wanna debate this event? I'll respectfully decline, as I'm an atheist. Many Christians are deeply offended by what I have to say on the subject, and I do not like to offend. It's each person's responsibility to decide for themselves what they believe, but also to maintain peace in the face of opposing views. I did not realize what the "Raptor" thread was about. I thought it was some stupid dinosaur movie, or something, and just didn't bother to look. I feel disrespectful if involved in open mockery of other's sensibilities, so I won't participate in it.

so your atheist? dont worry. alot of my friends are atheist. and your opinion is justified and wouldnt/dont offend me. Sorry, I didn't mean to sound stuffy. I just know I've really stepped on toes, in past, and I hate to make someone feel like they have to defend themselves. They have as much right to their ideas, as I do. I'm actually happy to share what I believe, but I have no desire to "convert" or "convince" anyone to share them. I used to, when I was younger. I kind of wish I did believe in some higher being. It would be a comfort, sometimes.

and i know you probably dont wanna hear this, but ill be praying for you. There's a debate in Site Feedback, people seem calm, which is good. I am quite touched. It is a very caring thing to pray for someone. I often tell people I will pray for them when they ask me too. I could be wrong, and it doesn't hurt me to offer a little prayer if it brings someone relief.

well, i pray for all of my friends. to me there is this natural urge to pray for someone to help them get through whatever.

Personally...I think we'll be fine. Treat the days like any normal day, letting such things like this be an obstacle only makes other things difficult. I have a couple of hardcore religious friends that is pretty much shivering hard due to this, "Rapture". I'm not atheist or anything, I know somewhere that there is a superior being. Lately (Especially around California) most conversations I walk by seem to have only been about this..Hmm..~
