It's okay, it just felt like you were very strongly against the dragon thing. I didn't want an argument to break out.
Those are good ideas actually. But it's not for my Havessa character that I'm asking for input, but the fore-mentioned nameless character at the top of the last page. I was thinking she would be a fire element of the type. And yes, I would classify Havessa as more of a Mage, I was thinking that she wouldn't really know about casting spells until they reach the mountain (I believe Lesuva mentioned his mage character lived in a tower there - who was ultimately the one who brought Havessa to the time in the story.)
While Havessa has the potential with her telekinesis (which she already mastered, just has no memory of it.) to become very powerful, which includes elemental control (When you think about it, if she knew and understood science down to the periodic table of elements, she could move chemical particles with her mind - telekinesis - to create chemical reactions. The only thing she couldn't manipulate directly is light, time, and and anything else that doesn't really have a physical form - her limitation is though, that she has to have complete scientific knowledge of that in order to accomplish that, and that type of knowledge isn't exactly available in the time setting of the story.)
But back onto the initial topic of my SECOND character I'm looking to make. I need ideas for her that work with everyone's stories. Really I'm kind of bending backwards with this character to please everyone else. In the end she won't really be MY character, I'll just be role playing her. Everyone else got much more freedom in developing theirs, but everyone's back stories are detached from everyone else's. I'm trying to link a few characters.
EDIT - New idea. If there will be an incorporation of dragons into the story, this new character could be a "tamer" or even a "breeder" perhaps? I need a reason for Raphael to want to capture her lol. Doesn't have to be about dragons though, could be for something else.

Ace really doesn't want to have anything to do with his past.
That's also the reason he never gives a last name.
It hurts him all too much, Emotionally.
Before coming to Paris, he only had one friend. Whom he met in the prisoners camp: Axel.
And Axel, is dead now, killed by one of the guards of said camp.
Ace hates everything about the fire tribe, and plans to kill his father once Ace's strong enough. He hates anything that has to do with the fire tribe, or is simular to the way they handle.
Yet, he's proud on his element. And on the way he can control it. (He got trained from his birth. Literally.)
So, being a fire elemental, related to Ace's tribe. Will either cause Ace to get into an emotional depression. (Emo Ace! xd ROFL!)
...
Or they'd become enemies.

Could be interesting.
But what about a childhood friend?
Just because this character may be from the same tribe, doesn't make her like Ace's father. Like I said, I want to tie in some characters.
Typically, a person will remember the negative aspects of their lives more than the good parts. Especially a child, and the good parts are drowned out even more so when there's a flood of bad experiences that seem so much more prominent. Be a tad flexible? I'm trying to be terribly so.

Ace has always been kept within the walls.
And did nothing else then train all day, so that he could become a strong warrior such as his father one day. And rule the "World" ..just like his father intends to.
I can't suddenly change that fact, simply because you wish to make a character that has something to do with Ace.
Ace is Ace.

Well, I mean, Backstories don't HAVE to be linked. My character has nothing to do with anyone else's, but I have solid reasons for being with them. There's nothing wrong with the freak encounter and a motivation one way or another to join.
if I may ask however, why do you want a second character? What's wrong with just the one?

Well I want to help make the story more interesting. That's all. And yes, I had Priya's permission with this character so long as who-ever's stories her coincided with were okay with it, clearly no one was okay with it EXCEPT Priya. I had discussed it with her in PM's before I even posted in the OOC.
I'm still going to keep my first character. What's wrong with having two?

Nothing I suppose, but I would post the same question back to msot people saying, what's wrong with one?
...from an RP leader's standpoint, NPCs and secondary characters are necessary, but from a player' standpoint, it's my opinion that a PC should never really need more then one character. As a moderator I created a second character, but i used him in I think 2 posts for ONE instance, to be brought back only if needed. For everything else, Cobra is my main, and that's perfectly enough for me.
I guess it's a question of what do you plan to do with 2 characters rather then just the one?

Like I said, to make the story more interesting. But my idea was shot down anyways, so it doesn't matter. I may be new to this clan and guild, but I'm definitely not new to Gaia or Role Playing. I've been here for a good 5 - 6 years y'know. I don't really need explanations from the p.o.v's, I've been them all. Heck I used to own a roleplaying guild myself. I'll use just one character for now. My creative juices for characters are shot and discouraged now anyways. I need to save that energy for my commission work for Priya.

It seems that it IS what you meant. And my responce was. That Ace didn't have childhood friends. Unless you count his trainers, which aren't really friends. Cobra's right. Why would backstories have to match? Meeting in the present works too. Infact, everyone in the RP met eachother in the "present" (1700. Paris) Atleast, the main characters. Not the secondary characters and/or P-NPCs It's not like I don't like your ideas. I just don't like changing my character because you wish to have your character's story match mine.

Thy - because I think it's stupid how the only characters that tie in together are ones that one user plays. (Like Priya's characters, or Alex's.) Where as everyone else's characters just randomly become a part of the story. It's typical and tiresome. I already said I won't make the character so you can give it a rest. Furthermore, I don't recall reading that Ace was friendless in the bio, but I'll go back and read it again.

It's a discussion. I'm not saying you shouldn't create a new character.
I was just saying that Ace didn't have any childhood friends.
If you insist that your character ties in with Ace, here's a few suggestions:
What you COULD do.
Is create a character that also has been in the camp.
But has been sold to Raphael.
Ace would remember her face...
Ofcourse, this too will have remember things he'd rather not remember. Things he locked away. But it works.
Or, It could be Axel's sister.
Not much is said about Axel anyways. But he was pretty much Ace. Without the elemental powers. And the father/training.
But the basic personality is the same. However, that doesn't affect Axel's sister.
I could make a tektek for Axel. On wich you can base his sister on.
Ehhh.......... What's also possible is... rolleyes

I'll think of more things. I'm not sure right now.
Also. My sugestion.
Try another race.
We've had humans.
We've got a dwarf.
Rose, was an elf. (She's disappeared. The character)
We've got a fairy..
And we've had undead.
I'm not sure what's still avaiable then. But they seem to give variation.

I'll just tell you why I chose Ace to tie in the stories kay?
The enemy is the DeLeon fire tribe right? I wanted to create another character that would be considered on that side, since we have so many heroes. A fire elemental only seemed like a good idea. But at the same time, I didn't really want to play someone evil, just lead astray in some way.
I like the idea of Axel's sister actually, or even the comment about a girl in the camp, maybe we can do both? I'd like to see where those ideas could go.

Well. Do remember.
The fire tribe on the plains below DeLeon's mountain, are not the same as those of Ace's father.
Atleast, That's what Priya told me.
But, you're saying...An enemy of Ace?
If it'd be Axel's sister. She might be Ace's enemy, because she'd blame Ace for Axel's death?
Dunno..
Also, the idea of being Axel's sister AND being in a camp might or might not work.
If the whole family was sent to a camp. They surely would be in different camps. If it was the same camp, Ace surely would help Axel to rescue the rest of his family too.
