Myuutsu They'll never make a film like that again emo It's the non-super Superhero movie that, with ease, is the most grandeur. Knew it would be. Knew it. And for a massive Batman fan like me, I am so happy with the results. Well ******** done, Nolan. Without even intending to, DKR is a big "this is how it's done" to all the other Superhero movies of late. Don't get me wrong, I really, really liked The Amazing Spider-man. And Avengers was ... okay. It was okay. Can't say I was stunned like the rest. Didn't really get the hype. Well made, sure, but, can't really say anything strongly about it. But this? This is how a film about a hero should be. In fact, it didn't even feel like a Superhero movie. It felt as though you were a part of it. Like it was family, like you were a part of a real Gotham. And you felt every break, every tremor. Maybe that's just me though, because I follow the comics, and I love them. I don't know. I do know, however, that as usual Nolan has delivered. The film was just the way to end the trilogy in my opinion. Just. epic.

I thought The Avengers was alright. I liked the SFX and stuff, sure, but I can't say I was blown away by it or anything. It was entertaining, but that was about it for me. Didn't move me, or give me anything to take away, if you know what I mean?
As for The Amazing Spider-Man, that was ridiculously cute, light-hearted superhero goodness. It didn't take itself too seriously, and was pretty much like watching a comic (if you could) from start to finish. Captured Parker very, very well and was fairly true to Spidey comic-canon. Entertaining, but also fairly emotive. I think they took a leaf from Nolan's book when making the film. They gave Spidey a lot of 'human grief' that gave him grounding. Although the effects were nothing in comparison to The Avengers, I still enjoyed it a hell of a lot more.
Don't look online at anything DKR related. There will be spoilers everywhere. Though, saying that, if you're a part of the B-man fandom, there have been spoilers about since they started filming.

*giggles at thread* Aw, I never watch movies anymore. Watching movies in a dark theater tends to trigger migraines in me. Video games, I can pause those and take my eyes off the screen in most cases; same thing with computer and TV stuff. But it kinda annoys other people that I need a decently lit room and a pause button to watch movies comfortably.
Way back on a male anime character with freckles, you think there'd be somebody... can't say that I know of any.

Aw that's sucky =[ My boyfriend just point-blank refuses to go to the cinema because it's too expensive and you get annoying people there and it's uncomfortable and it makes me grumpy xD I'd love to go to the cinema with him but nooooo xD
I'm struggling with the male anime character. emotion_facepalm I might just try and get one without freckles and photoshop them in?

Just saw The Dark Knight Rises, and it was just nice. (Am I allowed to describe a Batman movie as "nice?") It felt good, and a very good wrap-up to the trilogy. Altogether concise and complete. I am very okay with it.
I wonder if we could find one of the Weasleys drawn in an appropriate style to modify?

Emili Myuutsu I can't trade with you this week because I lost my game. Would you be able to help me connect my DSi to a WPA connection sometime? Oh, no! D= I hope it turns up soon. And yes, I'd be glad to help. (Do you use MSN or some other IM service at all? That would probably be easier than sorting it out via PM.) I found my game. I use MSN Messenger so if you were still willing to help me sort out this connection I'd be grateful.

Batman was good, but (don't shoot me) I wasn't like blown away by it. Everything that happened was all I really expected. =/ Good film, great film even, but they've blatantly left it open for another one in, I dunno, 5-10 years time I guess. *shrugs* I guess, I expected more?

My MSN is silvergrotto(at)hotmail.com; feel free to add me. I might not be able to catch you before Monday, though. I'm working quite a bit the next couple days.

And you're on my list now, too! Sorry if I didn't add you right away--MSN seems to have stopped telling me when someone adds me while I'm offline. =/

I don't log onto it all the time and I saw you were online on Gaia and it reminded me. I just did a Dreamworld session and got the following:
Snorunt Cranidos Sneasel Whismur Dunsparce
If there's anything from that list you want, I'll choose it. They're all males though.
I also have a bunch of Pokes in the dreamgarden place if you wanted something with a Dreamworld Ability?

Myuutsu I don't understand why, but my WiFi is working on my Black version. Huzzah! I'm glad it's abruptly working.
Hmm, there's not much I need at this point . . . I've got two and a half screens full of pokemon in my entralink, too. I think the only thing I'm looking for is a snorunt. Hopefully I'll stumble across one in the dream world soon, but . . .
I need to get cracking on White 2. xD Just finally got myself past Cheren's gym. (You can trade between BW and BW2, so if there's any pokemon anyone particularly wants from a Japanese cartridge . . . ) I am rather excited to get Genesect this fall, but I'm frustrated that I would have to be in Japan to get a Meloetta.
