I love Mexican food. I'd love to get into the States, and try some more authentic food - Canadians aren't known for Mexi-cuisine.
I love kids. But I never had any and never will. I got this idea in my head when I was seven, and pretty much stuck to it. Sometimes I feel a pull, and wonder if I've made the right decision - but I know I'd make a kid nuts.
What was the essay about, Magic?

Lyx, if you have not enjoyed Mexican food in the States then you need to! If you ever look for a place while here in America look for Azteca Las Mageriatas El Torreros
They are all amazing Mexican food restaurants. Before I met my boyfriend I was adimit that I would not have children but it changed after some soul searching and realized it was something I`ve wanted to do. ...Not to say you`ll do that too Lyx. whee
The essay is about Malcolm X`s self education strategies. He has dyslexia so I do his English homework and I have dyscalculia which is a math disability so he does my Math homework. LOL.

You make a good team!
Thanks for the restaurant tips. I'll look for them when we're in the states. We're off to Oregon in a few days.

Yeah Seattle traffic is the worse. When we take my mom to her chemo-therapy appointments we have to really schedule ourselves. whee I hate the traffic in Seattle.

The essay is about Malcolm X`s self education strategies. He has dyslexia so I do his English homework and I have dyscalculia which is a math disability so he does my Math homework. LOL. I have dyslexia as well. I've learned how to cope with it on my own. My 1st grade teacher even told my mom that "I wouldn't amount to anything," because I was struggling to learn how to read. That summer my cousin who was two grades above me taught me how to read. My second grade teacher figured out that I had dyslexia and actually let me stay after school to play some of the phonics games he had on his computer (the things was massive if I remember correctly), and encouraged me to participate in the Pizza Hut Book It club where I got rewards for reading books. After that, I was reading at a post high school level in 5th grade. Dyslexia just takes a little bit of work to overcome. I still see different letters in place of others, but I've learned to read the context of a sentence to realize what the word is actually supposed to be. I still have problems where my brain will put a different word in place of what I'm actually thinking when I write or type, but that's what proof reading is for. xp
El Torito is one of the best Mexican food chains around the California area, but honestly, the best Mexican food usually comes from those little family operated restaurants. The one where the cook has usually been making the food since forever.

*sips her tea*
I honestly wasn't very interested in it... I imagine it was pretty elaborate and I bet the tax payers had a wonderful time paying for it. ^^;
