EMO IS NOT A FASHION STYLE OR TYPE OF PERSON, IF YOU PLAN ON JOINING GET THAT OUT OF YOUR HEAD. IF YOU DISAGREE THE DON'T JOIN, IT'S THAT EASY
READ THIS BEFORE APPLYING IF YOU DON'T I'LL BE ABLE TO TELL AND REJECT YOU.
Females may join the guild, but upon requesting to join the guild, you must acquiesce to the superiority of the male entity. So states the first law of zSkramzEdgez

If you do feel the need to complain about anything in this guild know that your message will be posted so members can laugh at it.

Don't be a dipshit, you'll just end up banned after we have our fun flaming you

If you hate labels, don't join. We don't want you.

Members are reminded that if you don't start posting you will be kicked out.

If you came here to just learn about what Emo really is, say so in your application and you won't be judged on the bands you list.

If you are accepted in, post in the introduction thread
I'd just like to say first off If you're going to request to be a member and join the guild only to never bother coming back- Don't bother. Also if you enjoy bitching about labels, DON'T JOIN

I think the subject of this guild is pretty self explainatory. Anything can happen in here, it's a place to talk about all things emo, have other discussions, meet neat people, have fun and role play if you like.

Please include a reason for joining. If you are accepted, fill out the entry form in the appropriate thread. Also give a reason for why you want to join, I'm just going to decline you if you leave the reason blank. Please list some "emo" bands(, DON'T LIST NON-EMO BANDS,) you listen to that way I can brutally judge you and deem you worthy or not to join.

The Fundamental Truths of Emo
1. Whether it is emo, post-emo, screamo (which is a pretty bad name for a genre), emo violence, it is all to be referred to as emo, unless absolutely necessary to be addressed singularly.
2. There are no emo bands on these record labels (and help me on this, as well) Victory, Fueled by Ramen, Reprise, Eyeball, Island.
3. If you hear more than 5 distinct notes sung in a song, it's probably not emo. Most words are yelled/screamed/sung so harshly that the notation cannot be deciphered.
4. Emo only rarely contains a breakdown, but the breakdown makes sense musically, as such in Seeing Means More's "Bernadette Protti." After the breakdown, there is a soft part with a repeated line of lyrics, proper for emo.
5. Though emo is not a fashion, there is one undeniable guideline "...if your jeans have a larger flare than bootcut and you don't have a vagoo you fail at Emo.

The following bands are NOT emo
Anything on Victory Records
Fallout Boy
Hawthorne Heights
Weezer
Dashboard Confessional
Slayer
Anything with "bloody" "matchbook" "romance" "chemical" or "valentine" in it
Good Charlotte
Simple Plan
Blink 182
Linkin Park P.O.D Velvet Revolver(people are stupid and put these bands in their form)
Slipknot
Evenescence
Greenday
From First To Last(I'm almost at the point where I will reject your application if I see them)
Panic! At The Disco
Silverstein

Do not argue with this list, you will just be proven wrong.
