Welcome to a world where dragons used to exist in a relatively peaceful coexistence with humans. They were voiceless companions, or independent wild creatures--but never pets. However, after an unfortunate incident where the dragons were forced to attack due to self-defense, they were believed to be evil and dangerous monsters who would just as soon kill a human as they would look at it. It's been a hundred years since that day and the notion is engraved into the minds of the people, separating humans from dragons. But there are those who still believe in the good in dragons. They form their own small secret bands in different regions of the land and tend to live in the woods or the mountains, where they can safely interact with the dragons without being arrested and without the dragons being hunted.

That is not to say that there are no bad dragons. For it was evil dragons who encouraged the war to go on once it had started. When humans were looking for reasons to kill, hunt, and make war on dragons, the Evil Ones gave it to them by raiding small innocent villages. But just as you can’t clump a whole group of people together and assume they are all exactly the same, you can’t take one group of dragon and use them as an example for the whole species.



Our story lies in a land called Igonia. Igonia is the only country left where dragons may roam freely, but the hunters have started to invade. Therefore, Igonia has declared war a double-sided war on behalf of the dragons. Against dragon-hating countries. And also against the Evil Ones. Although Igonia is a great and powerful country, they are still sorely outnumbered. Who will win this war? When will the violence and prejudice end?

Igonia is a beautiful land with many grassy hills and mountainous islands. During the day, it is filled with sunlight, and by night is it lit by candles and bonfires. The palace and it’s surrounding vicinity are the safest for dragons. This is where the Keeper Nursery and the Training Arena are also located. Therefore it is the most populated, the hardest to get to, and heavily protected. Many dragons—especially Elites—dream of reaching this place. This safe haven, where a stone path through treacherous forests leads to a rickety old rope bridge over the highest of chasms. It is guarded by the fiercest of dragons and soldiers. And somewhere beyond all the danger, the huge, stunning Igonian castle rises into the sky.

Igonia hasn’t been ruled by a king or queen ever they were killed in a hunters raid shortly after the incident that started the war 100 years ago. The tradition was broken and now, it is ruled primarily by princes. As you enter this world, you will find the current ruler to be a young, wise, brave, yet lonely and burdened prince. Although he is given to the desires of a youth, do not question his capabilities. The one who doubts him the most is himself.
