In a time of old...
A Celtic soldier fought valiantly but was felled by an enemy Viking, mortally wounded the soldier returned to his town where he was put into the careful care of the town's healer. In her care he grew strong once more however he was never able to gain strength enough to return to his brethren on the battlefield and remained home where he eventually settled down with the very woman who had saved him, building a family they grew proud of.

Some doors were closed...
The sons were raised with care but eventually the war found its way to their home and their father encouraged them to defend their home. All agreed but their mother grew restless and in her worry revealed herself to be a witch by casting a spell on the brothers and their father, granting them eternal life unbeknownst to them. Shortly after the spell was cast their enemies arrived and in the resulting fray all the brothers lost their lives, or so it was thought. However some time later the brothers rose once more to find their mother dead, their father missing, and their enemies pillaging what was left of their beloved home. Rage filled them and soon they discovered a new desire resting within them, a desire for blood. In their rage and blood lust the brothers utterly decimated what was left of their enemies ranks, feasting on them until none were left standing. It was at this time they learned of what their mother had done and left home, knowing that eternal life must always come with a price.

While time passed on...
The brothers lived happily in the next town over, some finding love and others attempting to find peace while living in tandem with the creatures they had become. However fate had a different plan in mind and they were soon found by their father who returned after years living with an unknown fate. At first things were fine, the family lived happily but as the days passed their father began to lose more of himself, becoming violent and angry with fate, taking it out on the brothers. Eventually the brothers grew tired of it and ran, but their father followed and for the next few centuries he became the bane of their existence. Together they moved from place to place, never staying somewhere for long and doing their best to stay hidden in fear of their father finding them.

A new story's told...
Years passed as the brothers lived the lives of runaways until one day their father caught up and viciously attacked the youngest of the brothers. The others grew outraged having finally had enough of his endless torment and attacked him in response, killing him without mercy. Now as free men they finally settled down in a mansion at peace and have lived there since. However even immortals become restless and lonely so to appease them and keep their town safe the town has gifted the immortals companions that they can do with as they please.

This is where the story begins
