Welcome to the Tokyo Rebuild Project! Here we are more than happy to accept anyone that survived the machine wars. This city, once the center of the world was brought to ruins during the war, but now the gathering of the first survivors of the war have started this marvelous project to rebuild it to its former glory and provide a home for all of the surviving humans, machines and holograms. There are some things you need to know first before we’ll let you into our rebuild district, so please be sure to follow procedure so that we can get you settled into your new life as soon as possible!

History:
It was the year 2079 when all of the chaos started. The world had advanced itself into the future. The programs for touchable holograms were perfected, as well as the speech program “Vocaloid” that was originally brought in to use in Japan ages before the age of robo and holo reliance. The human race created these holograms and newly formed robots to do tasks they didn’t feel like doing anymore, and soon, because of the amount of debt each country held from working on these projects, soon the idea of currency was forgotten and the world’s debt was erased. The world was united under a world government, and everything on the surface seemed to be thriving.

However, all was not as well as it seemed. The system of the world government was not going as well as the powers that created it hoped it would. Each country that entered this union was starting to get angry with one another. For example, China, the productive capital of the world was annoyed that the “rebuild project”* hadn’t reached them yet, and that many of their citizens still lived in poverty, in the ghettos. The central and South American continents were enraged that they weren’t getting and support from the world state either! Their culture was being wiped out by this “Americanization” of the world state. Even the home of the world Capital, Tokyo Japan was under a lot of stress because of the destruction of cultural differences around the world. Furthermore, all of the other countries were claiming other lands that once belonged to other countries before the world united. Soon, groups rebelling against the world state started to organize, and thus, the world Revolution began in the year 2080.

This war was not a normal one. No longer did man fight man, but machine fought machine! The values that rested of the pain and suffering and loss of human life no longer existed, and thus, there seemed to be no consequences of the battles fought. Modern man wasn’t worried about how many machines they lost, but as time went on, the cost started to hurt the rebels as the idea of currency started to gain power once more. The government controlled most of the resources, and getting loyalists to share their products with rebellion groups was dodgy business. Those found selling robotic and hologram materials to rebel groups were executed by the government. The cost of life started to play its way into the war, slowly, but surely.

The Government fighting against the people of the world… These were the two sides in this war, and as the war of machine slaughter dragged into its 5th year, scientists were growing tired of seeing their beautiful machines destroyed in such a meaningless manner. Their response was the release of a new program that allowed machines to experience emotions, and to suffer when in battle. This display of human emotion started to draw on the hearts of the people, causing the war to now have more sentimental loss for both the rebels and the government officials. Of course, the first reaction was for people to begin search for a ways to remove this program and bring back the sterile feeling of the war had had before this emoto-chip installment. However, the scientists that designed the chip were smart enough to know this would happen, and made it so even the bots themselves wouldn’t know, and wouldn’t be able to tell if they were equipped with these emoto-chips.

Ten years after the beginning of emoto-chips, the bots now had enough intelligence to know that this war wouldn’t end unless something rash happened. What happened next changed the world forever. A small group of bots that had obtained this intelligence hi-jacked government issued mecha and used it to bring the world into ruins. Most of the human race was slaughtered, and the vast majority of machines were destroyed or shut-down. The world fell into a stage of silent suffering, and for many years, the world was once again savage and untamed, and was now forced to rebuild, and start anew.

In the year 3000, the human race began to organize again, meeting at the place where it all started in order to make a treaty of peace. On the grounds of Tokyo Japan, the former capital of the world, the surviving people of the human race met and promised to start here with the new “Tokyo Rebuild Project”. This project would be the shelter of the world to help the human race rise once more prosper.

*The first rebuild project was a world state project to bring up the standards of living around the world and make the human population more balanced in terms of living conditions. It was originally established in the lower-class areas of Tokyo Japan and quickly expanded to the other large countries that had more influence in the world state senate.
