This used to be a tournament ran on Gaya Online for the masses. However, it was rife with cliques, backwater drama, absurd egos, and scandals like you wouldn't believe. So much so, that it became a recurring issue where the staff would either quit or implode.

This came to a head with the last successfully completed year, HoH 2012. (Not to be confused with the failed HoH 2011 which ended after barely proceeding due to people playing MMOs. lol)

After threatening to burn the whole place down if he didn't get the guild back so he could sit on it and do nothing, Vahn let it idle into the abyss until 2018. It took a while for I, the great Haelikor to get behind this logic, but now-well, let's not skip ahead in the story!

There, Vintrict of the now defunct GTB's fame, tried to run an HoH tournament. It had some weird quasi-kit system that had zero effort. It was made fun of. He quit. Thus came the final HoH: HoH Re-Union or if you prefer, HoH 2018/2019.

It was a community ran event. Think, crowd-sourcing an RP tournament. Cool idea, right? There's a bit of democracy going on, we use modern day tools like Google Docs to zing it up, it'll be great! And we'll have a good time playing fairly.

Then reality set in. The above is my beautiful Duck Watch.

Essentially, there was hidden staff rooms on a Discord for the event where people got to vote on things. However, you didn't need to do any staff work to have a vote, strangely. This devolved into more clique-bound garbage. Many prophetically self-destructive policies got OK'd by hive-mind.

Then people refused to even post or have any real deadline outside of the 5th (then moved to final) round.

The Discord became an absurd farce where people were mocked for even trying to drum up content or activity. There was a political chat there, mostly posted in by more right leaning or conservative members, where the moderators would effectively use it as a cudgel to justify randomly banning or temp-suspending members during entirely innocuous interactions. My favorite was someone discussing the anime Sengoku Basara and getting a suspension for 14 hours. Despite the moderator being pleaded to on how they must've misread the conversation, this fell on deaf ears.

Team chats in the Discord were posted in frequently by the most inactive of teams, ranting about shitty video games they were playing or art they were buying-- while their fellow players and opponents in the tournament were left with zero information on what was happening besides occasional and vague lies.

There were (now demonstrated) false accusations of sexual misconduct, communication blackouts regarding posting frequency if even once a month, three+ Discords fled to for folks to fracture up, etc.

Finally I, Haelikor, could take it no more. Even if Gaia is slated to fall in 2020 since I highly doubt they're going to update this s**t website to not be flash!

I purged their infidel Discord of misconduct.

To their great anger, I unearthed the misdeeds of a few. Good!

I mocked their inactivity again and again, turning them into nothing more than memes even among the dredges of this community!

Then, halting their Terms of Service account sharing ways, I regained the guild stolen from me in 2013 by Vahn Feh! A few cowards amidst them tried to retaliate, and failed! I purged the guilds of all HoH content! Some anonymous coward procured incomplete and sloppy archives on MediaFire, but that implies any of these lazy losers would even bother taking the effort to open a .ZIP file; never mind they can browse their spit upon legacy on their Macbooks in solitude!

Heed these lessons, random passerby. For I have no doubt their caricature of communism lies permeate in their ever shrinking and dirtier circles!

1. Practice good password security.
2. Political incorrectness of the saying aside, never be in a situation where you have 1000 Chiefs and 3 Indians. You don't need a thousand moderators, both for security and for conciseness of planning -- you want a few pillars only.
3. Don't RP on Gaia. It's terrible here. Everything you write has a very short lifespan here, you're setting yourself up for failure.
4. Not that you'll ever see them active longer than for 5 minutes every half decade but, avoid the now obscure and forgotten "LeviCrowd" and "HoH!" They're s**t!

Thank you for reading my cool rant, arrivederci!
