W elcome to the Barton Town Restoration Project!


Mission Statement
Here at the BTRP it is our goal to restore Barton Town and all roleplays here on Gaia to a standard of literacy and creativity. We hope to obtain this through basic techniques: creating an example of literacy, designing more literate roleplays with higher standards, and instructing newcomers in techniques of literacy. We help members create interesting roleplays, provide resources for those skilled in profile layouts, give lessons on how to make your posts look more attractive, and provide a community of literate roleplayers for you to recruit for whatever roleplay you are making.

About the BTRP

The Barton Town Restoration Project [BTRP] is a coalition of literates from all over Gaia, with the common goal of increasing the standards of literacy and creativity on Gaia. By joining you are already making a difference in the face of Barton Town. Maybe you're like many of the people here, who've just gotten tired of seeing the same old High School, Twilight, Asylum, and School for the Gifted roleplays that are beginning to spam Barton Town. That's good. We're the same way.

Maybe you were recommended to check this place out by someone already in the BTRP because they believe you can do better. That's fantastic! The number one goal of this guild is to educate those we think can improve. Believe it or not, when I first got to Gaia I could barely string together a paragraph, my punctuation was non-existant and I didn't even know how to capitilize. How did I get better? By being surrounded by those that were already at where I wanted to be. By joining you're taking one step closer to reaching a high literacy rate, which means we're one step closer to fulfilling our goal. So join, I'm sure there's something you can find of interest here.
