Kuoh Academy was a school for aspiring students coming from many parts of the world. It had been an all girls school for quite some time, but that was just until about three years ago--when boys suddenly were allowed to be transferred in. However, these minor facts are irrelevant to what makes the Academy so intriguing and unique.

In the Academy, there were a couple of clubs in the school that were quite out of place. They were actually clans disguised as clubs. These "clubs" did not contribute to the Academy in any form or way--they didn't hold fundraisers, or group activities. The only thing they seemed to do was hold daily meetings. The clubs limited themselves to 14 members for an unknown reason. What these particular clubs really did do aside from meetings was to clash with one another from time to time.

Though, this was all from the point of view of normal students in the campus. Yes, there were some things hidden there that they were unaware of. Secrets. Things they didn't know. Couldn't know. What exactly was it that hasn't been told?

That is...when you were born, there was something inside of you, something given to you. An incomparable force of energy--you could even label it a blessing. After all, not everyone had been as lucky as you to be born with this sui generis force. It was called...the Sacred Gear. Quite unfortunately, it's pretty much useless to you now. Well, for now. At least, its useless to those of the human species. Which you, the protagonist, are, of course.

Because really...what else could you be?

The answer is...a Demon, and, well, an angel. Now any particular demon, could use these Sacred Gears. As they were also capable of revamping you into a demon. That being said, the only way to do that was have a clan member kill you and you'd be revived as demon kin. However, angels, they have sacred gears, but they do not have the same clans as demons do. They will work with demons, as well as angels work collectively with each other.

When you are first transferred into Kuoh Academy, those who confirm and accept your entrance applications--not even they are aware of the reason why you were sent there. After all, you were a human. The ones who actually wanted you there were the Presidents of the aforementioned unique clubs.

You see, they can track and determine humans who have a gears and those who don't. And they are informed daily about humans with er, potential so to speak, who could be transferred to the school. That being, of course you would happen to know nothing of this. And you wouldn't find out, not until it's been too late. Why, yes, by the time you come to realize what had happened, you'd already be slave to a demon.

Question is, just how nice would they turn out to be? Oh and, friendly tip! ..Don't bother running away. A demon or angel that has attempted to escape their master will be hunted.
