It doesn't do anything anymore in zOMG because Deadman's Shadow is open to everyone.

people could buy it for GC so they could enter DMS before others, but now anyone can enter it so its useless

It no longer has a purpose but I like to wear to let everyone know that I was one of the first people who entered DMS. That's pretty much it.
