Next riddle:
A man walked to the edge of a lake to mourn the death of his friend. He saw a sign next to the lake which said "There is no seaweed in this lake." Upon seeing this sign, he killed himself by jumping in the lake.
Why did he kill himself?

By "man", do you mean human? ['Cause you could just mean male]

If so, was it in that lake?

Was it assumed that his friend got tangled in seaweed, and thus drowned?

Tricky Ladykiller

Okay, was his friend's name Seaweed, and he jumped in to find him after he'd heard he died in said lake?

Was it assumed that his friend got tangled in seaweed, and thus drowned?
nope.

@cobalt: nope.
Did the friend think there was seaweed in the lake?
If so, was it this belief that caused his drowning?
Um. Is the sign actually important?
