The purpose of this thread will be to create and post tektek.org versions of the PotC characters. Jack, Will, Elizabeth, Barbossa, Pintel, Ragetti, Norrington, Mr. Gibbs, Murtogg, Mullroy, Davy Jones, and of the Flying Dutchman crew, Tia Dalma, a cannibal, a random pirate from the movie, Sao Feng, Beckett, or anyone else from the movies.
So here's your chance for some fun. Show off your creativity. If you wish to donate to me, I will definitley come up with more contests in the future.
The rules of the contests are as follows, no exceptions:
1. Only characters from tektek.org can be submitted. The reason for this, is because tektek has all the Gaiaonline items that are available. Sure it won't be perfect, i.e. the exact hat Jack wore in the movies not being an item in Gaia, but as close as you can.
2. No spamming or bumping the thread. Violators of this rule will be disqualified from participation.
3. Only PotC characters submitted. They can be obscure characters as well, like a skeleton pirate or a cannibal, but make it look like at least someone from the movies. If you don't think we can tell who it is, then label it.
4. Your quote will be judged as well as the tektek.org character submission. Quote has to be from one of the movies.
5. Other comments and discussions are allowed in this thread as well, but only pertaining to the movies or this contest. No talking about Star Wars, your boyfriend, the weather, or anime here. Just PotC stuff.
6. The winner of the best tektek.org submission and quote will receive 2500g. 2nd will win 1000 and 3rd 500. It isn't a lot I know, but its simply a contest to get things rolling for future contests I will hold. Donations are accepted in order to have better contests in the future with better prizes as well. You want to see them, you can donate, but it is not mandatory.
7. No swearing or vulgairty during the course of this thread either. Violators will not be given a chance to participate.
8. Multiple submissions are ok, but I'll draw the limit at 10. Can't afford to look at too many submissions.
Disclaimer: I have not been endorsed by Gaiaonline to have this contest or anyone from Disney either. This is just something I came up with for fun and with the possibility of making some gold while doing it. Have fun.
Contest ends Saturday August 4th, 2007. Winners announced the next day.
