PLEASE READ THIS ANNOUNCEMENT:

We are still locked out of the RBG account, and nothing further can be done on our part to get it back. We have gone directly to a developer with this issue, and what we were told is that they cannot remove developers from current projects, and therefore we must wait for the next upgrade to the bank/marketplace system. We appologize, as we realize this is an inconvenience, but there is nothing further we can do besides work through it.

Dri has given us permission to run the bank through our exchange shop mule 7-11 Cashier; all trades and PMs directly regarding accounts/loans/layaways should be sent to 7-11 Cashier. 7-11 Cashier Profile.

RBG founder, Kitsuta, has retired from the bank. ShadyPrincess, a former assistant to Kitsuta in bank processes, now runs the bank in it's entirety. ......Also, we recently announced a rough estimate of our debt total. This seems to have frightened a lot of people! My apologies for the shock, everyone. sweatdrop Please keep in mind that this is only a rough estimate and may actually be several million off. Anyway, I am keeping the poll up until the other manager gets back, and then we will get to work on some of the ideas we have been sent about getting our debt back. Thanks for the input, everyone!

___..|| Opening an Account ||..___

Opening an account is simple. Just send a trade to 7-11 Cashier with how much money you want to open your account with. You must title your trade to reflect how much gold is in it. This is very important for our records, so please be sure to do this!

Example 1

If you want to open an account with 500g...
Trade title: New Account - 500g

Your account will be created when you accept the trade and I complete it, no sooner. domokun

If someone told you to come to the bank(or you clicked on a banner in their signature), be sure to mention this to RBG when we give you your security number. Referrals earn the referrer an extra 150g credited to their account. smile

ALSO, if you have an account and want a little extra money, you can not only refer people to the bank for accounts, but also for our Rent a Guild feature! Referrers for the Rent a Guild get an extra 100g added to their account
Because the Rent-A-Guild feature is not currently open, you will not get gold for referrals to Rent-A-Guild.

After confirmed your trade, I will PM you with something called a Security Number. This number will be used for withdrawing money and to log in to the RBG website. It is necessary that you provide this security number to withdraw from your account, preferably in the title of the trade, or a corresponding PM. Withdrawal trades without a security number WILL BE CANCELED IMMEDIATELY. It is not, however, required for a deposit. Please save this number! Please also be aware that this number is IS case sensitive. This means that if your security number were "001a", then you need to enter it into the number in EXACTLY like that, "001A" will NOT work.

Simply send a trade with however much money you wish to deposit at that time. As with opening your accounts, you should change the trade title to reflect how much gold is in the trade.

Example 2

Depositing 500g
Trade title: Deposit - 500g

You may deposit into anyones account WITHOUT the use of a security number, however you will need to provide the name of the account you want to deposit into in the trade title. Only the account holding the RBG account (matching Gaia user ID numbers) can withdraw from an account, even if another account has the security number. More on this is in the "withdrawing" section.

___..|| Earning Interest ||..___

In order to get free money, you must have money in this bank for 15 days. On the 15th day, you will earn 2% interest on the amount in your account. After that, your interest rate will increase by 1% every 15 days until it reaches 5%. Here's an example:

Bob deposits 10k into the bank. After 15 days, his balance becomes 10,200g. This was 2% of his balance (200g) + his balance (10,000g). Next 15 days, his balance becomes 10,506. This is 3% of his balance (306g) + his balance. Assuming he doesn't withdraw more than 90% of his gold, this will continue until he earns 5% of his current balance every 15 days.

___..|| Interest Delay ||..___

Sometimes there will be a one or sometimes even two or three day delay in your interest. This shows basically by the balance checking on our webpage saying that you will gain interest the previous day. Don't worry! It won't change how much money you earn or your interest cycle, and is only a minor sort of bug in the interest adding system.

___..|| Checking Your Balance ||..___

To check how much money is in your account and what interest rate it is at, simply go here and enter the proper information. smile

___..|| Changing Names ||..___

In order to check, deposit or withdraw money without confusion, your RBG account name should match your gaian account name. We will not change RBG account names between Gaia accounts, even in the case of a hacking. If you switch accounts completely, you may deposit from your new account, but you cannot withdraw from it; you must log into the old account and withdraw your gold from that account in the way described below.

___..|| Withdrawing Your Money ||..___

Withdrawing your money is easy! To do so, you need to send a properly labeled trade (see below). It is necessary that you provide this security number to withdraw from your account, preferably in the title of the trade, or a corresponding PM. Withdrawal trades without a security number WILL BE CANCELED IMMEDIATELY. This is because of the enormous about of trade volume we get. The trade title should look something like this:

You can technically withdraw all your money, however, if you do so your account will close,4 your security number will be freed for someone else, and your interest will be halted until the trade can be filled. Withdrawals over 90% will automatically default to a full withdrawal of all the money in your account. You can open a new account at any time after closing your account. The trade title should look like this:

Getting a loan or layaway from the bank, but have trouble saving your money? Then simple accounts are for you!

___..|| About RBG Simple Accounts ||..___

Simple accounts are exactly like normal Accounts, except with no interest. This allows you to store your money out of sight even if you have a loan or layaway at the RBG. To start an account, simply send a trade with the gold to RBG, with a title stating that you are opening a simple account.

It's that easy! Just like normal accounts, you must confirm the trade within a month so I can keep track of your account properly.

___..|| Converting to a Simple Accounts ||..___

If you have a regular account at the RBG but want to take out a loan or layaway, you no longer have to withdraw all your money -- you can simply convert your account! this process is much quicker and simpler, not to mention profitable -- your interest rate won't reset when you convert! To convert your account, just PM me asking to convert your account, OR give me your security number along with your request for a loan or layaway so I can convert your account.

Example 2

Converting to a Simple Account
PM: I'd like to take out a loan of 20k, with a Coco Kitty for collateral. Please convert my current account. My security number is 000z.

After your loan or layaway has been fulfilled, you can convert your simple account to a regular, interest earning account. Interest will start counting from the day you send the PM, and will then act just like a normal account. To convert your account, make sure you have no outstanding loans or layaways. Paying Back Loans
This service is partially open. Loan payments can be made, and items can be retrieved, except under one circumstance: If you had on loan an item worth more, currently, than 1 million gold, we will be unable to accommodate that at this time. To discuss this further, please PM 7-11 Cashier. If this does not apply to your loan but you have the full funds to pay it back, please follow these steps:

1.) Check your loan here.
2.) Pay back all but 1k of the loan. Please send all trades to 7-11 Cashier with the title "Paying Loan - ___g/XXXg", replacing the "___" with how much gold you are paying back, and the "XXX" with how much of the loan is in total.
3.) After the first trade is accepted, send another trade with the remaining 1k. Upon receiving this trade, you will be put on the waiting list. Please send all trades to 7-11 Cashier with the title "Paying Loan - 1k/1k".

___..|| About Loans ||..___

Loans are just that -- loans. They are not free money, but they are not designed to get you into debt either. They are designed for people who are questing for large items and need a lot of gold quickly but don't want to sell their hard earned items. Loans do NOT have interest on them, so you always end up paying the same amount of gold. You can pay in installments or all at once, whatever is more convenient for you!

___..|| Getting a Loan ||..___

There is a loan minimum of 5,000g. Also, if you have an account in the RBG, it must be a simple account to qualify for a loan. You do NOT have to have an account at all to take out a loan. Finally, you need collateral.

___..|| Collateral ||..___

Collateral is a temporary deposit for a loan. As of January 29th, 2006, the RBG will only accept donation items or letters as collateral. Collateral needs to be worth 75% of the loan.

Example 1

Collateral
Say you want to take out a loan for 10,000g. You can use either:
One or more donation item(s) worth about 7.5k

If you want a loan, send a PM to RBG asking for one. Please do not post here. Be sure to include how much you want to borrow and what you will use as collateral. If you have an account with the RBG, be sure to include your security number so I can convert your account to a simple account.

Example 2

Good PM:
Hi, I would like to take out of a loan of 20k. I would like to put up my Kiki Kitty as collateral. Thanks!

Example 3

Bad PM:
hi I want to take out a loan for 5k i can pay u back in 2 weeks.

You need to offer collateral to get a loan. You can not use collateral worth less than 75% of your loan.

Loan amount (the amount of gold you can take out at one time) is only limited by how much gold we have on-hand at the time that you request a loan, and by the collateral that your provide.

After I have approved your loan, you may send a trade to RBG with your collateral included. The title should look something like this:

To check how much you have to pay back and what you are using for collateral, simply go here and enter your name. No security number needed! smile

In order to check and pay off your loan without confusion, your RBG loan username should match your gaian account name. If for some reason you change your gaian account name, please PM RBG with your old name. If you have a simple account and changed the name, this is not necessary. After your loan name is changed, you can check and pay off your loan under your new name. smile

Please note that if I don't hear from you within 3 months, I will PM you. If I don't hear back from you within a week after the PM, the loan will be canceled and I will keep the collateral. 3nodding

To pay back your loan, simply send me a trade for the correct amount of money . If you'd like to pay back in installments, that is fine too. I will send your collateral back on the last(or only) trade paying back your loan. If you have a simple account with the RBG, please include your security number in your last trade so I can convert your account back to a regular account!

Layaways are a way for you to buy donation items that rise in price very quickly. For a layaway, you put a donation item on hold for a set price, and then pay later. Interest free!

___..|| Qualifying for a Layaway ||..___

In order to prevent abuse of this service, there are a few things you need to qualify for a layaway.

Your account must have at least 500 posts.
Your account must be at least a month old.
You must have and provide a link to a relatively well organized thread.
Your quest thread must be at least 2 weeks old.
You must not have a regular account at the RBG, or you are converting your regular account to a simple one.
Currently you can not put October 2003 or earlier donation items on layaway.

That's it! If you have all of these things, look below to apply.

To apply for a layaway, simply PM me with the following information: What you want to put on layaway, what you will be using for payment, and your quest thread. A good example is below.

When I receive your PM, I will record your layaway and send you a confirmation PM telling you how much the layaway is for.

Small Pawning
This service is partially open. We will only buy store items under 10k and bugs/trash/flowers/game items. We will not buy lists of items worth more than 20k if the gold cannot be directly deposited into an existing RBG account. Please PM lists to 7-11 Cashier and we will get it to ASAP.

___..||How It Works ||..___

It is 250g a day to rent a guild. If you want to rent the guild for 7 days or more, the price drops to 100g per day! Guild renting is counted by 24 hour periods, starting whenever you like. If you want to rent the guild for a day, you can start at any time and it will end at the exact same time the next day.

The first subforum is free for any event. If you want any additional subforums, you will have to pay a 50g fee.

Keep in mind that RBG will always be the captain, and will appoint whoever is running the event as Crew. An unlimited number of people can run the event.

At the end of the celebration(or several hours after, depending on when exactly it ends), I kick everyone out of the guild. Depending on how popular this service is, I may be forced to delete all the threads right after it ends, so please copy and paste any posts you want to keep on to your computer. sweatdrop

We now can help you decorate for a nominal fee! To decorate, we either use custom made art or clipart that we find. We use all clipart within copyright laws to the best of our knowledge. The price is a 50g finder's fee for clipart, and starts at 100g for custom made art, depending on what you want. Shop Name Contest

This was the contest for our exchange shop's name! Many, many entries were given, but in the end ShadyPrincess and I decided that CaloDemon's "Gaian 7-11" entry was the best. He got 10k as a prize.

40k Lottery

This was our first attempt at a lottery, shortly after we had been scammed out of 657k by a customer. It did not go too well. @___@ We had to change the prizes several times, it took nearly a month to do, and our original method of determining the winner was not as random as we originally thought it was. I appreciate everyone who participated, however. (:

Bank Name Contest

This contest took place very early in the bank's life, in our original thread. ShyRomance won with the name you all know us by, "The Reserve Bank of Gaia". I don't think there was actually a prize...

We are looking for Exchangers. If you don't already know, exchangers are people who buy and sell items multiple times to earn a profit. It takes a lot of time, but can be very profitable.

Our exchanging system is a bit unique in order to standardize things and make everything a bit easier. Not everything is completely set up, but as we get more exchangers we will have a more automated system.

To become an exchanger, you need to fill out the form below and send it to RBG. Once I approve of the application, you can start the evaluation period at your convience. The evaluation period is a week of you exchanging as you normally would, except you keep a log. At the end of the week, you send me the log and I evaluate how well you did based on the information. Your log needs to contain the following things:

1) What you started with.
2) What items you bought and sold, preferably in chronological order.
3) Other ways you made money, IE fishing or collecting things in Towns. You don't need to include money you made by posting or browsing.
4) What profit you ended up with.

Once you send me that log, I'll evaluate how well you did and determine your starting balance based on that information and what you entered as your preferred balance. If that is okay with you, I will then send you a pledge to fill out.

The pledge is just a statement that you need to fill out and send to me in a seperate PM. It is a safeguard against scammers and other people who would want to take advantage of the bank. There are two pledges availiable - one including your real name, and one that doesn't include your real name. Once you fill out the pledge, I will send you your security number and a trade with your starting balance.

You then use that gold over the next week, next two weeks, or the next month in the exchange/marketplace/whathaveyou, and keep a log of what you do, just like the log you made for the evaluation period. At the end of each period you send me the record and deposit 90% of the profit you made into your account. Wash, rinse, repeat. Every so often you get 'bonuses' - more money to work with every one, two or three cycles, depending on whether you send in the money monthly, biweekly, or weekly. When you get a bonus, the profit you've sent in so far is taken out of your account to be used by the bank. You may not withdraw from your account. domokun
