Annoucements

01 February 2006- Well its been a big time. Mistalina, shop co-owner, left us, leaving it to be owned by Lady Aria Starstone, with the help of the wonderful Chibi Poet. Some new rules are being instigated, regarding gods.
03 January 2007 - Naming of SS gifts is going on in the December Event thread...please have a name posted by January 31st or your pet will not be growing. Look for some updates and additions in the coming weeks, pending on schedules of course. ^^;

In the beginning, there was a village, and the people there were fairly normal people, who led fairly normal lives. Then came the day when the stars begin to flicker, and fall from the skies. The villagers did not, save for the children, notice at first, and then as it became dark, urged their children to bed, and spoke not at all of the strange events, even though a great number had fallen, leaving the sky with great empty expanses.

When the children woke, and gathered as children still do to this day, to play and avoid the chores they should be doing, they asked each other, nervously, “What happened?”

Some said “Momma said the stars fell.”
Some said “Momma won’t tell me.”
Some said “Why does it even matter?”

One said “When the stars go out, it means change for the village. This I heard Papa say.”

The others turned to look at who spoke, and saw it was Muse, the daughter of the chief, who spoke only rarely. “He also said this means that strangers will come now, and we must be careful.”

The other children looked at each other in disbelief, and were ready to leave when, from behind where Muse stood, they heard an odd noise. It was a sort of breathy huffing, like some one trying to get the attention of others when they couldn’t talk. They looked around, and didn’t see anyone, but they heard it again. Then, from out of the grass, a large, purple and lizard-like animal emerged.

The children, save Muse, all argued about what it was.

“It’s a dragon!”
“No, its not, Dragons have wings! It’s an iguana!”
“Nuhuh! It’s not an iguana! It’s weird!”

Muse, meantime, kneeled to examine the little creature, and noticed it looked worried, timid, perhaps scared. She reached towards it, and it backs away, startled. The movement caused Muse to see a pattern of stars on its leg.

“Oh! Are you from… up there?” She points at the sky. The creature seems to look a little happier, and Muse guessed she was correct.

Then a whimpering sound was heard in the grass, and the creature darts back into it, followed by Muse, and the other children. When they catch up to it, they see a second one with it, its skin a light blue. The first nuzzles the second and stays close to it.

“Look, I see eggs! That blue one has EGGS!”
“Oh! That means there might be more!”
“I want one, let’s go get more!”

The other children ran off to hunt, leaving Muse with the two creatures. She considers them for a moment, and then murmurs “I’ll take you home with me, it will be safe there. Papa is busy, so he won’t notice you.”
This, then, is how the Ascendants came to the village, they say.
This, then, is how Muse came to be the wise caretaker of them, they say.
Creature, who fell from heaven at midnight, to bring change by dawn, they say.

They also say, now will come the strangers.

1. Respect the shop staff and other patrons.
2. Do not intentionally start fights in this thread.
3. Do not steal the lineart.
4. Use chatspeak and prepare to be maimed.
5. Begging will get you blacklisted.
6. No spamming to excess.
7. Don't stretch the pages!
8. Obey the Gaia Online Terms of Service.
9. Gods will be limited to ONE per person.
10. DemiGods will be limited to TWO per person.
11. Gods bought after the date 2/2/07 are REQUIERED RP if you want breeding, demis, or any thing else other then ownership.
Breaking any of these rules can result in a warning, grey listing or black listing as the staff of the shop sees appropriate.

If you are greylisted, during that time you will not be allowed to participate in shop events or sales until you removed from the list. There is not always a set time for you to remain greylisted. Harrasing the staff about removing you from the list will result in you being blacklisted.

If you are black listed you are under no circumstances allowed to remain in the shop, the guild or to enter or participate in any of the events related to the shop.

Since the shop has been reorganized there has been a little change in sales procedures obviously. All trades now go to the individual colorist that is to perform the work. I should find no trades on the shop or colorist mules.

Flatsales and events will be run at various times depending on the timetable of the individual colorist. Rules for each flatsale will be determined by the colorist.

However, there are some rules to be followed.

1. Do not discourage others from buying.
2. Trade must be sent to the colorist within 24 hours, or pet can be put up for resale.
3. Do not post pet requests before a sale is open.
4. Proxying is allowed, just make your own arrangements.
5. There will be no bragging about funds, or whining about lack there of.
6. To begin with, only one per sale, until colorist says otherwise.
7. Colorists can choose whether or not to allow use of flatsale coupons.

Any additional rules can be added, or rules removed at any time.

Ascendants are reptilian in nature, in that they are cold blooded and hatch from eggs.
Behavior wise, they are rather like felines. They communicate between each other with
their own speech, and with humans by chrips, growls, purrs and body language.

Ascendants begin there life as an egg, which after the "mommy" lays the clutch, you
will not see the kits til they've hatched. Upon hatching kits are about the size of large
house cats and notorious for their curiosity. After a few days, once they can get up kits
will try to get their little paws into everything.

Once they've had time to grow and mature, kits become younglings.
They are a fair bit larger now, coming to about the size of a small collie.
And they are every bit as moody and varied as you would expect from any teenger.

After more time as passed, Ascendants go through the rite of passage to adulthood.
This rite of passage involves feeding an Ascendant certain fruit, which will determine it's gender.
When seated, adult Ascendants are generally 2 1/2 - 3 feet high.

Q. May I co-own my Ascendant?
- Yes, your welcome to, just be sure to let the colorist know so that the cert is correct.

Q. Can I get more than one per sale?
- Yes, the purchasing of more pets is allowed after a certain amount of time as passed (determined by individual colorist.)

Q. Do you take bribes?
- Why not? mad D But, the amount of the bribe for what you want may differ by colorist, so you'll have to ask.
