Please, help me! Alice is hunting the Three Blind Mice. Cinderella killed her Prince and is running around with the Big Bad Wolf. The Three Little Pigs have stolen the Underworld from Hades. Hercules is locked in battle with Zeus. Everything has gone wrong here in the Fairy-Tale world, and I need someone to help me fix it. My name is Mary, and this is my Little Lamb. When Mother Goose retired, I took her place...and then the Sprites got loose. They're a lot like Fairies, but they're terribly evil, and the biggest pranksters I've ever met. They're confusing everyone in the World of Fairy Tales, and making them do horrible things!! What am I to do? Will you help me?

A literate roleplay based in the land of Fairy Tales, and not just the old ones you heard as kids, but all the fantasy stories you've seen in Disney Movies, Fairy Tale books, or, well, almost anywhere. Mary is hiring people to help her bring all the people from these fantasy stories back to their senses.

There are three ways to join in.

The first: Help Mary! You can play a normal Human who just wants to help see things go back to the way they were. All the books in the Human world are jumbled up, and you've arrived through a portal into Fairy-Tale Land. Mary, after hiring you, will give you three things: a bracelet that allows you to teleport back to her anytime you need (There may be times when it will not work. Don't try to God-mod with it), ONE magical weapon of your choosing which will allow you to combat the Sprites (You can choose magic instead of a weapon, but you must specify ONE type of magic and will be unable to use any other type), and a book of fairy tales the way they should be so that you can look up any characters you meet.

Two: Play one of the fairy-tale characters. Nothing from home-made stories or anything, as no one will know them. These might be the hardest to get approved, as it has to be something that people have heard of. Remember! You will not be acting the way this character would usually act. There are some characters that are still normal, and I will let you know if you send me a Profile for one of them. Any powers you have from being the character MUST be approved. (For instance: Hercules has super strength.)

Third: You can play one of the Evil Sprites. You are no taller than three feet, and you have dark wings. If you want to hide these, that is okay as well but, if you do, you will be unable to fly. Also, you can not use flight in a god-modding fashion...no taking off in the middle of battles, jumping around behind people so you can stab them in the back, etc. Your powers may include one type of magic, one special power of your choosing (I have to approve it when you send your Profile), and the ability to take over people's bodies (You can NOT take over a player unless they approve, and I must be notified that they've approved of the action. Because you are taking over someone else's body, you will experience a period of time where you must adapt to the body before being able to use it very well).

Please PM me with your Profile. I will either approve the character, or send you a message letting you know if anything needs to be changed. Once approved, I will post your character on the Profile and OOC Thread, and you may begin posting.
Gaia User Name: Gwendylyyn
Character Name: Mary
Gender: Female
Appearance: Mary has grown up since the time of playing in Schoolyards with her Little lamb, though he still follows her everywhere. Her bright red hair hangs in loose waves down her back, and her bright green eyes make her bright smile all the more comforting.

Bio: Mary had a little lamb,
Little lamb, little lamb,
Mary had a little lamb,
Its fleece was white as snow

And everywhere that Mary went,
Mary went, Mary went,
Everywhere that Mary went
The lamb was sure to go

It followed her to school one day
School one day, school one day
It followed her to school one day
Which was against the rules.

It made the children laugh and play,
Laugh and play, laugh and play,
It made the children laugh and play
To see a lamb at school

And so the teacher turned it out,
Turned it out, turned it out,
And so the teacher turned it out,
But still it lingered near

And waited patiently about,
Patiently about, patiently about,
And waited patiently about
Till Mary did appear

"Why does the lamb love Mary so?"
Love Mary so? Love Mary so?
"Why does the lamb love Mary so?"
The eager children cry

"Why, Mary loves the lamb, you know."
Loves the lamb, you know, loves the lamb, you know
"Why, Mary loves the lamb, you know."
The teacher did reply

Abilities: Mary has a naturally sweet disposition. She attracts people to her with a wonderful sense of charm, and an unnatural ability to convince people to do as she asks, though she usues this skill only for good.

Mary now: Mary has taken over for Mother Goose, and is now trying to fix what the evil little sprites have done in Fairy-Tale Land.

Messages in RED affect everyone.
Messages in Blue affect only those in the immediate area, and are the actions of NPCs.

((Just a heads up, it's spelled Fairy tale. tail is the type of tail on an animeal, and tale is what you call a story.))
((LMAO. I can't believe I did that, especially with the number of times i have corrected others on the same thing. Thanks so much!!))
As she paced back and forth in front of the throne-like seat in her main hall, Mary was talking with the poor little lamb whose legs were getting rather tired from trying to keep up with her. "What am I going to do? They're going mad out there, and I can't take care of it all myself. Mother Goose should have never left me with this job so quickly. Those Sprites are running amuck!" Finally realizing that she was tiring her friend out, she sat down in the throne, sighing as she looked down at the Guards on either side of the entrance into the main hall. "Mother Goose said I should never turn to the Humans, to leave them out of everything, but I fear I have no choice. They're going to realize something is wrong anyway, when their stories start sounding all wrong."
Calcifer had been told that if anything went wrong and it had to do with fairy tale creatures to go see mother goose. After a few weeks travel he had arrived a mother goose's hoem. He would get to the bottom of what was going on and try and set thing right. He walked up to the doors of mother goose's home and knocked on them.
As he knocked, Calcifer heard a light gasp and chuckle nearby, the sound high-pitched, as if from some sort of fairy. "Humans...she really got the humans to come. We must report." With that, the sound was gone and the double doors which led into Mother Goose's home began to open, two Penguins with short little swords at their side and shining armor, which was tailored to fit their odd form, making it clear that they were Guards of some sort. "Are you here to see Mary?" asked the one to the right. "He's a Human, of course he's here to see Mary," piped the other. "Please, follow the duck," said the first. With that, a brightly colored duck (think of a mallard(sp)), standing about two feet tall and wearing a black tuxedo, waddled into the main hall. "Mary is right this way," he quacked, waddling down a short hallway under the set of double stairs which led off to the left and right of the Entry Hall. When he reached the end of the hall, two more Penguin Guards could be seen in front of another set of double doors. They pulled them open to reveal a long, wide open room, a Throne-like seat at the far end, a long table leading up to it with many chairs on either side. In the throne, a red-haired figure could be seen, a dusky colored lamb at her side. The inside of the doors were guarded by much taller guards, their form much like that of Centaurs, long glaives in their hands. They bowed their heads as Calcifer stepped into the room, pointing towards the throne. "Mary can see you now, Lord Calcifer."
Calcifer walked until he was a few feet from where the person they had called Mary was sitting. He looked up at the young woman "So where's mother goose?" With that calcifer crossed his arms in front of his chest and waited for her response. There was something odd about this Mary person; it was as if he knew her somehow.
"Oh! Lord Calcifer!" Mary jumped from her seat, a bright smile on her face. "I'm so glad you're here." Glancing at the lamb, she continued to smile as she spoke to him. "Baaby ('Bobby'), he's a Human. I told you they'd notice!" She then turned back to Calcilfer and a light blush filled her cheeks. "You haven't heard? Oh, I guess you wouldn't, seeing how the books still say she's running everything. Mother Goose retired. I'm Mary, from the nursery rhyme. I've taken over for her. But, see, things have gone terribly wrong, as I'm sure you know. The Sprites, those evil little fairy-like things...they've ruined everything."
From there, Mary continued to explain everything that had happened, filling him in on what she knew of the beings that had been affected, and that she was sure there were plenty she did not know about yet. She also explained that normal weapons would not harm the Sprites, that they had to be enchanted. Noticing the blade at his side, she called in a small fairy who proceeded to enchant it with the spells it would need. She explained that she could also give him a ring to bring him back to her home anytime he needed to return, and a book that would help him to know how the beings he met were supposed to be acting.
"So, will you help us, Lord Calcifer? I would never ask for your help except...I really don't know what else to do."
After hearing all she had to saw, Calcifer thought for a moment. "Two things, 1) stop calling me lord Calcifer, if anything call me Cal. And 2) I will help you out Madame Mary." He went down to one knee. "I will use all my strength and ability's available to stop the sprite's and restore order to the fairy tale world, this oath I take on this sword which I forged myself for what I now see as this cause." He rose up and looked at Mary for her response.
"I'm terribly sorry," she said, blushing a little. "It's just, you're the first person from the Human world that I have met. Anyway, thank you so very much. With your help, and the help of any others who believe in restoring things to the way they should be, I know we can figure this out and get the Sprites to stop causing so much trouble." Stepping over to the long table, Mary picked up a small, silver bracelet and a pocket-sized book. She handed these both to Calcifer with a nod. "The book is small right now, but all you have to say is Duck, duck, Goose and it will grow to its normal size so you can look up any beings you meet that you may not have heard of before. And it's the same thing to shrink it again. Make sure you don't lose the bracelet. I can only imagine what would happen if the Sprites got in here!"
Calcifer put on the bracelet and put he book in a bag that he had on his back. Bowed and turned to leave when an idea hit him. He turned and looked at Mary, "Hey Mary, haqve you ever thought of calling all the fairy tale charaters that have not changed and have them help you set thing right? If not you may want to do so." An with that he left and went on his way.
Turning to the lamb at her side, Mary raised her eyebrows a little and smiled. "I guess I hadn't really thought of that. With the number of them that have been affected, I didn't really think about the fact that some of them might be okay. Baaby, we've got a smart Human on our side." Mary made her way out one of the side doors in the large room, walking up a couple flights of stairs and stepping through rooms until she stood in front of a large, crystal ball. She tapped it a couple times and then began to speak, knowing all the beings who had not yet been affected would hear her. "The land of Fairy Tales is in danger, my friends I'm sure you've noticed some of your friends acting rather strangely as of late. The Sprites have gotten free again and they're wreaking havoc. I need help. All of you who are not yet affected, please meet me at the Goose House as soon as possible."

As Calcifer stepped out of the large house, he could hear Mary's voice in his mind, calling all the beings who had not yet been affected. Nearby, he could hear another series of giggles and a bright purple light streaked off to his left, the sound of small wings fluttering in the same direction. His blade began to glow a pale blue, fading as the purple light got further away.
