Welcome to Gaia! ::

Glad I bookmarked this smile

Seems that in the new layout, Safari displays a big chunk of the top bar in a different colour blue. Looks weird sweatdrop
http://gino.gaiaonline.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2712897 - thread I made with some screen caps of Gaia on Mozilla, and there's one with IE.

Computer seems to be handling Gaia a lot better now.. though all the glitches appear.. bleh.

If you want to use the images, I can give you the URL's.. doesn't bother me if you direct link.
Bump! Yeah, this thread is getting rusty.
Wow, I just found this.. and it seems I did so a few months late. sweatdrop I didn't get any events for the first month and a half, but of course yesterday I got three. blaugh I have OS 9.something and use IE 5. I have figure out that you can make new avvys and that you can use the bank. To make new avvys and/or remake yours you simply use the buttons to make it as you like, then highlight a link in the upper portion of the screen and tab down to the required fields. It takes a little geuss work and prior knowledge, but it can be done. For the bank, hit spacebar and then move the mouse over the new trade button. Of course, it then brings the page back up. Without moving the mouse hit space again and click. I do this all the time and have little trouble with it anymore. I hope that I have helped and thank you for this great resource. 3nodding
Oh thank god! I have Internet Explorer on a Mac OSX, and every time I go and try to sell something or change my avatar, I can't! I thought it was just my computer, but I'm glad to know it's all Mac users.

I'm on OS 9.2 .. and I find that Mozilla works wonders. I can do all the things I could do on a pc, though some of the images show up funny. I get events.. *none lately crying * but all else works fine.

I can't believe you're strong enough to use IE on Gaia. I got so frustrated I actually put my G3 into the garbage.

Though, it's worked perfectly ever since. biggrin

This has answered a lot of my concerns 3nodding And for the record, I've received all of the events using the latest version of Safari.
I've chosen to kind of stop updating the notations of people who have gotten events on Macintosh browsers. It's a lot of work, and I think people get the point now of how to get events on Gaia when using a Macintosh.

Sorry this thread has gotten so dusty. It's useful, I just don't know how to properly use it, I guess! whee
WINDOWS: RG Freaking halarious. This was totally my first and only PC.
Hey, I'm on an OS 10 here, and I'm seeing a glitch I dunno if you guys reported. The little sub bar, the blue one below the purple one with the links to the profile, map, forums and mail, is about three or four inches down from where it should be. I'm on Internet Explorer, and a laptop, if that means anything. I'm a home grown Windows guy, and I've just gotten on Macs (Got tired of windows Crashing. >.< wink so sorry if I seem like a n00b....
Just now noticed this topic, thanks for putting it up! I use Mozilla Firefox and OS 10.3, and that combination seems to work well. I have gotten some random events, too. Anyway, cheers to the Mac users! ^.^
using 10.2.8 and Firefox 1.0

i can see the "alt" text when a place my mouse over a link.
i've recieved a floating pink letter just fine. when i clicked on it, firefox blocked the popup but i've since allowed Gaia to give me popups.

Bump surprised
excellent guide! now i know that my browser works. i simply have very bad luck at finding events. sweatdrop
