Has anyone here seen this strange, yet amusing movie? I just watched it saturday at an Anime Convention and rather enjoyed it. It was pretty funny, and left me thinking, "WHAT THE HELL?!" through out it. If a movie can make me question if I took drugs prior to watching the movie at the first scene, then it's good to me.

This strange japanese muscial has left an impression on me. Enough so, I'm going to purchase it sometime soon. It's really hard to describe this weird film, it's like a cross of the sound of music with various other genres of films.


I still love this scene the best of the movie. The way the family reacted to the corspe in that room... the jump to a musical scene right then was great. It made me laugh at least.

I will never get over the claymation scenes. The way they changed from real life to claymation in the middle of it was funny. The entire viewing room I was in was laughing throughout them.

So have you seen it? What are your thoughts and if you haven't seen it yet. Go buy it Now. Trust me, it's worth it.

I was so confused during the whole thing. But at the end of it, I too just couldn't stop thinking about it. The movie stayed with me and I must own it!

The Happiness of the Katakuris was a very original, funny and interesting film. Whilst it may be confusing to some, I really enjoyed it.

I love a lot of Miike's movies. I love the movie that Happiness... was based on. But I only kinda like this movie. go figure.

It's a korean movie called The Quiet Family. It's not as weird as Happiness, but it works really well as a dark comedy.
