02/02/06: The Lineart Editor contest closed, we've got four new staff members, and the customs post has recieved an overhaul.
12/22/05: All of the Deck of Cards pets have been autoed 4 days before the auction would have ended... o_o;; And we've ordered 5 new species' worth of lineart. ninja

12/18/05: SS orders are closed as of today. They were a much bigger success than expected, and thanks to everyone who participated. : 3nod: They will be opening on Christmas Eve. And, we've opened the Deck of Cards auction.
11/26/05: The Angelic and Nitemare fox auction finished, and SS's are open.
11/18/05: The Angelic and Nitemare Fox auction has been opened. ... And that last chicken still hasn't sold. xD And we are vigorously planning Secret Santas. : ninja:
11/10/05: We have a flatsale planned for Tuesday, Nov. 15th, in which we will be releasing the dogs. And breeding is officially open!
11/2/05: The Halloween event has been finished, and we've got a new colorist. Yay for Kagome! xD Breeding will hopefully be getting off the ground within the next few days.

10/11/05: The dragon auction has ended, we're planning some sort of Halloween event that will include an auction, and we purchased some new lineart that will be included in the Eastern Breeds post soon. : ninja:

How can I get one of these things?
Check the News section in the first post, or the thread title, to see if there's a flatsale, auction, raffle, or event coming up.
Do you do pet trades?
We really like pet trades, actually. xD Check out the 5th post for more information on those.
How much do they cost?
Flatsales will be 3k. Prices for other things will vary.
So, why did that person get one for free?
It might have been through a pet trade, or maybe they had won a free custom ticket from some event. Or maybe we just like them. gonk We reserve the right to give a free BoB to anyone we want to.
Are they RP-required?
Nope, definitely not. We ourselves don't RP, so we can hardly expect you to. xD Feel free to RP if you'd like to, though. There may be RP rewards sometime in the future.
I'm not going to be around for the flatsale. Could I reserve a bowl?
Nope, sorry. You could ask a friend to try for one for you, though.
How many can I own?
As many as you want. :3
Can I direct-link my image?
Yes, direct-link until your BoB reaches adulthood. Then save to your own server.
(This is subject to change if we run out of bandwidth. gonk )
Can they be co-owned?
Sure. Maximum of two people per pet, though. And the cert may look a little odd, because it probably won't fit right. xD
Are you hiring?
As of now, no, we are not hiring. And probably won't be.
Can I be a guest colorist, then?
Probably! xD PM this account with a sample or two of your coloring, and if we like it, we'll most likely get you to do a guest coloring.
I have a question that's not here. What do I do?

The Eastern Soups grow more quickly than their Western counterparts, and so they only have four stages.
Bowl (About 3 days) -> Egg (1 Week) -> Child (2 weeks) -> Adult (Forever?)

Like the Western soups, these soups are rated from 1-5 according to rarity, 1 = rarest, 5 = common.

Hitsuji - 4 (Not yet released)

:: The Hitsuji are the first of the "Egg Drop Soup Breed" to be fully discovered by the researchers. As the first of its kind, not much is truly known about them, though we do know that they enjoy large groups of their own kind. There is one thing known about the Hitsuji, they just love to be petted...Though I'd wait until they aren't hot... ::

Ryuujin - 0 (Legendary) (Not yet released)

:: The Ryuujin (meaning Dragon God or Dragon King) are yet another new type of Eastern Breed, however they were created by the gene splicing between the Hitsuji and Western Breed Dragons. The result was an elegant looking giant beast. Much to our surprise these fearful looking creatures are quite kind to humans and other animals. These gentle rulers are quite rare to come by and if you befriend one you'll have a great ally for all your days. ::

We are all pretty willing to do pet trades, as long as we like the pets, and we're not -that- picky. Nevertheless, if we turn you down, try not to take it personally. sweatdrop If your pet is not on the list, that doesn't mean we won't accept it, these are just pets we'd -really- like to have.
Also, we'll match whatever you're offering. Pre-made for pre-made, custom for custom, etc. (Unless we REALLY want your pet. In which case, we'd probably be willing to trade one of our customs for one of your premades, or even multiple BoB's for just one of your pets. xD)

Note: If your pet is of the human-like variety, I'd advise offering the trade to Tatsu or Kagome, not Kita, because Kita isn't really into those kinds of pets. xD)

Customs are the slightly more expensive option, but they ensure that you get exactly what you want. A tailor-made BoB.

How to order a custom:
Step 1: Check to see if there are any slots available.
Step 2: If there are, post in the thread saying that you would like to claim a slot, and state the person whose slot you are claiming.
Step 3: After one of the staff members (it doesn't have to be the person whose slot you are claiming) posts that you have the slot, fill out the custom form and PM it to the person whose slot you claimed.
Step 4: Choose the package you want.
Step 5: Fill out the form with the correct information that matches the package you chose. Do not fill out parts that don't apply to your package.
Step 6: PM the form to your chosen colorist.
Step 7: Send the trade for the correct amount at the same time you send the PM. Your trade will be confirmed once your pet is finished.
Step 8: Wait. The staff members do have lives. However, if it takes longer than a week, you may stop by and politely ask why(This doesn't apply to cosplays, which generally take a while).

Custom packages:

Package #1:
Simple to medium difficulty custom coloring. You pick three colors and a pattern. No lineart edits.
Prices:
Chickens, Cows, Cats, and Dogs: 6k
Foxes and Dragons: 8k
Hitsuji: 9k
Ryuujin: 20k

Package #2:
Custom coloring of any level of difficulty. You pick unlimited colors and as complicated a pattern as you wish. No lineart edits.
Prices:
Chickens, Cows, Cats, and Dogs: 8k
Foxes and Dragons: 10k
Hitsuji: 11k
Ryuujin: 30k

Package #3:
One stage custom coloring with some lineart edits. You pick unlimited colors, as complicated a pattern as you wish, the stage you want it to be, and some lineart edits. (This allows you to get things such as wings, clothing, etc.) No cosplays.

Chickens, Cows, Cats, and Dogs: 35k
Foxes and Dragons: 37k
Hitsuji: 45k
Ryuujin: 60k

Package #4:
Custom coloring and lineart edits for all stages. You pick unlimited colors, as complicated a pattern as you wish, and some lineart edits. No cosplays.

Foxes and Dragons: 52k
Hitsuji: 60k
Ryuujin: 75k

Package #5:
One stage cosplay. You pick the character, anything you want just so, and the stage you want it to be in. Ref pictures are a must.

The only package for which a free custom ticket is redeemable for is package #1. Also, you may not pick a Ryuujin as the species. Any other species may be chosen. Redeeming a free custom ticket fills up one of the custom slots, so if they are full, you will have to wait to redeem your ticket. You are also allowed to pick which colorist you would like to color your custom. 3nodding

Note: The color and species on your ticket does not mean anything in regards to which species you can get. xD

So, you've got two BoB's that want to procreate? This is the place. xD The two do not have to have RPed together or anything like that.
BoB's produce 2-3 bowls in each breeding, and can breed as many times as you want, but there must be a one month interval between breedings.

Who can breed?
Any adult pairing! That means male x female, female x female, or male x male. We have overcome simple Biology. Through... Science! Yes, science. ninja
Note: A pet that is in teen stage, but will no longer be growing for any reason, will be allowed to breed. This only applies to teen stage, though.
Can two pets from different species breed?
Sure can. They'll just be garunteed to have only 2 offspring, one of each species.
What can we do with the babies?
You may keep them, give them away, or give them back to the shop to be sold in a flatsale/auction/raffle/etc. You'll be given 75% of the profit from this.
Will the offspring retain any markings, lineart edits, etc, from the parents?
Lineart edits will not be retained. Half because it would be more difficult and half because the pets with lineart edits are supposed to be special. gonk The offspring may have markings/colors somewhat resembling one or both parent, or the markings/colors may be completely random.

Costs:
The cost of breeding depends on the rarity of the species.
Chickens and Cows: 7k
Cats and Dogs: 8k
Foxes: 9k
Dragons: 10k
Hitsuji: 8k
Ryuujin: 15k

Half of the breeding fee can be payed by each owner, or it can be paid entirely by one owner (this would obviously be the case if the same person owned both pets).

Various items that you can buy for your BoB. Right now, we've just got berries that affect their growth/breeding available, but eventually there will be equippable items.
To order an item, post in the thread which item you are ordering and which pet it's for, then send the trade to the mule.

Berries

(Berries will be displayed on the pet's cert at half the size shown here).

Stop Growth Berry: 1k
Halts the growth of your pet.

Used to re-start the growth of a pet who has been given a Stop Growth Berry.

Reverses the growth of your pet by one stage (for example, turns an adult into a teen).

Can be purchased any time, but only used for one breeding (A pet could be holding the berry for a while, and whenever it breeds, it will take effect and then disappear from the cert).

Roleplaying is certainly not required, but if you wish to roleplay, you may do it here in the thread. There are currently no special rewards and such for roleplaying, but if you roleplay, your BoB might just grow faster. ninja
