Smoke
AKA: The Gunsmoke Girl, Sarah K. Strouss
Age: 25
Species: Human
The woman known simply as "Smoke" is a bit of a mystery. She's very fun-loving and a bit silly at times... a strange parallel to her Fa'e charge's serious, adult-like attitude. At times it seems more like Morion is the Guardian and Smoke the wily and irresponsible teen. She likes loud music, spicy food, comic books, and collecting rare and unusual pets. She has no significant other.
Despite her easygoing nature, Smoke occassionally suffers from bouts of deep depression. She is usually unwilling to talk about her past, and as such, very few people know what sort of life she lead before coming to Gaia. However, she doesn't hide the fact that she's very good with a gun and seems to enjoy getting into trouble.
Note: In late May, Smoke disappeared after an arguement with Morion and was gone for several weeks. During which time, investigators believe she was being followed by a man known only as "Weasel." Toward the end of June, Smoke and Weasel were involved in a shootout on the streets of Durem. Both were killed. Whether Smoke's spirit will find its way back to Gaia remains to be seen.

Sir Orion
AKA: Ori
Age: Two months old
Species: Kiri
Ori came to Morion by way of Smoke's good friend, Mousekinn. He is one of the mama-kiri Thalia's babies. Morion found himself very attached to the kiri blossom even before Ori was born -- he wore it in a handkerchief around his neck for several months. Due to his blue color and sky-like pattern, Morion dubbed him "Sir Orion."
Ori is very energetic, as any good kiri should be, and he will gorge himself on cookies at any available opportunity. He can almost always be found napping beneath Morion's collar. He considers Morion to be HIS dragon, and he will defend him fearlessly... even though he's only a few inches tall.

Charlotte
AKA: "Trouble"
Age: One month old
Species: Kitsusagi
Charlotte is one of the offspring of Kamiki's kitsusagi, Corbin. Like her father was at her age, she's exceedingly bouncy and hyper. She's a bit jealous of Ori, who was close to Morion before she was born, and takes every opportunity to scare the daylights out of the little kiri. It's not
entirely her fault... she just has this natural tendency to pounce on things...
Charlotte often acts as a messenger for Morion, delivering notes or gifts to the other Fa'e's homes. Since Smoke's death, she's become very attached to her dragon.

Though Morion tries to stay on friendly terms with all the Fa'e, there are a few that he is more closely tied to...
Raeith
Though Morion did not meet Raeith until he was a teen and she was a kid, the two have bonded quickly. Raeith has a peaceful, calming way about her which never fails to soothe Morion if he's distraught. Morion will open himself to Raeith more quickly than he will to many others, and he's come to think of her as a sister. Since his Guardian's death, he is staying in the guest room of Mouse and Raeith's home.
PurrPurr
Purrpurr was a childhood friend of Morion's, and the two of them have been through a lot together. After they both grew to teens their feelings toward one another became more clear, and they are now very much in love. As a child Morion took an oath to protect Purrpurr from harm, and he tries his best to always fulfill this promise -- though during his Guardian's disappearance he feels that he failed Purrpurr by not being at her side when she needed him most. Secretly, Morion feels very unworthy of her attentions.
Mordath
Mordath was the first close friend that Morion made as a toddler. He was instantly drawn to Mordath's intellect and desire for knowledge. The two of them have learned a great deal about the themselves -- and about the Fa'e as a whole -- but growing up seems to have brought some distance between them. Regardless, Morion still considers Mordath as his oathbrother and misses the time they used to spend together...
Dawna
Dawna and Morion have been close since childhood, and Morion has always experienced a lot of mixed feelings when it comes to his dear songbird friend. Though Morion would never admit it for fear of greatly complicating things with Purrpurr and hurting Dawna even more, he does love her. Regardless of the difficult situation, he tries to be a source of comfort for Dawna whenever possible, and wants nothing more than to see her truly happy.
Taka
Morion is Taka's "foot-buddy." Even though Taka has jumped on, drooled on, and teased Morion since childhood, Morion is rather fond of him. They often act like brothers when they're together.
Aylana
Morion has been curious about the four-winged Fa'e since he saw her as an infant. Now that they are older, they very much have a brother/sister relationship, and are often swapping letters with each other when they can't be together. As of late, Morion has been worrying for Aylana a lot more than usual.
Nyoka
Nyoka has always been held in high regard in Morion's eyes, as she was exceedingly intelligent as a child and has grown up to be both wise and deadly. Nyoka often understands how Morion is feeling; the two seem to share common views on many things.
Silver
Morion has always been protective of the wolf Fa'e, and vice-versa. They haven't talked much since a certain incident involving Dawna and have seemed to grow apart during their teen years, though they are still friends. Morion would race to his side if he knew that Silver was in trouble.
Sati
As a baby, Sati enjoyed teething on Morion's tail... something that still amuses Morion to this day. Morion hasn't had a chance to talk to Sati in a while, but still considers her a friend.
