For two years now I have waited anticipating my birthday; the gifts I would get, my cake, and those phone calls. Then, I realized that one of the main social areas of my night-time doesn’t even recognize my birthday. That my friends is about to change.

I think that Gaia should have a gift box for your birthday. It is a way to celebrate another year passing both in your life and the overall life of this forum. I believe that we should be given this gift, not so that we can resell it, but so that Gaia shows us that they do appreciate the users, not just the donators, but us users and the valuable time we spend on Gaia.

On the day indicated by the “birthday box” on the user’s profile, they will receive a gift box (with either a random item (similar to the other gift box types) or a item for that year; the Gaia staff has that at their discretion). This box will be able to be opened on the day it is received. To ensure that the user would not change their birthday just so they could get many items and/or get items sooner, the same system that processes the gift giving would also be programmed with the memory that the first birthday entered (for new members) or the current (at the start of this system) birthday entered (for current users) will be the birthday used for the gift giving.

Amendments to this rule will be added as I see fit, however they will not be major (will probably be conditional changes)

The rules of this petition are as follows

3) No flaming
4) Respect me and any other members I happen to acquire
