ANNOUNCEMENT

Just something to keep in mind of for everyone.

Have a question? Need Help? Who should I ask???

Here's a break down of possible questions and who you should go to to seek help:

Any application related things: Chrystali

questions include: can you look over my application and give critiques? Can you approve my application? I'm not sure what kind of talents my student should have, any sugeestions? etc etc etc.

Any CRP related things: Soutou or Slanndalous

Questions include: I need a partner for my CRP! I'm confused about CRP procedures, the class I need doesn't have a prompt there, what are the specifications and limitations I should follow when doing CRPs? etc etc etc.

Any QRP related things: perspective NPC players

Questions include: I'm not sure how to do this QRP, I lost my QRP prompt, etc etc.

Any storyline/art/anything else that doesn't belong to the above categories: Tooaya

Questions include: What are my character's abilities if he's a minor race? What are the layouts in the student dorms? What's the difference between dragons and werepeople? What does the goddess Maya look like? etc etc.

Please follow the above guideline when you are seeking help. Do not pm one person for everything because she won't know what's going on outside of her category. For example: don't pm chrys for CRP related things. Chances are she's just as confused as you are, and she'll end up pming the correct staff for answer anyway. So let's save some trouble for her and for the rest of the staff, and save some precious time on your hands, okay?

12. 17. 06 Well, this is tragic, but I guess it cannot be helped.
Golden and Grey, one of the respected RP manager of this shop, had to quit his position because of real life issues and other, more important shops that he now own. We have settled this peacefully via pm, so this should not be affecting this shop too much. I sincerely wish GG best luck on his other shops, and hope that they will run well with less burden on GG now than before.
However, even if the effect is little, there is still some effect and changes. With GG's leave, the two NPCs, Ardanay and Javelin have lost their owner. For now, either me or kitty will take over the two's RPs, although I hope that some of you guys can help out the shop by applying for the RP manager position and take over the two NPCs for me. If you want to kindly do so, please pm this mule with your RP samples and how much are you going to be commited to the shop. I would rather hire someone who's not as literate than hiring someone who is not active.
With that said, to the rest of the managers: if there's something happening on Gaia or in your life that makes you feel you will not be as commited to the shop, please say so. You are free to leave here any time, because I simply cannot stop you if you want to leave...I'd rather see you leaving here and be less stressful than staying and be burdened with something you consider a task instead of something fun. I will run this shop all by myself if I have to.

A few pages from the textbook of a student. Only words ornament the pages and it’s almost as if one must squint to read the letters.

…and so it was that in the year 2006 A.D., humans located and contacted the first celestial being—what was formerly known as an alien. The beings gladly received the invitation of man and descended, incognito, to our planet in hopes to further kinship and a mutual brotherhood between the two races.

At least, that had been their understanding.

The problem was, these celestial beings were of such limited intellect that they could not comprehend that the rooms given to them were cages; that the diplomats and leaders they so wanted to talk to would never come; that the people who smiled and pointed and laughed outside the gl*** wanted not communion between the two, but entertainment.

One of these celestial beings, an alien named Sgird, called Sputnik by the humans (in a perverted parody of the first object in space), escaped. While he himself was not of particularly high intelligence himself, his thought process was good enough to ensure that one day he would rise to be a leader—a savior to his people and an abomination to the human race.
Sgird was intelligent enough to see that something was amiss and tried to call for reinforcements, only to find that his communicator had been disabled. Nothing that a few quick problems couldn’t fix, however, and by stealing the right tools he was able to make it fully functional once again.
He managed to release a few other aliens and, in an attempt to overthrow their oppression, were brutally murdered. Even the phasers that they had managed to steal back were no match for those procured by the humans, who had dis***embled the alien design and modified their own weapons, making them better. We shall cover this more in Chapter 4c.

Having heard the situation and distress call from their companions, the aliens touched down and demanded their release. When the humans declined to do so, they fired. It was with that first shot that the Earthian Wars were begun, of which this was the first battle. More information is available in Chapter 3 of this text.

The aliens were driven easily back, however, and retreated in shame; but unbeknown to the humans it was within fifty years of their time (approximately two human years) that a much stronger race of celestial beings reached out and, in turn, embraced this weaker race. Thanks to millions of years of development these beings were far more mentally, physically, and technologically advanced than the humans. They perhaps saw a younger kinship in this oppressed race and offered their brotherhood—in return, their beings would be granted a part of the Earth to reside on when the humans had been eliminated. The treaty was readily accepted by the smaller race.

It is only in contemporary times that we have come to find that the stronger aliens had no such ideas of “brotherhood” and “kinship”; they viewed the weaker race only as a shield for themselves, a way of thinning the human race before they invaded. We will discuss later on several other theories.

Whatever the reason, the humans were completely caught off guard by this new technology in the hands of their old enemy. Humans gathered to fight; but bit by bit, though they barely won a handful of wars, we were driven back into a small wooded area dedicated to the divinities, their numbers going shockingly from seven billion to just a few thousand. The particular colony in question was numbered a few hundred people.
The hideout was found out, however, and the aliens invaded. Certain victory was ensured.

But something curious happened when the last alien had taken a step into that forest; a great light came forth from the trees, the earth. It was a power comforting to the humans, washing over them and making them feel safe.

When the light receded, the aliens were no longer there; all that remained were piles of fine white ash that were carried away forever by the wind. This was the first instance of a goddess making itself known to mortals, although it would be some time before the truth of the matter came to light.

The group of humans had a small while to celebrate their “victory;” however, it soon became apparent, as reality set in, that this war was far from over. The celestial beings, they had concluded, could not have advanced that quickly. The only solution for their rapid advancement was a much more competent race. They were going to be back.
And the humans would have to be ready.

It was around this time that a small group of humans, many of them who had been leaders at one point, rediscovered the Elves. Once cast out during the Middle Ages when magic was thought to be “the Devil’s work,” this group of intellectuals saw the amazing potential in the subtle but powerful magic the Elves used in their everyday life.

After conversing with their new allies, the humans found that the Elves were not the only race; in fact, the small group they had come upon was only part of a greater population that had been sent out to recover five other races that had been sealed away by their respective Goddesses—just as they had been before the Goddess in the forest had been activated.

The year is now 2020. A great school of magic, founded by an Elf named Dante Araquenosse with the help of surrounding humans, was constructed in order to aid the revival of the respective races and awaken the Goddesses in preparation of the impending invasion. Thanks to the research of a young human, a cure for a biological disease carried by the celestial beings has been found, and with the addition of a science section to the school we come to the modern-day Shinkami School of Saviors, whose primary goal….

Above is a basic outline of how a character progresses.

Basic Level:

New Student
The fresh meat in ShinKami High. Their only task is to familiarize themselves with the school grounds and the way things are arranged.
Students in this stage wear casual cloths that will reflect upon their nationality, personality and possibly a hint of what they are going to become in the future.

Registered Student
A step up from the New Student. Their tasks include studying and learning all disciplines before they declare which area they intend to go into. There are two very general options at this point: magic and science.
Same cloth from the last stage will be wore. However, all registered students are required to wear the school badge at this point.

Regular Levels: Start from this level, the students are separated into two major sub-schools: the school of S&T and the school of Magic.

School of S&T (science and technology) includes the science division and the technology division, while the School of Magic includes the usage division and research division.
Students in this stage will have their set of uniform from their perspective schools, and will look older from last stage. Hairstyles also tend to change, and sometimes their built.

Advanced Level:
Students at this level will wear cloths that indicate their major. The students will look older than the previous two stages, and other slight changes will be made to reveal his personality, etc.

Divisions under School of S&T are further separated into offensive and defensive categories.

Offensive:

Pharmacist: Students who focus on the study of biological weapons and poison.
Soldier: Students who train their body physically in preparation in the battlefront. and study the creation of technological weapons.

Defensive:

Doctor: Students who focus on the healing aspect of medicines and ways to cure/prevent diseases.
Guardian: Students who design, using a combination of cyber network and techno engineering, security systems to defend against future alien invasions.
Divisions under School of Magic are listed below:

Under magic usage division:

Elemental: Students that focus on the study of the four natural elements (fire, water, wind, earth)
Light: Students that focus on the study of light magic
Dark: Students that focus on the study of Dark magic

Under magic research division:

Seeker: Students who research and seek out the magical creatures and races said to still inhabit this earth.
Analyst: Students who focus on transforming magic into a medium that is much easier for humans to use.

Professional Level:
This level can only be obtained through special events and plots. At this level they are no longer students, and are given different titles for their specialties. Clothing at this stage vary. However, clothing for magic majors will look more ancient while S&T major will look more futuristic.

For those who reach this stage from the school of magic, they will gain the ability to summon different Goddesses depending on their major.
For those who reach this stage from the school of S&T, they will have the opportunity to become a faculty in the school to train future students.

Norman Prinwaltz
Race: Human
Status: Headmaster
The leader of the International Head Organization for the Preservation of Humanity from the northern part of England. Very logical, organized, calculating, and analytical. Helpful and sympathetic, appears to be the oldest among the leaders. Enjoys green tea and homemade chocolate chip cookies.

Dante Araquenosse
Race: Elf
Status: Adviser
An Elven Mage among the ones awakened in the now-named Forest of Mana. Very intelligent, but lacks emotional expression and seems detached from the rest of the world. Is very helpful and adept at what he does. Owns three pet crows named Gilnuir, Gelnuir, and Glornuir, who habitually take to spooking the students and stealing their food.
*While it is noted that Dante was the one who conceptualized and helped Prinwaltz organize and found the institution, he himself took a lesser role by the Headmaster’s side. Why Professor Araquenosse chose to do this is a mystery.

Herei Fang
Race: Human
Status: Adviser
Representative from China who was elected for his superior ability of military tactics and control. Is usually seen as kind, gentle and extremely carefree. However, when it comes to teaching and administering the school he is considered a "devil" due to his strictness and extreme punishment against those who did anything wrong. Also has the strange hobby of cross-dressing.

Ardanay Veilwood
Race: Human
Status: Head Science Division
An administrator whose origins are as yet unknown. Seems to enjoy teaching and his pupils, but also appears to have self-loathing issues. Serious, but with a compassionate nature and a gentle smile. Enjoys flirting with Lorioth and growing things.

Greg Larine
Race: Human
Status: Offensive Secretary
An American professor who was also a bounty hunter. Tells hackneyed stories and ribald jokes in order to hide his own self-esteem issues. A very effective and somewhat strict teacher. Enjoys annoying Adviser Araquenosse.

Siona Hale
Race: Human
Status: Defensive Secretary
After a cripplingly rural childhood and a fairly distinguished and uneventful education,the entire world happened to Siona at once. Already sure of herself due to the way she was raised, her self-esteem went through the roof when she was finally managed to disprove the existence of the famed "multiple-personality disorder". After that, her star only seemed to continue to rise; it was like she could do no wrong in the field. Deciding that she had done all she wanted to do in her field, Siona decided to "retire". That got irritating pretty fast, though, and opportunities presented themselves- in the end, she decided to consider working at ShinKami.

Quentin Frumious Bandersnatch
Race: Demon
Status: Head Magic Division
Quentin is quite an unknown in education, this being his first year as a professor. Actually he seems quite the unknown in government assistance, but he has all the credentials stamped and signed, and encourages a bit of this anonymity. But he is a mature, well-grounded older man and devoted to his students as well as Shinkami's present and future goals.

Kyuu Shinji
Race: Unknown
Status: Magic Training Master
An Elven Guildmaster who gave up his former occupation to contribute magical education to ShinKami High. Appears to have a ruthless, cold-hearted streak when not talking, but is actually very introspective and animated when he seeks; apparently, his appearance and quietness bely the brilliant mind beneath. One of the strictest teachers. Seems very impatient to awaken the were-people for some reason…

Gideon Matthias Burdock
Race: Demon
Status: Head Research Professor
Gideon is an accomplished man, now in his mid-thirties, he is a triple major with a single minor. An environmentalist since his youth, Gideon was also groomed to take a place beside his father in their family company, a corporation that deals in the recovery of magical artifacts and/or persons, personal security, and stocks. With his love of nature, history, lore and close understanding of business practices and important social interactions, as well as his background in leadership, he is a reasonable candidate for a position at the school.

Kenth Larine
Race: Human
Status: School Doctor
The brilliant young doctor who is dispatched by the international health board to SSoS to help doctor Lorioth Manneth. Cold, calculating and extremely logical, Kenth is someone who takes work and his personal reputation as the most important. He dislikes the school board for giving him dangerous tasks, but is stubborn and too proud to reject the task itself. Hiding in his office most of the times, Kenth only makes his appearance whenever there is an emergency. Therefore, he is isolated from most of the teachers, and especially holds a deep grudge against General Greg Larine, who bizarrely shares the same last name...

The Goddesses

The ethereal beings that the humans stumbled upon in their forest colony, they serve to be the Earth’s only hope. While research has been done to see if BOTH genders can summon up Goddesses, they find that males offer the best hosts and make the clearest call for help…that, and a Goddess Seal can only be undone by a male….

Maya
The first Goddess to become unsealed, Goddess of Life and Forests and guardian Spirit to the Elves. Avatars of Maya have enhanced healing spell abilities. Located somewhere in the Amazonian Rain Forest. Awakened.

Athena
The Goddess of Light and Judgment, the guardian Goddess of the Angelic race. Avatars of Athena possess enhanced prayer and divine magic castings. Location unknown. Has yet to be awakened.

Luna
Goddess of Night and Keeper of Hell, the Guardian Goddess of the Demon Race. Avatars of Luna possess enhanced cursing and confusion power. Location unknown. Has yet to be awakened.

Hela
Goddess of Love and Knowledge, the guardian Goddess of the Were-people (werewolves, prydaens, mermaids, etc). Avatars of Hela temporarily are able to extend their own being into another’s mind to be able to extract and predict their movements. Location unknown. Has yet to be awakened.

Pandora
Goddess of Mystery and Power, the Guardian Goddess of the Dragons. Avatars of Pandora possess greater stealth skills and a higher stamina and strength. Location unknown. Has yet to be awakened.

The Races

Considered “impure” by the time the Middle Ages and the advent of so-called witchcraft, these beings were banished and/or slain upon sight. In grief, they sealed themselves and their Goddesses away into sleep, awaiting either the end of time or a time when humans are wiser. They will be awakened; but the question is, how will each react…?

Elves
The first to awaken and be found when the Goddess Maya was awoken. Ethereal, near-immortal creatures, they seem to be prone to both flights of fancy and cheer and sober, condescending wisdom. Nonetheless, they have chosen to aid the humans in their plight given that they are granted the freedom they once had. Have been awakened. Specialize in healing magic and earth magic.

Angels
These beings chose to seal themselves away, and were actually the earliest to do so, abhorred by the fact that innocent creatures were being killed in their name and the name of a “God” they serve. Angels, in fact, serve no particular god but rather a concept: justice. They do not refer to their Goddess as such, preferring to use either her name as one would a friend or companion or call her “the Guardian.” It is clear that they are most at ease and on a level standing with their Goddess. Have not yet been awakened. Specialize in light magic and holy magic.

Demons
There are relatively few of these creatures left, having been persecuted for most of their lives by humans who mistakenly thought them “Devil’s Creatures.” They themselves, in fact, were not Hell’s “minions;” rather, they chose that title and took it upon themselves, bearing the weight of sin so that people would see them and be afraid. Prejudice is something they are not unused to, for it is a life they have chosen. Have not yet been awakened. Specialize in curses and other arcane magics.

Were-people
Like the demons, there are relatively few of these people left; however, they did not choose their plight but rather had it thrust upon them. Werefolk are a funny breed, as some types are abhorred and others praised; but all grew so disgusted at the treatment of their kin that they chose to go into sleep, for werefolk are nothing without one another. Have not yet been awakened. Specialize in telepathy and empathy.

Dragons
Not mentioned in were-people because their race is much rarer, numbering only a few hundred. Mistakenly taken for demonic sprites and servants of hell, they reacted in bloodshed and rage when humans attempted to dominate them. The Eldest Wyrm sealed them away—this was the only race that did not go into hibernation by choice. The Eldest Wyrm later was killed when trying to defend themselves. ====== Please note that this shop is very RP intensive. It has a set major storyline that won't be able to progress unless intensive RPing occurs. I don't expect you to write huge paragraphs every time, but you must be at least semi-literate (decent grammar and correct punctuation) to be part of this shop. Also, the characters here are not pets and you are not their owner. They are essentially you on a cyber-fantasy earth and in an imaginary school. Call them pets and we will throw bombs at you. D:

Therefore, of course, RPing is essential to the growth of your characters. ALL RPs SHOULD OCCUR IN THE GUILD. In order for your character to grow, you should achieve the following basics:

-update your character journal at least once a month.
-Participate in interactive/storyline RPs. While there is no specific post count, students must at the very least understand what is going on.
-BE ACTIVE. Don’t forget to inform us both in the main thread and in the hiatus thread in the guild if you are going to be away!

Specific requirements of level-advancing are posted in the guild.

Sales will take place in 4 different forms and will always occur in a separate thread.

Premade Flatsale: This will be the most common type of flatsale.You are provided a preview of the student's lineart and you may choose the color scheme if you won. However, the shop staff we will have some control over the student's personality (simply because Toa feels the need to introduce more variety in the student body). You will be provided a keyword that relates to the student's personality or history, and you are to answer the prompt given according to this keyword. The keywords will vary greatly, and can be anything and everything. So you will still have plenty of freedom to develop the student if you won.

Premade students cost 15k.

Application Flatsale: Please note the NOT EVERY CAN ENTER THIS TYPE OF FLATSALE. In order to be eligible to enter the application flatsale, you must have an approved student concept in the Student Application Forum. Once your concept is approved, you are allowed to enter this kind of flatsale. Depending on the numbers of approved concepts, this type of flatsale is NOT ALWAYS PROMPT BASED. Chances are, we love your student already, that's why your concept is approved in the first place. So this type of Flatsale may come in as events, raffles, or even games/RPs.

You may not enter an application FS if you do not have an approved concept. If you do have an approved concept, however, you are more than welcome to also try out for the premade FS.

Application students cost 20k.

Auction: This is the only form of sale where you are able to get a completely customized character from this shop. In fact, all auctions are custom. Characters can be in any stage other than professional level. Auction SB will always be 50k. Anyone is allowed to bid. However, you must be aware that you absolutely have to be active and can RP well if you have won a student in the auction.

Event: This kind of sale will most likely occur during holidays. Various events will occur and the price for the winners will be a character similar to the two flatsales.

A12: Unfortunately, because Toa-chan is a party pooper technology is not advanced yet, there shall be no Mpreg. BUT! Breeding may occur in the far far far future if the story gets advanced enough! But for now, don't worry about. XP

Q14: Okay, on to the more serious stuff. Are these RP required?
A14: ...yes, yes they are. Your characters won't grow without RPing.

Q15:How many can you own?
A15:Unless you are someone with no life and stays in the guild 24 hours a day, the recommended number is one.

Q16:Are thread events mandatory? If students cannot be present, are they allowed to make a solo journal entry? If so, does it have to be more detailed/longer because they could not be present at NPC event?
A16:Thread events be consisted sales and holiday events. Therefore, they are not RP related and will not require the students to participate. In-guild RP related events and quests, however, will require student participation. If the students are not present, they do not need to make up a journal entry for it. However, this means that they will less likely to grow as fast as the others.

Q17:Is there a time limit to fulfill growth requirements? Do students have to wait a certain amount of time before becoming eligible for growth? (i.e. you have to be a new student for 3 weeks, etc) Is there a form to follow for growth requests?
A17:Time limits usually last as long as the quest/exam events last. Final exams/quests do not usually have a time limit, however.
It is recommended for the player to complete his quests as soon as he/she can. We are fine with this as long as the players provide us with some sort of progress report on how they are doing with their progress.

Q18:Do students get assigned dorms and roommates? How does that affect them?
A18:Students will have a choice as to whom they room with, as long as it is within division limits (e.g. a science student may not room with a magic student.) If there is no preference, dorm rooms will be assigned at random.

Q19:Will students have NPC 'class' assignments/homework? Do they get special things for completing that? There will be quests that are similar to assignments and homework?
A19:Students can level up, change their major, and even trigger plot changes. Look in the guild for more details. :3

Q20:I asked a lot of questions...you won't hurt me if I ask more? ._.b
A20: Why would I do that? O_o Ask away!! The questions help us to improve this shop ^^
