That was until they were discovered by today's people. A strange earthquake shook the entire earth opening a rift between the two worlds, opening their habitats to each other. Those that happened to fall through winded up finding one of these lovely creatures and finding that they couldn't return without a spookies' help in some way. A select few found themselves more attached to the Spooky and came to be protective of their race.
A disease hit their race making it hard for the Spookies to live and survive. Those that wished to thank the spookies took the non-infected infants to their world to protect them until the disease disappeared from their planet. Antanta had many changes to undergo. Those spookies that were trademarked into certain areas such as the forests had to learn to live and adapt though they held special skills. Many didn't know of their skills except for their high intelligence and ability to talk.
The people that took the spookies into their homeland of gaia found themselves rather startled at the results of raising these young rambunctious creatures. Fires would sometimes occur, icicles could be found in the middle of the summer on the homes that contained the Spookies. It was because at birth they began to develop abilities and strengths that would later help them and their adoptive parents when they were in danger.
This posed as a problem causing many to worry how to give them away to good parents when they would scare some potential parents. As a form of seeing who would accept them and love the cat-like creatures who had intelligence one person stepped up to the job. Her name was Shisha, a young but well learned young woman who was one of the first to find the Spookies. Loved by nearly everyone she was their gaurdian and so watched over the eggs that were given to her and sought out good parents for them.
When full grown they could return to thier home as the disease would pass away but as they grew the Spookies and thier owners came to be connected in an unique bonding. A pattern developed over time and though there were still some wild spookies in the land of Antanta there are those who grow up in the world of Gaia and were given to good parents or adopted again by their parent's partners to join the family in essence.
