It's simple, really. Post in the thread, become a regular, and you'll get yourself a Nieken. It might take a while, but it's the fastest (nah, they're equally slow) and cheapest way. Of course we have conventional ways, how else would Seif get money?

-Nieken communicate telepathically, because they know how much it annoys you.
-Nieken are highly talented at swimming, hence fins and blobbly paws.
-A way to stab anything other than oneself with Nieken horns is unknown, therefore they are mainly used as a helmet of sorts when the Nieken are being stupid. n_n;;
-Nieken live to make your life difficult whilst simultaneously being cute as a button.

Behavior
The inanimate stage. However, eggs have, in the past, rolled about, fled the thread, and even gone so far as to toss themselves at a certain easily frightened person whose name starts with an "S" and ends with an "eifereru"--all quite inexplicably. Any explanation for this is not yet known, however, it is safe to assume that this is connected with the natural Nieken desire to disregard the rule. Yes, that includes natural law. Bah, rebels.

Physical
Nieken eggs tend to be a bit wobbly-shaped, mainly because Nieken are just...weird 'lil buggers like that. They are perfectly shiny, though. This can be attributed to Seif waxing them all before sale, because shiny=customers. 3nodding Now make a (big) "C" with one hand. Done? Good. That's how big an egg is. </poor>

Inside the egg is, sadly, nowhere near as shiny. It's...not pretty. You've got the tiny Niekeling,, and a whole bunch of goo...but what's important is that this unappealing goo superheats when the egg's ready and it's touched by the owner. Hence, a rather dangerous explosion, producing an inconvinient pea-soup fog. The shell thins as time goes on, so, eventually, Seif's going to crack the darned thing herself or you get to experience the miracle of life yourself. razz

Behavior
At this stage, your Nieken is a confused lil devil. Take advantage while you can! Nieken tend to wander around and utter a confused, "Meeru?" or "Eru?" frequent, especially when confronted by "OMFGITHATCHED!" owner behavior. ;3 Your devoted follower, they aren't really...terribly bright just yet. XD;;

Physical
Horns are tiny nubs, there are no signs of fin appearance yet, but damn, those ears...those ears are already humongous. Apart from that, you now have a pudgy blobby thing! Congrats!
Well, other that those ickle Niekesounds, no speech is possible.

Now go pick up a basketball. No--wait--that one, over there. By the fish tank. No, the other. Mmmkay, got it? Don't be dropping it now. That is the size of your Nieken. XD;;

B E T A / M I D
Behavior
You begin to wonder why you ever wanted a Nieken. A Nieken has finally wisened up a bit by this stage--it can give you dirty looks now! Huzzah! A Nieken gets a bit more adventurous and doubting at about this time, but they can still be tricked with relative ease.

Physical
Fins starts to sprout at this stage, and horns become long, straight, and most importantly, quite dangerous whilst rolling about. Limited speech is possible. Other than that, they're just a bit larg--WAIT. I mean, um...grab one of those reallybigbutnottoobig fans. Theeere's your Nieken. XD;; *bricked*

A L P H A / A D U L T
Behavior
Pick up your average human teenager. There's your personality, except smarter and probably more arrogant.

Physical
Now pick up a small deer. Need I say more? Full use of telepathic communication skills.

Persona: Euram is the essence of gushy, insincere foppiness, complete with exaggerated, swoopy grandiose gestures and cliched flattery. What more could you ask for? (more screentime!) Well, I suppose I wish he looked less like Ed. :< Or rather, that Ed looked less like him! 8D

Bio: Euram is the son of the leader of a political faction, and first appears in a scene wherein he puts in a great, rehearsed show of affection for the princess.

It goes a little like this.

"Fair princess, do you remember me by chance? You do remember me! My, my, I am truly the happiest man alive! And I too, have never once, not for one day--no, not for one moment forgotten how you looked! Oh, Princess, you are like a precious gem high in the heavens that one such as I could never hope to reach!"

Sadly, when he moves to kiss her hand (only her father and brother can touch her!), he is threatened and stopped...physically...by her bodyguard. How does the noble Euram respond to this?

"*gulp*"

Also,

"I'm s-s-so sorry! Her beauty must have dazzled me so that I lost my wits! Please, forgive me!"

Smooth.

"I, Euram Barows, will someday be the third man to touch you!"

Yeah. That too.

The princess is disgusted. I can't see why. ;P Nonetheless, Euram continues his speech of winning the princess' hand in the upcoming tournament. Her response?

Princess: Uh. Wow. You must be stronger than you look. Can you really, you know, swing a sword?

Euram: Ha ha ha! Her highness jests! A sword? Me? I'm no barbarian. We have found a mighty champion! He shall carve my way to your heart!

Princess: My heart's got no place for a wimp like you!

Euram: W-Wimp?! Wha-- You-- Your Royal Highness--

Ickle Euram. Anyway, when we meet him later on, he watches his gladiator beat the opponent in training. Cue smug speechage. Shortly after, his gladiator is disqualified and he throws a hissy fit. Fun. ^___^

Later in the game, he excitedly shows off a painting of the princess hanging on his wall and other such gestures. But what's this? The Barows family is actually trying to gain control of the Queendom? When the Prince overturns the Barows' plans (and also make Euram look a fool), Euram storms in to cry to his father,

"They'll rue the day they humiliated Euram Barows! Father! Use the Dawn Rune on them! crying "

Except the Prince and co. are kinda in the room at the time. Cue, "YOU'RE THE ONE WHO STOLE THE F'CKING DAWN RUNE?" Whoops. Cue disgrace of Barows family.

And that is why we loves the Euram.

"Vingerhut? Ahaha!" ~Seif upon hearing Snowe's last name

Persona: Subtly self-important--he just shows off a bit--and jealous and...aw, he just wants to fit in(to a position of power and influence XP).

Bio: The game opens with Snowe, being sorta highrankingish (only 'cause his dad's important! sound familiar?), doing some ceremonial "I'm important <3" torch-lighting ceremony. He lets the main character light 'em instead (a kinda sincere "see, I'm nice" gesture. Sweet, really.)

When all of the lil trainees, including the Hero and Snowe, are out sailing, they come under attack, and Snowe acts just as smoothly as Euram would.

*explosion rocks ship*

Shipguy: Uh, Captain? What do you want us to do?

Snowe: AHH. OMGWTFDOWEDO. WHADOWEDOWHADOWEDO?!

Shipguy: Captain?

Snowe: MYARM! *clutches arm* IDUNNOWHATTODO. ICAN'TMOVEMYARM! I'M INJURED! I'M GONNA DIE! crying

Shipguy: Yeaaaah. You gotta tell us what to do though. .__.;;

Snowe: Runaway! They're gonna kill us!

Snowe: Haah? FSCKTHIS. I'm going if y'all want to die here! ;__; *rows away on ickle boat, mysteriously able to row with both arms*

Main character: *snatches control!* *wins battle!*

Snowe (watching from his lil dinghy): *sob* Ah...we won? ;;

Cue disgrace of Snowe. Main character falls into everyone's favor instead. Naturally, Snowe's just a tiny bit irked at this, but he doesn't really show it until...well. The main character is the only one around when the Commander dies in a freak accident-ish thing (for the sake of writing). Snowe, however, happens to be secretly watching from a distance, and tells the sub-commander...

Snowe: OMGZ MAIN CHARACTER KILLED COMMANDER GLEN ;________;

Sub-Commander: SERIOUS? *exiles main character*

Main Character: WTFIDIDN'TDOIT. FRIGGIN SNOWE. DD:

Snowe: :<

And the main character goes off and does his thing. Meanwhile, Snowe becomes the governor(?) and sports spiffy aristocratic clothes the next time the MC sees him.

Unfortunately, the Vingerhut family kinda...sells their country out to the pirates and are forced to flee. Whoops.

Then pathetic lil Snowe goes and joins the pirates (sporting 1337 pirate gear next time we see him), only to have his fleet defeated by the main character and be scorned by the rest of the pirates anyway. At this point, you, as the main character, can either choose to set him free, or...behead him. ;____; *sniffl*

The next time you, as the main character see him (if you didn't behead him, that is) is when he is drifting in the middle of the ocean on a piece of driftwood in tattered clothes. Again, you can choose to behead him, or you can recruit him! Yay! Finally! However, his spirit is beaten into submission by then and he acts non-cowardishly. How boring. For the sake of pets, we shall RP him before this horrible transformation occurs. XP

But our beloved Snowe lurks still! The way to get him to change is outfits when you've recruited him is this: You talk to him. He asks you how he looks.

You have two choices--
"You look awesome n' brave like a dashin hero!" (and such)
or
"EW. UGLY."

IF you say the former, he's like, "Heh, yeah. I do, huh? ^__^" and if you choose the latter, he's like, "Wh-What? Is this any better? ;__;" *changes outfit*

And that is why we loves the Snowe so!
