Let’s start with an obvious statement.
This is a petition for eye makeup.
(I understand how this might seem obvious, but some people have posted in here multiple times asking what is up with this thread.)

And now we have what we want, to an extent. We do have a way to paint ink onto our faces and wear them as makeup.
Now that this system is in place, perhaps later we can have more eyeliner-style tattoos in the future.

However, no matter how it worked, having eyeliner at all would probably improve a lot of avatars. Some just look half-dressed without it.
As of the ides of February and April, the Dark Star and Magic Eyes donation items attempted to fill the eyeliner niche on gaia, but all it really did was prove that it could be done. I think I speak for most of the signers of this petition when I say we want more.
Don't get me wrong, I love these items, but eyeliner would make our avitars even better.

GUYS, PLEASE! Do. Not. Sign. For. Other. People.
If you have multiple personalities, which all have accounts, and all want eyeliner, then each of them has to sign for themselves. If your little brother wants to sign, but you're using the computer at the moment, sign off long enough to let him sign. One post, one account, one signature. Please.
If you do not put "signs", "I sign", "I will sign", or some use of the word "sign" in your post, how am I to know whether or not you've signed? Please don't make my job hard.
Do not PM Kittywitch about this petition unless you want to become affliates. You cannot sign this petition over PMs.

Febuary Seventeeth: We offically have over one hundred signatures. Kittywitch still can't spell. She does the lamest title change ever.
If you want a different style, please post a picture of it. Kittywitch doesn't know what most people wear.
March seventeenth, We have over three hundred signatures. I've finally learned to spell it. Kittywitch takes it to the Item suggestion thread.
July twenty-third: New feature, eyeliner Tek, allows people to edit eyeliner onto their own avitars. I feel it is important to point out that Gaia has never used the orginal art on an item they've made from a petition. Most of those styles will probably never be used.

Keep signing. The Mertail petition had 5662 signatures, and it worked! Petitions work, so keep signing, fellows!
The first signer on page one hundred will get their avitar used in a banner, with the makeup of their choice.

As of May ninth, all banners now have tinyurls, so they can actually fit in your signature!

If you put a banner in a randosig, that's fine, but please put a link somewhere in your profile.

If you want to show your support beyond just signing, and can't make a banner, do give us a bump or two.

NEW FEATURE!

Here we have all of the designs of eyeliner from the banners, removed from the models. You can try them on your avitar by creating it on Tektek, only without eyes, of anything that would cover the eyes partially. (glasses, hair, ect.) Then drag one of these kitties over it. (It's always puppies, why is that?) Then create an avitar that is just eyes (and hair, and glasses), and drag that over the whole mess.
This can be done in paint or appleworks easily as photoshop. Don't walk away muttering darkly about layers.
I would like to point out, however, whether or not this petiton passes, these particular edits will probably never be in use.

Here we have examples of other makeup, after many, many requests. These I assume would work like tattoos. (I personally think that the one displaying all possible makeup looks like a cheap prostitute. Maybe that's the look you're going for.)
However! The original purpose of the petition was eyeliner, and I have no idea if it will pass or not; and if it does what exactly will be used.
