Preamble:
Well I see a lot of people getting confused about shoutboxes in their signatures.
So, I thought I'd help em out.
Past threads like this have been made, people even sell the shoutboxes for gold. But whereas other people couldn't take the pressure, servers buckled under the strain of coping with the masses of download people were using, this thread shall prevail!

This project is open source, so please feel free to have as many copies of the shoutbox script uploaded, and share them with friends, the best part about open source software is the sharing.
Any problems, PM me, or try asking in the C&T as I go there a lot, and it's full of lovely people eager to help you out with any tech problems ^^

Ooh, pretty! I would have worked more and would have a lot more to give you, but my bandwidth wouldn't really call for extra fonts or fancy backgrounds.

First bug ^^
Cheers for telling me about that, I submitted it to my issue tracking page on the project page, and will fix it for the next release!
Also I might try and add a couple of extra features in, but nothing to major yet.

Bug has now been fixed ^^
Now it has error messages, which has set up a new feature I'll add into 0.3b

Wow, well I just did a major update. Read the readme file for more info, but pretty much it now has a system to protect your username, to stop people pretending to be you.
Also a few general tweaks and fixes!

Releasing new versions like there's no tomorrow!

Whoops!
Well my shoutbox was down, and I realised I should post why, incase anyone else came across this problem!
The code needs to read/write to the dontent.txt file included in the "shoutbox" folder.
You need to allow this to be done with a thing called "chmod" on the server, most FTP clients will let you do this by Right click > Properties and you should be able to check some boxes, or change a textbox with something like "0655" to "0777".
As in the guide above, if you have trouble with this part, or get some errors when trying to post, feel free to ask and we'll help you out ^^
Please note, this is just a small un-friendly bug that'll be fixed in the next version, which will be comming soon!

Woo! V0.4b is done and released.
Some features from the planned release were included, some left out. Mainly security fixes and some admin features. But just get, and replace all the files in the main folder apart from context.txt to update.

Done some minor updates for v0.4b, so now into v0.4gamma!
Basically some more stuff is put into a function. And it's all setup for the planned release of v0.5lambada.
But you may have to wait a while for that as I really want to test it so I don't have to update so often.

Keep me posted with any issues or feedback by the way!
