I am not fighting to destroy the admins work, I am fighting for a choice of what we want.


I understand, and more importantly I respect what must have gone in to make this new layout - and I know there are people who like it, but so far I have seen many people who do NOT like it, and because of this I want to find a midway. Some place where we would be able to choose the old or the new layout.

Though I will fight and try to get the old layout as an option, I also understand that the people I know, and that I don't know DO like this, and I do see it as a step in Gaia. I just don't like it.

Having been reminded, It seems that I should also say about the old Go-Gaia layout. I'm not sure how many of you would remember it, so as soon as I can, I will find a picture to post here. But it would be nice to have a choice to use that aswell. heart

Cons

1. With this new layout, they've taken away what the site used to be and what it meant to so many people here. I was an anime role playing community. Now it's a place to 'share stuff'. They're shooting for a different crowd with this layout. They're going for a younger crowd, it seems to me.
2. Who the ******** are those people in the sun?!
3. The whole point is the AVATAR. No it's smushed and nasty looking.
4. So much white space! I'm drowning!
5. Flash. I miss Flash. Flash was good.


1. Cluttered.
2. Too Fussy
3. Loads Slow On Slow PCs
4. Too big for small monitors
5. Takes ages to find what you want
6. Very dark. Depressing.
7. The background looks cheap and cliche
8. The shops look messy
9. Makes ads more noticable
10. My IE, and I have heard of other peoples, Keep freezing due to Gaia now.
11. The tabs on the top are useful, but waay too tiny.
12. It's tough to get the mouse cursor to hover over the one you want, because if you move it just a leetle too far, the whole tab menu disappears.
14. Eating half of the screen

AND Pros.

1. Modern
2. Good use of Java and Flash
3. Easier to get places
4. Easier to know what is what
5. More simple tabs
6. Darker, No eye burn.
7. Easier to shop
8. Less scrolling when minimized
9. Submenus = Useful
