To start to trade items you first must make sure you have enough trash items for the one you are looking for (see list below). To start go to the Hat Rack to see Ruby and Peyo. Click on the exchange trash sign on the bottom right to continue (see or click pic to the left). If you have enough trash he will offer to exchange it. Click on what you want (you should see this). Next he will confirm that is what you want, click the

To start out, make sure you have enough flowers and gold for what you want. Click on the exchange sign or the picture to the left to begin the process. If you have bugs you have not turned in for Ink I suggest you do that yo do that first so that you can make it even better. After you click the sing you should be taken to a window like this. Chose the flower you like and you will be taken to something like this, after you click on the type of flower item you will have the option IF you have bugs to add ink to change the paper color (looks like this. ONLY IF you are not making a single bouquet you will get the ability to add a ribbon (like this). You will then be taken to a confirmation stage to confirm that you are making a bouquet you want (another sample page), Just click yes and you will be taken to the susses page (here).

For Bugs you need 50 of one color or a RARE bug to use. There is also ink exchanges that allow you to trade in other inks to get new inks (eg, 1 white + 5 reds ). To start, go to Morias shop in Durem and then Click on the exchange sign. You can also just click on the image to the left. Next click on the ink you want to make, the page should look like this. Once you clicked on the bug you will be given the choice of directly exchanging 50 of one bug or a combined am out of others. (sample page). Like the other forms of the exchange you will be give a second chance to back down (sample), but if you want to continue click yes and this page should appear.

Gaia Towns Guide

Now that you know Gaia towns exist some of you may wonder... How do I get in? Well that is what I am here for. Our story starts with a simple click of the map button next to the forum button.

You will be taken to the nice town of Barton. Here you will board the train station (If you can't find it click the train station to the left). Once there you will be able to move around and interact with the NPC (non playable charters). It may be a good Idea to walk around by clicking where you want to go and let your avatar to all the work for you. To talk to a NPC click on the charter you want to talk to and if you are close enough you will begin a talk with the NPC. All the NPCs talk about valuable things that you should at least read once. Also do not forget to read the Town directory on the bottom of the town. It will tell you the basics of how to get around. If you want to sit down click on the symbol of the man to sit down (SAMPLE) . Remember that when you sit you will not be able to walk around until you click again to make your avatar to walk again.

Thou the NPC's are nice people staying there with them kind of gets boring right? Now if you want to meet and walk around with other gaians click the navigate button on the top of you screen (Sample to the right) an a large map should appear, but if it doesn't take your time, some days it is slow (To see full version click on sample to left) now click on an area you would like to go, for your first time I wouldn't recommend you go to anywhere near 001000 because this town is always full of lag due to the large amount of people in it. No once you find an area the looks ok, click on it. Now another map should pop up (SAMPLE) now once you click on an area you will be taken to another load screen and then once it is done you will be in the selected area! Now when you are here you may get the chance to walk around and talk to other gaians. How do you talk? Simple, near the bottom left of your screen there is a white bar, now doesn't it look like it could have a use? its obvious is it not? it is a chat box bar! Type what you want and press enter and wala your avi will have a speech bubble above his head! Now this is nifty! But still there seams like there still is not much to do in towns, but wait there is more!

To start the process to get your house, start by going to the Aekea Housing Commission. Once there get your house. If you don't know how, click on "homes". A window like this should appear. Once you decide which one you like click on it. A window like this should appear, click "yes". After that click on "Town Permits". A window like this should appear. Click yes like you did with the house. Once you have done that go into GAIA Towns found in | Barton Town |. This part may take some time, find a vacant sign (see pic to the left). Some areas will not have signs because they are "reserved" and a sign will not appear unless you are in the friend list of the person who reserved the town, Once you find one, stand next to it then click on the sign. After you do so a house will appear and ask if you want to move in, click "move in" and wala, your house will appear xd .

You can also find bugs, trash and flowers in towns and they can be got by simply clicking on the item when close to it. Once you click it, if you get the item it will appear in a circle around you head. If you missed picking it up your avatar will get pissed and go !#&%. To send these items to your inventory click the back back and then the robot on the bottom. He will ask if you want to save them and *poof* they will be in your inventory in GAIA.

To sum it up, Gaia towns is a place where you can do what ever you feel like, if it is chasing butterflies, to chatting it up with friends or new people you met a minute ago it is what ever you want to make it. Also try your best to make sure other users are having fun!

Clearing your cache

Many of the problems in Gaia can be fixed by clearing your cache, to do so is simple and depends on your browser. Here I will provide a decent walkthrough so that you can solve your troubles and move on in your gaian life.

Internet Explorer:

The first thing you must do is to clear your cache on Internet Explorer go to your tool bar and click on "Tools" bar, a side scroll drop down. Click the "Internet Options..." button.

A small window will appear, click the button labeled "delete files" located around the center of the window. A small window will appear.

The new window will appear, click the "delete all offline content" button. After this you just click the "OK" button and your computer will do it, this may take some time depending on how fast your computer is and how often you clear your cache, when the window disappears you will be taken back to the previous window, just hit "OK" and you are done.

NOTE: It is normal for the internet to run slowly after you clear your cache.

Mozilla Firefox:

Clearing the cache on Firefox is similar to Internet Explorer. First start by clicking the "tools" tab on the toolbar. A side scroll will open, click on "Options..."

In the box to your left the will be a bunch of selections to clear. Click the "Clear" button to the right of cache. Your computer will then clear your cache. This may take a while depending on the speed of your computer and how often you clear your cache. Once done click on the "OK" button and BANG you are done.

NOTE: It is normal for the internet to run slowly after you clear your cache.

AOL:

STEP 1: Click on "Settings"

If you are haveing trouble fitting the town screen in your screen I would sugest changeing the screen resolutiion, below is a way to.

First goto your desktop and right click, make shure you are not clicking on any icon. selecet "Proprties"

Next press the "settings" tab on the top right.

near the bottom left you will see a knob. move it to around 1024 x 768 and press "OK" your computer will take time to load the new resolution and will then ask if you want to keep the new settings. say "yes" and wala done

FAQ

Q: Towns are not working
A: Checklist to fix towns:

have you tried reopening the window
have you cleared your cache? (info can be found here)
do you have a firewall enabled?
do you have the latest version of shockwave?
There are other unknown reasons as well gonk

Q: Why am I loading forever gonk
A: I hate when this happens, you must close your towns window, and reopen it.

Q: What can I do with my bugs?
A: Right now all you can do is sell them in the marketplace, soon you may be able to trade them in like the fishing items to get Items.

Q: Do people buy at these prices
A: Not always, there is a massive supply and a small demand.

Q: Boggie keeps saying "unidentified"
A: Man I hate when this happens, all you must do is click on the navigate and go to a new area. Or close the window and reopen it.

Q: I am a grey blob
A: try reserving your avatar and after that I suggest clearing your cache. For information on how to do this click here

Q: How do I get a house?
A: first get a free house and a permit from the Aekea Housing Commission To place your home you need to find a lot that has a vacancy, go to that lot, and walk up to a plot of land that has a for sale sign on it. When you click the sign, you're given the option to place your house there. You can buy items to put in your house at The Faktori. Note: Many of the towns are reserved and you will not be able to move in there, keep looking.

Q: My house if not saving
A: There is a bug that effects certain items for saving.

Q: I cant see vacant signs
A: If you can see vacant signs make sure you have a house and permit from the Aekea Housing Commission If that dose not work you most likely are in a reserved area. you can not build a house in a reserved area unless you are on there friends list.
