What is the point of GAIA: The Musical?
The point? I'd tell you there isn't one, but that would be a lie. I wanted GAIA: The Musical to be not only a tribute to my favorite website (a thank-you of sorts to the admins, mods, helpers and users for all the hours I've spent on Gaia Online), but also I wanted it to be something to bring people joy, if just for a few minutes in an otherwise unpleasant day. To make them laugh, or at least smile inwardly. I hope that you enjoy reading GAIA: The Musical, because for each person who does, this thread gets a LOT more meaningful.

Updates:

June 17th- Images in first post updated to keep the original formatting in a way that worked with the new forum layout, hopefully no one will notice any difference. Linked to Sarteck's thread, go check it out! I have one song there, on page 4. It's a parody of Barenaked Ladies' "One Week."
May 15th- "What is the point of GAIA: The Musical?" section added above.
May 10th- Update on the MP3 recordings of GAIA: The Musical songs that I have previously mentioned: I've been working on them, and they're turning out pretty well. I've found a great web resource for musical midis and I've gotten a better-quality headset microphone to cut out unwanted noise. The problem is with web hosting. The MP3s are large and take a bunch of bandwidth, and I currently don't have a solution. Stay tuned!
April 25th- Due to the utter crashing-and-burning of my Photobucket album due to GAIA: The Musical, we request that you please TRY TO AVOID DIRECT LINKING TO THE MUSICAL IMAGES/BANNERS. InsaneHyperDragon is VERY generously hosting the images from now on, so if you have a chance, thank her! I would have had to delete all of the GAIA: The Musical images otherwise.

Scene 7. Set is the server room. The other Admins arrive, arms laden with backup disks. They do a hard reboot of all the servers and then restore the backups, saving Lanzer and defeating Sushi. (Credits for the original song: The Sound of Music, The Sound of Music.)

Lanzer: The forums are alive with the lines of postings,
With titles they have borne for a thousand years!
The site fills my mind with the thought of code working,
