Do you remember the nights we,
Stayed up just laughing,
Smiling for hours
At anything....

It was around morning, a day before the new school term started. Charlotte looked out the window of her parent's rental car, seeing the beautiful beaches of California. She woke up especially early today so she could get to school early, and maybe hang out with her brother. She was just so excited to be going to a school across the country, with so much freedom, it was unbelievable! She would miss her parents, of course, but she was fifteen now. Charlotte believed that she couldn't hang on to her parents forever!
Finally, after what seemed like hours of driving, her parents pulled up to her new school. Pacific Coast Academy. Immediately as the car stopped, Charlotte jumped out and walked forward, looking around in awe and wonder. The school was so huge... and so beautiful! She had no clue where anything was. Charlotte glared backwards towards her parents when she heard them grunting. They were struggling to get her bags out of the car. She walked over and waved, turning back around.
"Alright, guys, I'll email you later! I love you lots, see you at Christmas, bye!" She shouted, turning to leave, when her father grabbed her back and both her parents kissed her on the cheek. Charlotte shook her head. "Mom, Dad, stop it! You're embarrassing me on my first day in a new school!" She protested, and her parents and Charlotte exchanged goodbyes, and Charlotte smiled small and waved as the car drove away. She felt a pang of sadness watching her parents go, but she had to remind herself to straighten up.
Charlotte walked into a building that she believed to be an office of sorts. She found a map, and her schedule, and tried to find the dorm building for the girls. Charlotte finally found it, and hauled all her things into the door, walking down the hall until she found her correct dorm. The door was open, and nobody was inside. Charlotte walked through and saw a bunk bed, and single bed. She had no clue who her roommates were, but figured that she would probably meet them later.
Charlotte put all her bags -- there were 5 suitcases, two small bags -- in the corner of the room, and looked around. There was a huge window, with a view of a huge meadow-type area, and a beach in the very distance. Charlotte looked at the light blue walls, and the circles in the wall, with just enough room to put something in them. Even though the room was horribly empty, Charlotte loved the place all the same. She smiled and started unpacking her things, wondering if she would have enough space for all her things. There were three dressers, and one huge closet, but Charlotte didn't know how much stuff her roommates would have.
We were so young then,
We were too crazy
In love...
