Fairend Skye, a mercenary academy run by Shizuka Tensui with the help of her friends for several eventful years. The large academy in the sky has been the best training facility out of the four great cities ever since it was started.

1- Must be at least semi-literate. We want to be able to understand what your character is saying or doing. Try your best with spelling (absolutely no chat speech), use "quotation marks" for speech, no *for actions*. I don't want to see one-liners very often, at least try for 3 good-size sentences.

2- Short posts are permitted. HOWEVER, they must be able to be replied to unless your character is going inactive.

3- Don't quote posts over 3 times please. If you're quoting a long post, don't do this over 2 times. And don't quote the front page.

4- NO God-modding (automatic hits, never getting hit, etc.). First offence is a warning, second is possible blacklisting. And unless someone gives you the "OK" and you've notified me of it in some way or another, you aren't allowed to kill anyone.

5- Try to keep the swearing to a minimum; we don't want to read swears every other word in a post.

6- Romance is allowed, but keep it PG-13 - use time skips if the clothes come off. NO cybering. You will be reported.

7- You are allowed to play more than one character (up to 4, subject to change - if you feel you want to play more, I have to see you're capable of handling the first four characters you created before I allow any more), but MUST have a main character that is at Fairend Skye (see #10 as well). Use something like font color, for example, to distinguish between your characters.
indent7.5-You must send multiple applications, one for each character you would like to play. Send me, Shizuka Tensui, a PM titled "I am a Fairend Skye Mercenary" for FSM characters, "Everia shall rule!" for Everian characters, or "Stuck in the middle" for Mianne and Entera characters.

8- If you start something in the RP, such as a fight or conversation, and you don't reply within a 24-hour period (exception being if you told someone you would be gone for a period of time), the other person has the right to end it and continue in the RP - no "but"s.

***9- Be active!! At least 5 posts a week if that's all you can manage. If you are gone for over two weeks since your last post in the thread and didn't let Shizuka know that you would be absent, your profile will be marked in red and you will have two days to post before I delete your character. If you wish to rejoin, PM me (Shizuka) the same profile and actually be active. To go along with this, if you're a post-and-run: go away, now.

10- To go along with #7, you main character can be an Everian but only if disguised as one of the undercover students at Fairend Skye. We will need these characters, as it makes everything more interesting. Everian missions for these students will be assigned by Shizuka (me, not the character), and formed by her and whoever plays the lead of Everia's forces.

11- If you want to quit the RP that's fine, BUT -- you MUST PM me, Shizuka, to let me know. Seriously, it makes everything easier. There's nothing more annoying than sitting around for someone to post when it turns out they're never going to show up again.

12- Post styles are not required even though they're very common, but I want at least your character's picture and name in each of your RP posts.

13- To make sure you've read all the rules, put a ninja emote in the PM you send to Shizuka that contains your character profile.

14- OOC is okay in the main thread, but only if its accompanied by an RP post. Use [[]], (()), {{}}, or some other markings to signal OOC speech. For a lot of Out of Context speech that has to do with major plot twists and/or isn't related to the roleplay in any way, use the OOC Thread. If you have a major plot twist which involves everyone, but you don't want anyone or a very limited amount of people to know about, you have to PM Shizuka to make sure its okay to carry out.

***15- NO spamming, bumping, or other forms of obnoxiousness - USE THE CHATTER BOX! This is a role play thread, not some place you can randomly post in no matter how much you feel it "necessary". Doing so once will earn you a warning and post deletion, twice will earn you a permanent place on the blacklist and possible reporting depending on what you posted.

★ Mercenaries are supposed to do any job for pay without questions right? Well, Fairend Skye Mercenaries have a little requirement - we won't do jobs that will result in unnecessary collateral damage or put innocent lives at risk.
Some students at Fairend had a problem with this standard, and were kicked out of the city for trying to convince other students to go against this code. Wanting revenge, the students went to Everia and told the government that Fairend Skye plotted an attack against them. Everia sent their own student mercenaries in disguise as new students amongst the ones at Fairend Skye to get close to the staff and destroy them, but so far they've been unsuccessful. ★
Original Thread: Fairend Skye Mercenaries

Two years have passed at Fairend Skye Mercenary Academy, surprisingly full of peace with the outside world. Mianne and Entera had continued their usual business, while Everia had seemingly stopped any of their attempts at trying to take down the one obstacle standing between them and taking over the other two giant cities. 'Finally,' Fairend thought as it breathed a sigh of relief, 'we've beaten them for good.' Little did Fairend and the others know though that while they were enjoying their suddenly quiet lives, Everia was secretly planning something bigger than anyone had ever seen from them before..

During this pause in action, many changes have taken place at the sky academy. Shizuka Tensui had ended her five-year streak as the Headmistress, somewhat reluctantly surrendering her lead position to her husband, Hiro Senju. Though she kept herself on the payroll as the primary instructor at the school, she only had time to teach for a few months before finding out some fantastic news. Other instructors have emerged as well, one of which was a former student, Olivia Kian. Day by day, this place lives in complete ignorance of what their adversary has been up to, but sometime soon they will withdraw all of their undercover students from Fairend Skye and unleash a terrible destruction. Will Fairend Skye be ready in time for what's coming?

★ Important Storyline Addition: Already, Everia has succeeded in taking over the entire mainland area. Both Entera and Mianne are now under Everian control, but most of their citizens were evacuated to Fairend Skye during a mission along with the lieutenant Governors, soon to be new leaders of the two cities seeing as the formers had been executed (Entera- Lt-Gov. Herondale, Mianne- Lt-Gov. Wilshire). Fairend Skye operatives as well as any associated with or supportive of FSM are seen as fugitives and are to be killed on the spot should they be caught on the Mainland, but even despite this, Fairend has been chosen by the new Governors to take action to put Everia back in their place. The Everian-Fairend War, as it will become known, has yet to reach its pinnacle but two things are certain at the current point in time - more blood will be shed, and Everia is beginning to run out of resources, or so everyone thinks... ★

Ϝairend ⋨kye:: Fairend Skye is an enormous island floating high in the sky. The only way to get to it is through a single portal gate in a plot of forest below the island, which is owned by Fairend but considered neutral land by the cities surrounding it, which transports you to the gate that is directly above it near the edge of the island. The massive island consists of the academy, of course, and its dorms, library, training areas, lake, forest with distant mountains, and parking lot - as well as its own city. The main building of the school itself has four floors (pictured in first post) and contains classrooms, offices, and the food court and infirmary. A map of both the academy and the mainland is on each PDA given out to new students, see links below.

[indent]⋨kyeȻity:: The island in the sky where the academy resides also contains a city of its own. It is a few miles away from the school itself, a highway connecting the two lined with forest, and houses the SkyeKnights and whoever else wishes to live there. With included shopping and business districts, SkyeCity is just like any other city, though obviously a bit smaller. If the infirmary at the academy gets too full, there is also a hospital in the city.

Єveria:: Home of Fairend's rival group, an evil organization and an alternate school. Everia was around before Fairend was started and since then it has been constantly trying to bring the academy to its knees with their ruthless, brutal soldiers that know no boundaries when it comes to torture and killing (something Fairend teaches their students to be the opposite of). The large city is located between Mianne and Entera, with the Everian Forest bordering the city on all sides. This is one of the places where your missions will be, but keep in mind that every Everian hates Fairend Skye with a passion, and if you're recognized by anyone including civilians they won't hesitate to try and kill you.

Єverian Ϝorest:: Borders Everia on all sides. Its very dense and at some parts if you take an off-road trail you can't use a motor vehicle and have to proceed on foot. There is plenty of life within the forest, though its rarely seen, giving off an eerie feeling when it's passed through. There is one main road that travels straight through the forest, beginning at Mianne and ending in Entera, running next to but never through Everia.

Ӎianne:: The city of skyscrapers. West of Everia. Mainly a business and manufacturing city, but also has a fairly large outer area that houses its population. Its hospital has the absolute best care in the region, even rising above that of Fairend. If you're looking for the best meal or the most gorgeous outfit around, you'll find it in Mianne.

Σntera:: This city deals mainly in farming and is the poorest of the three mainland cities. East of Everia. Farms cover the entire area for miles once you exit the Everian forest, but when you get to the city you see the dirty, seemingly run-down buildings, only some of which still house families and businesses. Though Entera is a grimy old place, its inhabitants are some of the nicest people you'll meet.

Based upon your ranking at Fairend Skye, you get certain benefits and have certain responsibilities within the RP. These are the same for Everian characters (though the titles differ).

Headmaster/mistress:
-runs Fairend Skye
-makes rules & regulations
-assigns missions and groups for them
-teaches classes
-responsible for the protection of the academy

SkyeGuardian:
-Second-In-Command; helps run Fairend Skye
-Primary instructor
-helps make rules and regulations
-helps assign missions and groups
-teaches classes
-responsible for the protection of the academy

Instructors:
-teach classes
-if told to do so, will accompany or lead groups on missions
-responsible for the protection of the academy

SkyeKnights:
-lead mission groups
-may choose to teach classes (only with headmaster/mistress approval)
-can also join training sessions if they wish; otherwise, training is on their own time
-still have to attend regular classes (classroom stuff)
-responsible for the protection of the academy

Trainees:
-must obey commands of all personnel above them
-are assigned to certain missions by the headmaster/mistress only
-attend training and regular classes
-are only allowed to graduate to level of SkyeKnight after a full background check,
and multiple battles with random staff members that will test every area they've been trained in

Graduating from Trainee to SkyeKnight::
Every 2 'major' missions (this meaning a team of some sort is required, most will have this) your character completes they will have the chance to take part in a graduation ceremony. If your character is under the age of sixteen, they need to complete one extra mission for each year they're missing before they'll be allowed to graduate (can't have twelve year old SkyeKnights running around, ya know...). As for side missions, depending on the objective and location there may or may not be pay and the potential for them to count towards graduation.
The headmaster/mistress will decide (with council from guardian & primary instructor) who will and will not graduate from Trainee to SkyeKnight, or from general SkyeKnight to a different class SkyeKnight, based on their performance during those missions.
SkyeKnights will be promoted to different class rankings based on their abilities. They start in the general category which is Third Class ('lowest' class), then work their way to Second Class and First Class depending on how specialized and adept they are in their skills (example: if your character only uses magic or weapons and not both, for instance, they'll be in Second Class; but if they can use their magic to aide their weapons and hand-to-hand combat, they'll become a First Class).
If given the option, SkyeKnights can be promoted to instructors by the Headmaster/mistress.

Depending upon your Skye ranking you will be 'paid' a weekly salary for RP use. This money will go into an 'account' for your character to use when they need a new weapon, have to buy mission supplies, etc.
Everyone starts with a base salary. Trainees earn 1,000g; Instructors and other staff earn 21,000g.
First Class SkyeKnights earn 10,000g, Second Class around 7,000g, and Third Class gets 5,000g.

The amount you earn on missions goes up depending on the type you complete.
SS - Hardest - 20,000+
S - 15,000
A - 10,000
B - Middle Difficulty - 5,000 to 7,000
C - 4,000
D - 2,000
E - Easiest - 1,000
SkyeKnights and Instructors are the only ones that are assigned to lead or go solo on SS- & S-ranked missions, though they get the opportunity to choose lower ranked missions if they wish.
For Trainees, the most common are C-E ranks if they are chosen or given the opportunity to lead, though occasionally a few will be given B or even A missions.
As for simply participating, trainees can be assigned to any rank of mission, as well as SkyeKnights.

Hiro yawned softly as he slowly awoke from his long slumber beside his oh-so beautiful wife 'Oh jeez... I still feel tired... My body hasn't even adjusted to it properly..' He thought to himself before looking over to Shizuka who laid silently beside him, He begun to smile softly towards the sight of his wife, He silently leaned over and kissed on the cheek softly "Morning.." He whispered before getting off of the bed, Deciding to get changed and head off to work. Hiro never did live in Fairend Skye, He had decided to live within the home he had bought and paid off within Mianne. Hiro grabbed a black suit and placed it on a rack that was in the bathroom, Hiro gently closed the door behind him and turned on the shower, Blah, Blah, Blah, Ten minutes past, He was finally dried, clean and dressed, He soon walked out of the bathroom, Letting out one last yawn before looking over to Shizuka as he tried to make his tie look just right.
