‘Live to work. Work to live.’ A statement that’s all too familiar to ten small fish employees. It seems there’s some sort of magical day when you become a teenager that it’s suddenly up to you to be able to buy the things you want. No more shopping sprees with your mom. Now you’re an ‘adult,’ ‘responsible,’ ‘mature’ and ‘you should know better.’ Of course you wave this off as a phase, parents go through this kind of thing all the time, right? Unfortunately, wrong. You found out they meant it when your last pair of jeans wore completely through and they refused to buy you a new pair. So you had to swallow your pride, stamp out your childhood dreams and spend a grueling hour of agony writing a resume. Time to grow up.

That was only the start of a chain of unfortunate events that has led you to where you are today. After the resume came the application; in which you meandered into the store and stood awkwardly in line with nothing to buy, then you quickly handed over the pathetically blank paper and slinked off to the parking lot to re-inflate your popped ego. Of course that was only scene two of the horror movie because your interview surely takes the cake. Dressed up looking ‘smart’ or ‘darling’ you went to meet the manager who sat you down behind the costumer service desk and proceeded to ask you questions you weren’t sure you wanted to answer. Awkward handshakes and silences followed by jumbled sentences and promises you were sure you couldn’t keep. But you really needed the job.

When the call came informing you the position was yours you weren’t sure whether to be happy because you’d be being paid or upset because you’d probably never see your weekends again. Either way your parents were pleased but that’s pretty much where it ends. You still want to have fun, and working isn’t exactly on the list of most fun things to do. Sadly you sigh and put on a brave face and follow in the steps of working class teens every where, you don your uniform and head off to work at Wal Mart.

Luckily it’s not as bad as you thought. Sure, both the pay and hours suck something fierce but some of the people are really cool which always insures breaks are a blast. At least you’ve made some awesome new friends to complain about the boss with and there is that one special person who’s caught your eye. But there’s a long way to go before work can be considered fun. Unless you work the night shift, then it’s eight hours. The store is always more fun when it’s closed.

Posting.
Alright, here's the deal. This is a literate to advanced literate role play. I'm not going to waver on this guys. Your first post should have anywhere from five to eight plus paragraphs. For regular posts I expect a minimum of four paragraphs. Spelling and grammar are important, I understand a few mistakes here and there that you missed but tread carefully. Your posts have to be third person, past tense. You will not use *___* for actions or you'll be kicked out before you can say, "Gee whiz, I'm a no0b!" Your posts should be pretty but not to the extent that they look like they're on acid. Use colors people can read and don't use the same posting color as someone else. I understand I'm asking for a lot here so I'll give you a break in the fact that I don't want to keep a rigid posting order, I think it kills role plays, but if you go three days without posting and I've had no warning about it, I'll kill your character. So give me a heads up, It'll save your life.

Profiles.
Use my skeleton. Failure to comply with this rule will result in your swift rejection and I won't accept another profile after even if you rectify your mistake, got it? Do not use images of celebrites. I will tell you to find a new picture if I don't like it. Don't be a Mary Jane; I really don't want a bunch of stories about how you're an orphan, or your parents beat you, or your life was s**t. Everyone does that and it's always boring. Title your reservations 'Clock in' after reserving you'll have five hours to get your profile in, title your profile PM's 'Clock out'. Be creative, have fun. Create a character as multi-layered and fascinating as you are.

General.
I hate saying this stuff because, honestly, if you've continued to read through my crazy long, strict rules, you follow all of these anyways, but since I have to lets get on with the show. Follow Gaia TOS, it's not just there to make the site look proffesional or pretty, it has a purpose. No cybering in my thread. No one wants to read that, I don't care if you do a time skip but any cybering and you're gone, no warning. Swearing is fine, I do it, just don't fill your post to the brim with it. Violence and romance are incouraged but do not kill other characters with out both the role players consent and my own.
