- At first, Juliett had honestly expected things to feel a bit awkward, but Tony was very talkative and he easily came up with comments or questions that progressed conversation. But, thankfully, all was not lost because when she asked questions to Khristoph he did speak. Again she turned her eyes on the tall male, as he spoke of where they had moved from. “The summers must be longer in Anchorage.” Juliett smiled warmly. He did have a tan, as did Tony unless it was natural, so maybe they were used to working outside in Anchorage, but she would not pry into their personal lives. “Oh.” Juliett’s crinkled her nose. Believe it or not, Juliett really didn’t like fish. She especially hated the smell. “He must really love fish. . . “ She mumbled to herself. It made sense. Barrow was known for its fishing exports.
Sure, Juliett had long noticed that Tony was nicely built, but she was a bit embarrassed by his movements of so artfully taking off his clothes. It made her feel a bit awkward, especially because she didn’t know him so well. She adverted her eyes to the boxes. It seemed like they were still unpacking. When Tony spoke again, Juliett nervously chuckled as he recited Shakespeare and spoke of her parents. “Brings back memories from high school. I assume they were,” Juliett said softly, twiddling her fingers. Juliett was not good at deciphering flirty words. She always thought them to be more as friendly, thanks to her oblivious personality. It took the boys, back in highschool, the longest time to ask her out on a date if they didn't make it specific that they were, indeed, asking her out. Back on track to why her parents would have named her Juliett would never be known. However, she knew they would be proud with her title of Beta and at such a young age. “Do you like fish too?” Juliett asked Tony, curious if Tony and Khristoph were brothers. There was then a knock on the door and Tony disappeared.
Now Juliett turned her eyes onto Khristoph. She watched as he reached for a cookie. Juliett always became a bit nervous when others tried her baking. When he commented on the shape of her cookies, she lifted her left eyebrow in question curious to why that would be funny. But she would save that question for another day. And then he complimented her. That won him her best smile. Her face lit up instantly as her cheeks flushed. Silly, Juli. Her cheeks easily turned red against her fair skin. “Thank you. The secret ingredient is pouring the soul into the cookies.” Juliett said warmly. Although, Juli had been young when she had lost her parents she vaguely continued to hold onto past memories. Her mother enjoyed baking and Juliett always was helping. Really, it wasn’t helping. It was more like making a mess and covering the kitchen and one another in flour.
Another female entered the scene with luscious blond hair. She was beautiful this woman. "Juliett, this is Savannah. My brother's fiancee." Khristoph introduced the woman as Juliett smiled warmly at her. Juliett nodded back at the woman before letting her eyes trail to the woman’s left hand. Where was the ring? Maybe she took it off, but why would anyone take off the ring, unless. . .she wasn’t happy with being engaged. “The pleasure is all mine,” Juliett said abruptly turning her green eyes back onto the woman’s face and giving a small smile. Not having a ring on the finger was certainly strange. One thing was for certain, Khristoph and Tony were not siblings. If they were then wouldn’t Khristoph have introduced Savannah as Tony’s finacee? Then Tony was back in the kitchen with an all too familiar face. “Colin?” Juliett asked. “I didn’t know you wanted to come visit too.” Juli said, knowing all too well that Colin had been sleeping at the time. No matter, she gave him a warm smile. Colin was a close friend of hers. When Tony commented on the cookies, Juli’s face flushed before she beamed another smile. “Thank you.” Juliett was flattered. The Edwards were so very kind and warm, welcoming, and lively.
With the new Edward edition, Ariana. There were so many faces and names to remember, Juliett wasn’t even sure if she could follow anymore. When Ariana pointed out the crumbs on Khristoph’s face, Juliett couldn’t help but look at Khristoph. Just as quickly as she looked, however, she turned her eyes away, flustered once again. “Did your family have a business in Anchorage as well?” Juliett asked, chocking out the words trying to say anything and find out a bit about the new family.
