Welcome to a new story; one where the ending is a bit different; mainly because there is no ending. The next post will tell you the back story for this rp.

I simply want to establish a few things for this rp. It is open to everyone; all that's required is that I accept your profile. That said it is a Lazy-Lit to Adv-Lit Rp which means I expect no less than two paragraphs. Be polite to people in the thread; If there are issues tell me and I'll try to sort them out.

With that out of the way let me go ahead and state a few facts about the RP:
This RP is taking place in the Big Apple aka New York City.

First let me begin by explaining the partnership because this is by far one of the most important aspects to this rp. Your power in this rp is all based around your personality and also that's the same thing with your spirit animal.

Also everyone can see your spirit animal, so remember that; for it would be bad if your spirit animal is a tiger and your suddenly walking around with a full grown tiger in the middle of New york.

Also another thing about the spirit animals is that people with them naturally heal faster than the average human who hasn't obtained one yet. As long as the owner is in direct contact with his/her spirit animal they heal much faster, for example if you break your arm instead of it taking weeks to heal it should only take about two-three days if your in constant contact with your spirit animal.

Another thing about ones Spirit Animal, is that every spirit does have a name. They even can speak telepathically with their owners but only their owners. And the only a spirit animal can tell the different between a regular animal and a spirit. Though this also refers to something important, spirit animals are the source of ones powers so if one is injured then your powers weaken considerably. Thought it is pretty difficult to injure one, the only way is for another spirit to injure one for not even powers can affect a spirit animal, though you can kick and push them back you cannot actually hurt them.)

Well in all honesty know one knows when people with strange powers and abilities started showing up. I suppose we could start when the government itself starting noticing eh? It was all around the time when someone reported a lion living within an apartment building, when authorities arrived they claimed the man used some sort of power on them before they could finally arrest him. Of course once the American government got hold of this information they made everyone silent either with bribes or threats, you know what ever the government does. After that case it isn't shown in any records but many people were being collected by the military and put into centralized areas all around America, but not just there all around the world people with strange animals following them around were being collected by their respective governments. Who were these people you ask? Well they are regular human beings of course. Only the difference is that they have completely and utterly accepted who they are, and in doing so have unlocked the potential which rests within every man, woman and child. Thus allowing them to bring out spirit animals, everyone is born with a spirit animal though. The only reason some people can bring out theirs and others can't is the fact that those who have acquired spirit animals have completely and utterly accepted their own personality. Everyone has inner demons, those few things that they completely and utterly hate themselves for, you have to accept yourself for you who are in your entirety to obtain a spirit animal. It doesn't sound like a hard task at all but with how human beings are these days it is extremely difficult. Not only that, but the powers apparently granted to someone with a spirit animal also coincides with that individual's personality.

Well anyways back to the governments plans and such eh? Now where was I? Oh right! Well what the American government decided that to contain the situation they made specific places for those with powers to live within cities and such as the general public to this day still don't know that there are people with abilities out there. So since our story is located here in New York, this place had two places for them to live in at first. The first one created was code named Obsidian, the second was code named Blood Moon. The people here in these places had to find ways to survive so as all people who want to live do, they began using their abilities to steal and smuggle, turning to organized crime to support their communities. This was all good and dandy, that is until things began to get serious. This is how the gangs and mob style activities started in these places, this is how it began. The first location elected a leading family and then named their gang Obsidian after their little prison. The second named themselves Spirits of the Blood moon, also after their make-shift prison.

After a few years the rather close gangs grew distant as the Obsidian and Blood moons began taking over all the organized crime in New York. They began to fight constantly, and little gang wars involving powers is never a good thing eh? The government began losing control of the situation not just there, but all over America. Though our story isn't over just yet,sometime over the next few years after the gangs declared war over each other a split happened within each gang. Within Obsidian a rather young boy at the time broke off from Obsidian using his abilities and playfulness to form his own gang from other members who agreed with him and shared his ideals. Obsidian was a gang that was treated like family so this little break off didn't involve much fighting, this gang formed into a strong gang called Tempest who now rules over the northern part of New York.

Within Spirits of the Blood moon it was a little different, in their gang only the strongest survived and deserved to be at the top. So their break up was rather violent and nasty but the people who wanted to leave and start their own gang succeeded. No one knows who decided to break off and start a new but they did a rather good job for even though its the newest it is still one of the four strongest gangs now in New York, They call themselves the Underground Prowlers. These four gangs are the strongest gangs in New York, each of the leaders of these gangs are known as a Spirit King, simply for names purposes of course. But this name does have a meaning, it means currently each Spirit king is the strongest in his respective gang, enough so that their reputation has earned them that title.

So now that all the gangs that are in this story so far are introduced, its time to get this show on the road! Loves may be forged between rival gangs, people may wish to break off and form their own gangs the possibilities are endless! Like the say New York is the city of dreams! And anything can happen so lets go! But remember these are gangs, and betrayal could happen any minute.

✘No Godmodding. This is serious. No matter who you are you have to take a hit sometime and this goes for your character isn't invincible.

✘Keep autohitting to a minimum

✘Talk in third person. No using ** or -- for actions. Write it out guys.

✘Trolls will be tortured by myself personally /sadistic smile/

✘Literacy- I don't require much but I will not accept any one liners. Under any circumstances. I require at least a paragraph with 5-6 sentences. Writer's block is fine but I still expect at least 3 sentences.

✘Cursing is okay, I could care less but for those with more sensitive ears keep it at a minimum hmm? I mean this is a gang rp.

✘Send all profiles to me via PM with the title of which gang you are in.

✘Romance is encouraged but keep it PG-13. When your clothes are off head off somewhere else if you want to finish it. Come on gangs who doesn't want to spice up the rp with cross gang romance ^^

✘Violence is encouraged but no killing someone's character without telling them and me first. I don't like to deal with complaints considering this

✘You may only have 3 characters at one time and they must stay active!

✘Post at least twice a week or be subject to being banned. You will receive one warning, if I have to remind you again I'll remove your character and you will have to resubmit to continue in the rp.

✘Use (()) or [[]] for OOC (Out of character talk). I only accept this if it is important or in your characters post, for everything else use the OOC thread.

✘Use proper grammar people. A few spelling mistakes is fine but when I can't understand what your saying....your post will be deleted and you will be forced to redo it.

✘NO INSTANT TIME TRAVELING! Seriously you cant go from one gangs territory to the next or across the city in one post. Use your brain and try to spend a reasonable time traveling.

✘Follow Gaia TOS. Why? Because I like being on gaia...get me banned and I'll haunt you from miles away. Trust me. I can do that

✘I rule this plane of existence. I can change the rules when I want to.

✘You see the number of gang members and gangs allowed below? That is the max number of people within those main gangs until we get them filled up, once they are filled up I will be allowing more people into each gang and even for people to begin separating once the rp gets going and creating their own gang. ^^ This is a gang rp and betrayal is only a matter of time.

Gang Info

Tempest
Is the largest gang. The leader will eventually have the "I'm better than the other Kings and will take them over" mindset. Has more intel than the others about what the government is up to. Holds most of the events that happen.

Blood Moon
Is the most dangerous known gang. Their leader's name alone sends fear into people. The bar in their area is the best place for a drink, so others try to get to it.
