Wolf

I just want to cry into your shoulder
And let it all go away
And let you calm me
but we're just kids so we can't go anywhere
You're making me dizzy
So I spin in circles
Because when the world's spinning
The only way to see clearly is to spin the other way
I've got nothing left to lose
So I'll dive straight into the clouds
So catch me
I've got nothing left to lose
So let me run with the wolves

Princess


When I was younger
I wanted to be a princess.
A cowgirl, astronaut, lawyer, singer, geologist, princess
to be exact.
I had all of these plans
for growing up
for being a mommy
and having a prince charming
and being in love
and being
I guess
what every little girl wants
in some way or another.
And now
I'm almost grown up
and I'm not a princess.
I'm not a cowgirl, astronaut, lawyer, singer, geologist, princess
to be honest
I don't want to be anymore.
To be honest
I want to go back
and be the little kid
the innocent
cowgirl, astronaut, lawyer, singer, geologist princess
dreamer
that I was.

Prometheus's Fire

Once
The world was beautiful
The sun rose
It set
And every hour in between
The world shone brightly
And every hour after
the world glowed beautifully
Until the day started again

And then prometheus
With his love for humans
And his knowledge of science
Brought fire to our world
And while he was punished for it
We burnt the world
And the sun rise glowed with the red of fire
And the sun set burned with red of blood
And the hours in between
shone with the light of the sun
As he watched the children of the gods
Destroy each other
And the hours after
no longer glowed with the lights of the stars and moon
But instead with the light of fires
Built to scare animals
And eachother

So the lord zeus showed his rage
And flooded the earth
But prometheus
Though it threatened more punishment
Warned his nephew and his wife
And they built a boat
So the sun rose
And the sun set
Without the red of war
And the hours between shone brighter and brighter still
Reflecting off the new surface of the earth
And the hours after glowed,
singing a tune to the waters
that drew them higher and cast them back again.

When the waters subsided
Zeus gave humanity one last chance
And told the wife and husband
To cast the bones of the earth over their shoulder
The couple picked up stones
And tossed them back
Never looking to see
What monsters they were creating
And the new race of man was born
Ready to streak the skies with red

He calls me amazing
beautiful
wonderful
special.
He calls me his.
He calls me love
Hun
Babe
Gorgeous
But I don't believe him
Its not that I don't believe in him.
It's not that I don't trust him.
But at the same time...
It is.
And I love him
but I don't know
how he feels
because unfortunately
I can't read minds.
