Spellcasting: Akira has memorized many mundane spells that help him with simple everyday tasks, such as cleaning up or moving objects. He can cast just about any spell but he needs the right spell book and time to cast it.
Blackfire: Akira breathes black colored fire because it's infused with Volcanic Ash, so it burns and smokes more than average Dragon fire, but it also serves to enrich the Earth it burns so that more heathy bature can grow. However Akira can only breathe fire in dragon form.

Terra: Being a black dragon means Akira has a connection to the earth. In dragon form, Akira can speak to the earth and will it to move the ground around him.
Nightmare: Akiras last resort power. The target is surrounded with darkness, and cast into a nightmare while they're awake, divulging all their deepest fears as hallucinations before their eyes.

                  ▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀ Background ▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀

                  [Biography]

Akira probably had the hardest time adapting to the life of a human. While all dragons had to get used to human behavior and emotions, Akira questioned it in a way most found offensive, even though they were honest questions. He was slow on the uptake of emotions, and when many dragons learned to accept the ways humans acted, and others still found themselves embracing it as well when the censors weren't around, Akira was still left with his questions. In a kingdom where humans shunned dragons, it didn't help that Akira was shunned by his own kind either. Black dragons have always been seen as demonic, an omen of bad things to come, and their powers always sinister. This wasn't a wild accusation, because in history it had always been black dragons who were violent, crazed, or power hungry. But even if Akira was none of these things, the stereotype loomed over him like a curse. He was quiet, awkward, and antisocial, he didn't have any place to go, until he found the library. It was the library that allowed him to finally begin to understand humans, they had so many books on their history and the answers to so many of his questions. He spent all of his time there, so much in fact, that the Librarian offered him a job. It would give Akira a chance to interact more with humans and a reason to stay late at night reading books, so he accepted gratefully.

The Librarian, Allastor, was Akiras first human friend. He never bothered the dragon too much, suggested many books to read, paid him money for his work tidying up the library and sorting the books. Eventually, to get more interaction, Akira started calculating book costs, putting his math skills to better use. However, the bookkeepers daughter, Maria, was a different story. Maria was completely opposite from Allastor, constantly bugging him and asking stupid questions about dragons like if her ever went to the bathroom or ate people if he got too angry. She was a young girl about the age of ten, so he played along, patient as always. Though sometimes it amused the black dragon to feed her wrong information and confuse her enough to quiet her for a few heavenly minutes. He did pity the girl though, growing up without a mother because she had complications at birth. This was probably why Allastor himself was so reserved, but Maria was as bright and happy as a little girl could be. In a way, Akira did enjoy her company, she made him smile, a hard feat to accomplish, and she made Allastor happy too, in a bittersweet way.

Then, the unimaginable happened. Akira came late to work, since he had stayed up far too late the previous night and thus overslept, but when he arrived, it was far too quiet. E called, Alastor didn't answer, even though Akira could feel his presence, but there was someone else. Turning the corner, Akira was shocked to find Allastor dead on the floor, and another mysterious figure just above him, holding a single book. That was all Akira could remember; something inside him snapped and his memory was distorted. Once again, he was filled with so many questions, why did the figure kill Alastor? What was so importiant about that book? What happened? Where was Maria...? The girl had all but dissapeared and hadn't been at the library as usual when Akira had arrived.

Even now, ten years later, Akira is still haunted by these questions, but he remains at the library. He has sworn to finish Allastors dream of filling the library with every book ever written, afterall, he had the life span to do it, and no other real ambitions. In the meantime, Akira still persuers answers.

                  [Personality]
Akira is has a very reserved personality. He is quiet, soft spoken, and prefers to keep to himself. He will talk, but he seems to try and brush people off so he can continue going about his buisness. However, this is not the case, he is just oblivious to emotions, common knowlege, inferences, etc. essentially, if you are trying to talk to him just because you want to talk to him, he won't know unless you tell him. Otherwise he will answer questions curtly so he doesnt have to take too much of your time. He is efficiant afterall, but if you get him going, or pick a topic of intrest for him, he can talk about a single subject for hours. Akira overanalyzes just about everything and makes decisions based purely on logic and research. He doesn't understand the concept of human emotion and asks frank questions that can seem harsh at first, but he doesn't use sarcasm so it's always an honest question. Really, Akira is just overall horrible when it comes to social skills, and is used to being alone, but he is very lonely and wishes he could figure out how to be more pleasant. Until then, he just keeps trying new things he reads in books.

                      [Side Notes]

Weapons: Akira, in spite of his lean, calm looks, is actually very physically strong. He uses magic mostly if confronted, seeking to tie up any aggressors and end things there peacefully, but if he must he can easily out wrestle a strong human.
Relationships: Akira is currently single, and has been all his past. Black dragons aren't exactly favored among female dragons.

Akira sat quietly within his domain: The Library. It was one of the few places he felt at ease, mainly because not many people, human or dragon, came inside to bother him, more often than not they would walk in, knowing what they were coming for already, and as such he could keep reading his chosen book in peace. Being a black dragon had its perks, but social interaction was not one of them, therefore he was subjected not only to human alienation, but dragonkind as well. Akira didn't mind though, he held little interest in the lives of others, there was no point. He only did what interested him, or what would provide some spark in his own life, so why should he care about anyone else? Simple, he didn't. For now, he seemed committed to reading every piece of human literature ever made, which seemed like enough social interaction to him at least.

Didn't books written by another's hand technically qualify as looking into the authors mind? Knowing how they thought and reacted just a bit more? If that were the case, it meant he knew tens of thousands of people by now. For such a weak and rather crude species, humans did have a gift for entertaining the intellectual mind. It was intriguing, to say the least, and this 'music' they made... Also interesting. Somehow humans were able to best dragons in any instrument, man made or voice, even though dragons achieved technological perfection when it came to playing or singing, there was always something missing that the humans had when they played. But what...? Akira's mind found itself coming back into focus of the world around him, and realizing that he had gone off thinking instead of actually reading the book in his hands. he hated it when that happened, now he had to find his place again. Page 245 if he remembered correctly, was the last recollection before he began his incessant daydreaming again.

He quickly flipped back to the specified page and scanned the wall of latin text in front of him, eventually finding his place again, however it was obvious he had grown bored with this book, since his thoughts were growing more interesting at the moment, so instead of forcing himself to continue he marked his place and scanned his surrounding area. Perhaps something more challenging was in order, to keep his mind more busy, such as solving Skivver's predictive equations or trying to discover some new mathematical law, unforeseen thus far. It sounded like a good investment of time that would keep him preoccupied for a while, but he wanted something... Different... New... That was usually why books were his first choice, but his eyes grew heavy and tired within their cursed fleshy sockets. He grew irritated occasionally with this frail form, yearning to stretch his wings and take a long flight through the sky just to relax and rest.

He was tempted, but even with little to no people inside the library he knew better than to leave his post. Even black dragons had a sense of duty to whatever job they are assigned, even if that assigned post was given to him by a human. However article 2-9A of the treaty stated that dragons and humans living in Allora were to show no prejudice, and he would not step to a humans level by breaking the treaty as they did constantly. Honestly, it was no secret that if you were known to be a dragon, sometimes you disappeared over night, or were overlooked in a job application. He sighed, clearing his mind once again. "Slowly, I swear I'm becoming one of them. All of these useless thoughts..." He muttered quietly, rubbing his temples and sighing.
