May, 13th, 2013. Was the day the world was thrown into a frenzy when a new threat to the world had surfaced. A group of terrorist known as " Devil's grip" makes itself known to the world by bombing the most populated cities in each continent and revealing that vampires lived amoungst them. But these was'nt your average bombs, instead of flame and shrapnel, a strange purple cloud engulfs the cities for hours. After the clouds fade away the goverment begins to tell people it was just a hoax, till hundreds of people from the cities begin to come down with a fever after eight months since the suposid hoax. Docters had no idea of what had caused the people to break out in fevers. Seeing how the docters could'nt figure out what it was , the leaders of each continent gathered their best scientist to figure out what it was and if a cure could be created for the virus at hand.

Two months later....
Its been two months since the scientist starting working on a cure. They had no luck with the cure but they discovered three things. One of the things they learned was that those who came in contact with the purple cloud were infected with a parasite that grows over time. The parasite is known to jump start the brain when the vessel of the parasite dies. The second thing they learned was the human race was'nt the only race that was affected by the effects of the bombing, the vampires were also affected. The only way they had learned that was because three members of Devil's grip realized that the man they were working for onyl wanted to see the downfall of mankind. But blinded by hatred for the humans, the leader failed to realize that without the humans the vampires would begin to die off since humans were the're main source of food.The last thing they discovered was that some people had a positive reaction to the parasite due to their blood type. Their had been reports that those who were immune to the virus, gained extrodinary strenght, speed, reflexs, hearing dexterity, vision and durabilty had doubled.

Two more months later...

No one was ready or prepared for the outbreak that had took a toll on the world. at first they thought it was just a string of gruesome murders where each victim had been bitten. The news labeled it as " The Zombie Cult". That was the last headline and broadcast on T.Vs all over the world. About 85% of the world is now infected, 10% are now murderers and scavengers and 5% are fighting to continue the search for a cure.

Setting....
This will all take place in a city on the east coast.

Safe zones

1. The Kraken. A huge ice breaker ship where the last of the goverment is still working on a cure to save mankind from exstinction. They have more guns then people to use them so they will accept helping hands. This is their broadcast " This is the captain of The Kraken speaking. we can supply food, medicine and shelter to those who have not been infected. We will be at the docks everyday at 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm. "

2. The Cage. A nice sized prison with strong walls, caged windows and large reinforced fences. The Prison is a safe haven for families who cant defend themselves and who have'nt been infected. This is their broadcast " This is the warrden of the prison, If you can make your way to the visitor room located at the front of the prison without getting bit. I will have gaurds stationed at the waiting room to escort you into the prison, where food and shelter will be provided."

3. The Slums. A huge apartment duplex that is surrounded by a 12 foot tall concrete wall. This is where the bandits, hoodlums, cut throats and scavengers live amoungst each other. If your a member of the society you dont have to worry about any of them attacking you or going after your stuff so long as you stay out of their business. Their broadcast is " If you wanna become one of us you need to pull you own weight around here or else you can just stay out their and be one of those corpse's snack. "

War zones....

1. The city street at night is a very dangerous place to be since thats when feral vampires come out to hunt due to the effect the sun has on them. Feral vampires usualy sleep in abandoned buildings that sunlight cannot enter. While the feral vampires sleep the regular zombies roam the streets night and day. The roof top of most buildings is just as dangerous since large swarms of bats or birds would take apart any survivors who are dumb enough to be outside when a swarm is passing by.

2. The wilderness and waters are just as dangerous as the cities because alot of animals were infected as well. Most of the animales who are infected usually travel in packs.

3. The tunnels. The tunnel is full of vampires who will kill everything on sight except for other vampires. Vampires cant stand zombies or feral vampires . As for humans, whatever human is dumb enough to travel into the tunnel are usaully turned into blood donors but most humans dont last more then two days since the vampires have such a huge thirst for blood since the number of humans has decreased by so much in the year.

Im not sure how many people will join the rp so each crew will consist of 2 members each till we get enough role players so each crew can have 5 members. Most crew members are immune to infection but that does'nt mean your character cant die from blood loss. Also, leaders of each safe zone are NPC.

Each crew can only have one Co Captain

1. Co Captain = In charge of runs for supplies.
2. Driver = Self explanatory
3. Scout = Responsible for finding entrances, exits for buildings. also Signaling the crew for threats
4. Medic = Self explanatory
5. Scientist = They tag along with the crew to collect blood samples and see the variety of infected
6. Sniper = Looks over the crew members from a distance
7. Spotter = Watches the snipers back.
8. Com expert = Supplies the crew with ear pieces. (which ever crew does'nt have a com expert cannot have ear pieces.)
9.(Slum member only) Handy man= Good for making weapons out of house hold items and junk.
10. (Slum females only) Damsel = Some damsels seduce men to protect them or some just lead them into slum traps to take the're belongings.

Time&Day....
