Shrinking Houses
A number of Gaians have reported their houses have shrunk after trying to upgrade to the largest size. We are working on a fix for this. In the meantime, please wait before changing your house size.

Dragon Items Issue
Hey everyone,

We're aware of the issues regarding some of the dragon items not being granted to users. We're still investigating this issue and will be updating you when we have some more information. Dragon Item Resolution

I've just finished running a script to go back through each of the event threads and grant the correct items to those who were missed the first time around. You may have received duplicate grants for some but just like the duplicates from Friday, they're yours to keep and do with however you please. Perhaps you could find a charity or donate them to someone who wasn't able to participate? If you still did not receive a grant for your posts (please check your inventory first), go ahead and post here so I can review it.

Shrinking Houses Fixed

If you had an issue with your house shrinking today, your house size has been reset to the correct dimensions.

If you had an issue with your house shrinking before today, you will should find a pm with a refund notice.

You can upgrade your house from the homes page

Gaia Homes

If the panel is disabled, just choose a style, and click "place my home for me", and then upgrade your house to the desired size.

Boot Grab Gold Reduction

Hey guys, just wanted to let you know that Booty Grabs daily payout has been reduced from 150k to 100k per day. This change was made due to plans to possibly bring back some of the removed fish, but we need the system to be better balanced before doing so. There are no plans to make additional changes to the daily limit at the time.

Removal and blocking of known malware ad

Thanks to the many Gaians who contacted us yesterday to report an ad from eads.equads.com that contained malware.

Such harmful ads are not supposed to be in our regular rotation of advertisements, and we appreciate your having reported the matter to us. After doing more research, we discovered that we were not the only forum site to receive these harmful ads, so we encourage you all to be safe on whatever site you might be visiting and to always have up-to-date security software installed on your system. While most ads online are legitimate, there are some creepy companies out there, so stay vigilant!

We have reported these ads to the ad providers we work with and they (the ads) have been removed from rotation. We've also added filters to prevent further ads from the eads.equads.com host from being shown on Gaia. If you should see any further ads from eads.equads.com, please let us know immediately so we can deal with this issue. For reference, below is an image showing the type of message you would see if you clicked on an ad that contained this malware and it was detected by your security software.

My Gaia - House page update

Hey guys, wanted to give you a heads up that over the next few days the house page under My Gaia will be modified to bring it in line with the housing update in Towns 2.

The items that will be changed are as follows:

Removing home creation from page. (you can do this in Towns 2)
Removing Change Style, and Relocate options. (these options available in Towns 2 housing options)
Removing Lock Home setting in Account Preferences. (option available in Towns 2 housing options)
Remove Chat Permission on homes page. (option available in Towns 2 housing options)

Follow up survey about mobile games!

If your browser is being redirected to "FatCow.com" when you are on GaiaOnline.com features, you have the BetterGaia browser extension/add-on installed and one of the websites that add-on depends on appears to have expired.

GaiaOnline.com (thew website) and Gaia HQ (the Gaia Interactive, Inc. company that owns, runs, and maintains GaiaOnline.com) are not responsible for BetterGaia or any issues related to BetterGaia. We have notified the developers of BetterGaia of this issue, but we have no way to fix it for them.

If you become frustrated with it, you can disable BetterGaia the same way you would disable any other extension in your browser:

Filing Help Center tickets is now easier!

Hey everyone,

We've heard your feedback about how difficult it can be to file tickets at the Help Center, whether it was actually finding where to file a ticket or coming across the dreaded No Results Were Found – 380 error when trying to visit the Help Center. We've taken your feedback and made some changes that we think should make the ticking filing process a lot simpler and intuitive. Now whenever you visit the Help Center through either the "Help" link or "Contact Us" link you should be able to file a ticket easily. I've provided a more thorough explanation in a blog post with some information if you're having trouble, you can find that here.
