I am currently attending university, where I'm a senior (one more semester left!) majoring in Archaeology and minoring in Religious Studies (don't confuse this with Theology). Yup, I'm a nerd like that.
My top two hobbies are art and music. I draw a fair amount (I have a bad habit of doodling during lectures), and I have quite a few OCs to torture as a result. If you want to see some of my work, you can visit me at DeviantART here. I use both traditional and digital mediums alike.
In terms of being involved with music, I've been playing clarinet for 10 years. I currently play first clarinet (second chair though) in a local community band. I've been a huge band nerd since junior high, so I was glad that I was able to find this community group when I graduated from high school so I could continue playing. We're a tight group too - it's really like a second family. XD I'm also an ex-orch dork. During the last three years I played in the local youth orchestra. It was there I had my first experience with playing bass clarinet - something I've been wanting to try since junior high. Too bad I don't get to play bass more often!
Art and music are merely hobbies. I have no intention of pursuing either professionally. That would take all the fun out of them, in my opinion.
Some other things I enjoy are reading fantasy novels, steampunk, Victorian costume, video games (though I don't play them too often), and Baroque side tables. In the last few months I've started poking around World of Warcraft as well.
