One of the main changes is the human/reaper connection. I know a few of the reapers have been heavily based off of this before I changed it, so don't worry about having to change anything you've already done. It simply means that any new reapers will have to abide by this.

Also, some forums have been cleared out. Don't worry, I've saved them. When the new layout is done I will be going back and delivering all of the pets that need delivered. If you receive one please let me know if you'd like to keep it or give it away.

6 || Anyone may join the guild! I actually recommend it even if you don't have a reaper as I might use it for events from time-to-time. There are no requirements so don't worry about typing something up in the request part.

On a side note, I've gotten a few questions wondering why the shop is called "Haven Awaits" instead of "Heaven Awaits."

Despite how it looks, it is not a typo!
I didn't want to use Heaven because of the images it creates. You say "Heaven" and people assume "God" you say "Haven" and people think "Safe Place."
Hope that clears up some confusion!

Note to Gaians: Reapers reside in a world between worlds known as Silent. Most reapers do not stay in this world, however. Instead, they travel Gaia, communicating with other reapers. Only adventurous teen reapers and adult reapers travel to Silent, and only for short amounts of time. There is a main spire called Tirra where elder reapers file paperwork on each reaper and their assigned humans. This paperwork, often jokingly called a "Death Certificate," is not the first "stage", but rather the blueprint for your reaper. Blue hued papers denote a "male" appearance, while pink hued denote "female." Tan hued offer a choice of either.

EDIT There have been several questions about what to put in the "philosophical" category, so I thought I'd clear that up. Philosophical views are pretty much their morals, how they view life and religion, and their part in the "grand scheme" of things. You can pick one aspect or list a few, it's up to you. As a young reaper, it is your job to shadow the human child you've been assigned to. Follow them as they travel through life's perils, and get to know them as no one can. Why?
That is because you are the one they will follow to their eternal rest, and how they think and behave will decide your appearance.

At first, the human will be able to see and communicate with the reaper. Innocent and pure souls are able to glimpse into the other realm. Often times the reaper will take on an appearance to please their human child, as well as display traits based on astral zodiac signs. As both are young themselves, they thrive off of each other. Adults condone this behaviour because they cannot see the reapers themselves, and just say the child is playing with their "imaginary friend." Reapers at this stage usually don't communicate with each other or venture far from their humans.

As the human grows, it becomes blind to the other realm. The reaper may become bitter, feeling as if they've lost their only friend. They may retain their pleasant shapes or take on more frightening aspects in an attempt to scare their human into seeing them. Around this age reapers begin to communicate with each other and travel around, venturing far from their human.

When the human becomes an adult, the reaper does as well. At this point they know their humans better than the humans do themselves. Reapers take on characteristics based on likes, dislikes, morals, and the philosophical thoughts of the humans. They choose which to display based on their own personalities. For example, a cruel reaper may take on nightmarish form, while a more peace-loving reaper would take on something beautiful. This is also the appearance the reaper will display when they take the human to their death, which at this point is quickly closing in...

What happens to a reaper after they've delivered their human? Well, that is for you to decide.
Some aspire to become higher ranking reapers and others settle down to make a "family." Still others may shrivel and become more grotesque, while some become more beautiful and radient. Others can become something...else...
Note: This stage can only be reached through RP. How you RP determines what your reaper will look like, and this stage will have custom lines.

So, now that you have your reaper, how will you show them off? The images are a bit too...large for displaying in your signature. Aside from going and editing the image yourself, there is another solution!
Certificates! Not death certificates, but mini-signature certificates that display your reaper's name, date of birth, and you, the owner! And the reaper itself of course.
Here's a sample:

I wanted to keep them fairly simple. You want to show off your reaper; why do you need a distracting background? But some people like more complex certificates, so later on I will make those available as well.

A note about events: Instead of the usual "egg," "basket," or "item" preview, a "Death Certificate" will be posted detailing the likes, dislikes, and way the human your reaper is attached to died. If you win, you will be able to fill these in yourself. However, you are not required to do so. I can also fill them in randomly, which would be the same as getting a randomly colored pet in any other thread. The purpose of this is to give you a glimpse into the appearance of the reaper and allow you some customization...if you want.
Also, the timing of the event will affect the appearance (based on the astral zodiac). This is configured based on real time. For example, if an event occurs mid-April, the reaper will display traits of an Aries.
The Chinese zodiac bases will be special events that occur once a year, on the Chinese new year.

Flatsales will be held in-thread; the price for each certificate will be 8k. Details will be posted here if flatsales should occur, and an announcement will be made.

Games and contests will be held both in-thread and in the guild. Details will be posted here if either should occur, and an announcement will be made.
