The proprietor of the udon-ya's failure to promptly answer the door is quite unusual; though it is true that these are not the usual hours for the shop to be open, Setsushi still usually answers a knock with a projection of greeting at least. What could be the cause of his negligence -- an ill mood? absence? Some sort of foul play?

... ... ... In fact, the Maiden of Ice, ever-vigilant in defense of the Empire, has once again fallen asleep at the inside table, this time leaning so far back in his chair that his weight threatens to topple it -- and a visitor approaching the house would be able to hear issuing through the open windows a rumblingly loud, ungentlemanly snore.

From behind Chourou, Ako glances behind her and notices another stranger nearby. She was getting more and more used to seeing humans around, along with the occasional more unique Gaian, but she still feels intimidated when they seem to notice her.

The Porcelain girl tries to be an itty bit friendly anyway, and waves hesitantly to the grey-skinned woman. Then she sticks the fingers of her other hand into her mouth and gives off a shy feeling.

Meanwhile, Chourou notices the sound of ... snoring from within the house? The Knight of Bukoku edges closer to the house, frowning at the window, and directes a projected greeting inside. She still keeps half an eye on her daughter, who hangs back a little, and offers the other woman who is already starting to back away a polite hello and a smile.

Phaerna had expected angry eyes to turn on her. To ask her what she was doing there. To tell her she didn't belong there. These were all things she'd had an irrational fear of for as long as she could recall, despite the fact that the people she'd met had been, if not good to her, had at least ignored her.

She had just begun to weave back through the bushes, when something gave her pause. The slightest tickling at the base of her mind that drew her eyes back to the strangers. Neither adult had noticed her, as they both seemed moreso occupied with getting into the house.

Someone had, though. A little someone who peered at her from across the yard, one tiny hand opening and closing in a wave, while seeming at the same time trying to hide.

She blinked, feeling herself waver, and then the corner of her mouth twitched up into a slight smile. She rarely saw children who weren't tearing around other people's yards, yelling at the tops of their lungs.

"Hi..." she mouthed back at the little one, returning the wave.

Not quite unconscious enough to sleep through a focused projection, Setsushi wakes with a start, gives off a sharp feeling of distress as he feels himself falling through space, but then catches himself on the table and pulls his chair safely upright.

Who? he questions, scrambling clumsily to open the door. "Dame Chourou?? Is something the matter?"

Uki hurried to catch up with her mother and sister from the shop far down the street, where she had become distracted by a flower display in the window. It was getting into springtime, finally, and she was quite excited about having some sort of garden again.

Even if it wasn't going to be anywhere near as good as the one Daddy had gotten her.

Uki pauses curiously for a moment before projecting an apology for her tardiness to her mother. The girl sighs slightly upon seeing that Ako has her fingers in her mouth once again. Silly girl, she gently chides her sister with a smile as she stops walking next to her family.

Mako though now thoroughly confused with all the commotion going on around him, as people keep showing up at this small house. He at least knows of the dark elfs/drow and nods his greeting to the Female. Turning to the person whom has walked out of the house ... 'wow' he thought,' hes tall...' as Mako is thinking this he relises that Awe and Shock are no longer in his hands, the two opposite colored kittens have climbed upon his shoulders making it look like he had an odd scarf of some kind, anyway they where both looking rather intensely but kindly at the little girl.

Turning his attention to the others around him he bows to the tall male, "Hello, i am sorry to intrude but my two cats here *points to Shock and Awe* got away from me and ended up at your house. And these two *gestures to the woman and small girl* where just telling me of your home/shop....." Mako stops rambling as he realizes what he had begun to do, also realizing he had yet to introduce himself and the two cats,"im sorry i hadnt introduced myself, I am Mako Ashikage and these two are Shock (white cat) and Awe(black cat)."
