Cinemas IRL: Narnia!

Reminder to Bay Area Gaians: our next Cinemas IRL screening is in SF, and it's coming up fast! We've rented out a screen at the AMC Van Ness 14 theater, and we'll be hosting a free showing of The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian tomorrow at 7:00 PM. To get in, all you'll need is a printout of your Gaia profile.

Just a warning: we had an unexpectedly huge turnout at our NYC Cinema event, so we'd like to remind everyone that seats are first come, first serve. We've booked a whole screening room, but even the biggest theater can only fit so many people without angering the fire marshal. There's a chance that more people will show up than the room can hold, so make sure you have a backup plan in case you don't manage to get in.

Remember that we're hosting a free screening of the new Indiana Jones flick over in Dallas, TX next week, too! Here's what you need to know:

Gaia's Goin' to Fanime!

Gaia's heading out to Fanime in San Jose, CA this weekend, and we've got plenty of cool stuff:

    • A Gaia Panel, where the staff will shed light on some cool upcoming features
    • An official Gaia Gathering, where you can meet your fellow Gaians and ask the Gaia staff embarrassing questions
    • Plenty of free Gaia Gold cards for all, plus a free item to be used in Gaia's upcoming MMO
    • Some awesome prizes for a few lucky winners

Since Fanime is kinda our home convention, there will probably be a whole bunch of Gaia employees wandering around the convention floor at various times, so keep an eye out for familiar faces.

For all the info on Fanime, check out our convention homepage:

Gaia NY Events

We'd like to extend our warmest thanks to all the awesome Gaians who joined us for our recent events in NYC. Our crashing of the CBS Early Show went wonderfully, and our first IRL Cinemas showing was a smashing success (except for the fact that we couldn't fit everyone in sad ). You can watch a short clip of our Early Show shenanigans over at YouTube:

Check it out! If you dig our tomfoolery, remember to vote on the video and leave us some comments.

P.S. In our announcement, we said that we'd have Gaia merchandise for everyone who came, but twice as many people showed up as we anticipated even in our craziest estimates. We'd like to extend our apologies to everyone who didn't wind up getting a hat. We'll bring more next time!

The Weekly Poll

If you've got a second, please mosey over to the Gaia Community Discussion forum and pay a visit to the Opinion Primate. He seems almost pathologically curious about your opinions, and we're worried that he might get unruly if you don't indulge him.
