In attempt to make the forums more fun and cut down on a recent flood of spamming by bots (programs that take over accounts and automatically post nasty stuff), we've decided to set up a system to slow them down.

Starting sometime in the near future, you may (on rare occasions) see a CAPTCHA field when you try to post on the forums. It's one of those things that makes you type in a secret word before you can post; you may have seen them during the registration process, or when posting profile comments. This will make it much more difficult for bots to spam the forum.

We know this might be a little annoying, and we're sorry for any irritation that it may cause. Hopefully it won't last forever. For now, it should be one step closer to a better forum with less bots.
