my art program died, erasing about 30 minutes of work give or take. so you can imagine i was a little upset.
pretty much the deadline is passing as i speak so i can't add more, but i wish i'd been able to save some daetails

i still.....don't like drawing chibis HAHA but i think this one looks better than my half-hearted attempts before. and i really wish procreate had a stabilizer option AHHHH! i had to redraw so many lines,,,the free art program i was using before even had a stabilizer sobs

Day 2: Hydrangea & Color Palette

A second attempt at watercolor hydrangeas as the first attempt
was rather disappointing. I also tried to use the color palette but
my watercolor choices are rather limited and how I can mix them.

I haven't been posting times as things are experimental and I'm
learning. Also, the amount of time it takes to get the photos off
my phone and then edit them in clip before posting. Edits, figuring
out alignment, and other miscellaneous things to make sure the
image looks presentable do take time. Also, ghost mode.

I just finished a month of watercolours and it's WAY more difficult than it looks.
And it takes flipping ages between putting each layer on and then sitting and waiting for it to dry. Too tedious for me!

Do you have any tutorial videos you'd recommend?
I've come across many do's and don'ts. Any techniques, hints, tips or tricks
you'd suggest? I bought my first hair dryer last October and I've used it more
for drying my watercolors than my hair... at least it has a dual purpose.

Do you have an online album of your paintings?

I have my Instagram, all my paintings are on there.

I did a short course at Domestika called Modern Watercolour Techniques. I think it cost about £11 but it was a good way of getting started as I'd never done any before. The lady who recorded it is very thorough and explains things well (even if I did have to read the subtitles!) But other than that I just watched some youtube videos and played. I'm sure I'm doing it all wrong xd

Lots of people recommended hair driers! I paint late at night though, it's the only time I get any peace with the kiddos homeschooling so I can't use my noisy noisy drier or I'd wake the whole house up. Someone else suggested working on several different things at once so one can be drying while you're painting the next one.

I also do stuff late at night, but like you, I won't use the hair dryer as the hubby
will be sleeping and as he still works, I don't want to wake him. I've seen some
youtubers do exactly that. Work so much on one piece and then work on a second
and third while the others dry.

Thank you very much. With as late as this comment is, I think I half killed my motivation
