Summer faded to fall...
Fall faded to winter...
Winter faded to spring...
The seeds of change overtook the Kawani lands in all its effervescent glory. For all the sadness, pain, and frustration the seasons brought upon the Spirits' living creatures, there was also strength, desire, and most importantly, hope.
Hope for the present.
Hope for the future.
Hope for the Spirits' blessings to overcome them all.
First there were whisperings. How could they encourage the Spirits to heal the lands and creatures that had been so wounded during the changing tides? Then came the rumblings of bringing the change more literally, change the world they lived in into something more than just themselves. Finally, there came the deep-down innate desire to bring those changes in a flourish of beauty that nobody had seen before, so that future generations would see the changes for themselves.
But first, they had to heal the land, to show the Spirits that they, too, could heal the world one step at a time. They had to prove to the Spirits that change comes in forms, all of which are just as valid as the others. Most importantly, they had to start with the physical.
It started with the seedlings from the flutters, spreading the budding flowery life across the scars that shaped the earth.
It was followed by the saplings of the baby trees, tended to so softly, and with great care, by those blessed with a green thumb.
The tending to the waters, the burns, the struggling forests followed suit. One by one the creatures that made the Kawani lands took to healing their home through the power of nature. For they knew even the Spirits couldn't look down without seeing the positive, physical changes that were slowly taking place.
