Little D in Wonderland

Little D felt herself drifting to sleep as her brother, Diedrich, read to her from his great big book. She suspected he could talk faster than he could read, because he was always changing the story somehow. He liked to insert himself into the fairy-tales he read to her at bedtime. This time they were reading Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. Little D liked to imagine what was happening, and thought herself to be very good at pretend, when suddenly she thought she saw movement out of the corner of her eye. She lifted her pink head off of her pillow as Diedrich's voice continued droning on, and she saw what appeared to be a metallic rabbot with one single large teal eye overlooking the room from next to her bedroom window.
When she spotted the little guy, he appeared to jump in alarm, and dashed off through her bedroom door and down the hallway. Little D sat up in a hurry, and, her brother Diedrich still obliviously reading aloud, pushed herself down from her bed to follow after the curious sight. As she turned down the hallway to chase after the rabbot, she found the corridor growing longer and the walls and ceiling coming closer so that soon she was crouching to crawl through what felt more like a rabbit hole. In fact, where once were doorways and family photos of her nieces and nephews, now seemed to be dirt and clumps of vegetation. But, Little D never gave up, pushing past this until suddenly the ground fell out from under her.
And then she was falling.

Seemingly forever.
At first it was dark, but as she continued to fall, she noticed the pit was walled in shelves and cupboards with strange contents placed haphazardly among them. She saw a great many clocks and eggs, some strange food combinations (like sweet-tart candy on toast?) as well as a number of stuffy portraits of rabbits. The colors seemed brighter here, and Little D found herself wondering if she was in one of her brother's strange books.
She kept falling. Either the well was very deep, or Little D found herself falling very slowly, because there didn't seem to be an end in sight! "I should suppose," said Little D to herself, "That I should think nothing of falling off Durem Tower after this." She laughed to herself. "I wonder if I have fallen through the whole of Gaia?" she mused when all of a sudden thump! She came upon a heap of sticks and dry leaves, and the fall was over.

Surprised, Little D looked around her new surroundings, and found the rabbot from earlier peering at her curiously with his strange teal eye. He had a playing card scotch-taped to his torso, she noticed. "Is that the Two of Clubs?" she asked, and the rabbot leaned forward to answer, but soon looked behind him. Little D followed his glance. "Where are we?" she asked, earnestly.
"Wonderland," came the whirr of the rabbot's mechanical voice.
"Oh!" exclaimed Little D. She found herself amidst what would have been a beautiful garden, except that that the plants were as tall as a house looming over her head. In the distance, she could see a massive metallic city, and she felt she could hear the faint beatings of drums. She could faintly make out a marching army of larger rabbots. "They look like they're going to war," she noted, and the rabbot nodded at her, before pointing directly behind her with his little cannon arm.
Little D turned to see a great table in the distance covered in a hodgepodge of items, and surrounded by a great many fluffy rabbits and animals who all seemed to be engaged in foolish activities, but didn't seem to care a whit about the approaching army.
"I came to your world seeking your help," explained the rabbot, "The Minions of Easter are tired of April's Fools running amok and they intend to go to war against them. They plan to use the wish." Little D turned back to look at her new rabbot friend.
"What can I do to help?" she asked, concerned for her new friend.
"We must seek out the Heart of the Park, it can grant a single wish a year, and we can use that wish to get you home," the rabbot responded, "but to do so, we must gain allies and gather good cheer. Both groups are trying to gather cheer so they can take the wish for themselves. Easter wants their leader to be in charge of the land so it can be Easter year round, while the Fools only wish to party every day. We must convince them that your wish of reaching home is more important."
Little D nodded, resolute. Really, what choice did she have if she ever wanted to get home? "Where do we start?" she asked.
"Follow me," replied the rabbot. Little D was beginning to think of him as Clubs. She followed her new friend Clubs, unsure of where he would lead her...
