Welcome to the Color Scheme Showcase, exploring a small, neglected, or up-and-coming color scheme every week! This thread focuses on discussion and is not a thread for rating avatars.

See a scheme you think should be featured? Checkout out our Suggestion Thread. The list of current suggestions in on the first page and the next week's scheme gets rolled from the list.

Participation Prize Drawing

You must follow all rules and guidelines of the thread to be entered into the drawing. Please read the first post carefully.
Here is a subset as a reminder:

-You should NOT post just your avatar or mock, at least something written must be included
-Writing "I like/dislike this scheme" does not add to the discussion but "I like/dislike this scheme because -insert a reason here-" does

How to enter:
Each week you post an avatar or mock will net you one entry into the prize drawing. Additionally if you have not submitted an avatar or mock but have added to the discussion of the week's scheme(s) you may earn an entry into the prize drawing. Only one entry may be earned per week.

Deadline and Drawing:
Each week begins on Monday after the new scheme has been posted.
Each week ends on a Monday before the new scheme has been posted.
The month begins with the first scheme posted on a Monday within that month. i.e. Monday the 4th would be a valid beginning date
The month ends on the Monday after the last Monday in a month. i.e. If Monday the 29th is the last week of the month the entry period ends Monday the 4th/5th of the next month

The drawing will be done in thread through the random number generator. The drawing will occur on Monday after the new color for the new month has been put into the thread. Entries will have numbers assigned to them in the order they are received.

Prizes:
The winner will have a choice between one of three prizes:
- An item the mule wore during one the weeks
- A Mythrill Coin Package worth 10,000,000,000 Gold/1,000 Platinum
- A piece of artwork of one of their avatars in one of several styles

Claiming your Prize:
You may collect your prize by either posting in the thread directly or by sending a pm to Color Scheme Showcase if you prefer.

It's a bit on the fancier side, but I'm surprised of the variety the Royal Icing Combo has under its name.

It should enjoy getting more of both casual and dynamic stuff, though.

Well what do you know a color combo showcase I can get behind and have been using like crazy since the week the monthly box came out and we were treated to a decent amount of Royal Icing items. It's too bad I'm not on my computer right now because I'm helping out with my sister during her recovery from her surgery or I'd be trying my hand at doing a Royal Icing recolor of one of the items I honestly do think should be in Royal Icing. Royal Icing Queen of Heart anyone? We so need more Royal Icing on the site for sure. We also need more items with male things in Royal Icing because this is definitely a more female based color combo going by all the dresses and skirts we have in this combo. It's not like Independence where there are some good offerings for the male avatars as well and we need to remedy that.

I could've sworn Queen of Heart had a Royal Icing version! Seems it doesn't. I'll try to make some mocks tomorrow after my midterm! (Unless Stanford wants to claim dibs on this one)

I wish there were more Royal Icing background items as well, there aren't nearly enough of these!

It's like you knew eek

I really enjoy the oxford blue used in the color scheme
the rest of the colors used aren't terribly important to me
much like esmeralda green in the demure color scheme
but I really like that it's commonly paired with white or offwhite for selfish OC reasons

I've got some mocks I made up of stuff I'd like to see
but it's not really Royal Icing so much as they're oxford paired with other colors rofl
I mean I'll post them if you want

My only thing when doing mocks, and I have two in progress that I need to finish, is that I don't know how to get the individual poses like the background of something like Queen of Heart or the hair in anything as a larger image like you see in a lot of the mocks people show off. Another item I want to try my Royal Icing hand at recoloring has hair with a distinct set of stars on the underside and I'd be redoing it just so I could have the hairpins in the right gold to go with the rest of my Royal Icing stuff, It's funny when I like the look of a pose in an item I want to have that pose in as many versions as possible to have it go with a lot of my different overall avatar looks. So if I have independence or Royal Icing avatars then I want legs and accessories that go with them. xp

You mean as in, have them the size of the avatar dress-up page, or as in, showing the back of it without the avatar base (like the long hair on this one, for example)?

Because to make the avatar base disappear, you can equip a paw fur from the "All Gaia" search option. Equip the Everything Is Fine, I'm Fine "c:" face and the "Punishing [...]" g-string to make editing face and undies out easier (you gotta repixel sometimes), and you're done.
