- I notice Gaia tends to make items for Geisha, Maiko, Wa Lolita, but Oiran are overlooked. Even though Gaia makes items mostly for the Geisha look, they aren't accurate and aren't what a real Geisha would wear. The items Gaia create are just geishaesque and fantasy. Geisha are more popular than Oiran. About the only item that really looks like Oiran were in thought a little is the Futakuchi Onna item (the obi bow). It would be really great if we could get an EI or REI full of Oiran items. Plenty of people get Geisha confused with Oiran. They are very different. Oiran wear more hair ornaments in their hair and have a much fancier wig than a Geisha. They do not wear tabi on their feet and the shoes they wear are much more higher than what Geisha and Maiko wear. Oiran wear their obi bow in the front and Geisha wear theirs in the back. Also, more clothes are worn. Oiran wear an uchikake on top of their kimono. Gaia, I think this is a great idea, I would love to see this come to fruition one day! It would also be great if you could make Kamuro items. Kamuro are usually little girls dressed in red with hair ornaments on their head (sometimes they have no hair ornaments). One is usually crossing her arms while the other carries a tray that is used for the ash from kiseru to be dumped in (or for tea).
- To any artist that may be interested: This thread holds many ideas for not only Oiran but for Geisha too. Each page has ideas to what me and others would like to see made. We want accurate items. We mainly want Oiran items to be put on Gaia since there are a bunch of Geishaesque stuff for people to make a fantasy Geisha with. But most are tired of Geishaesque and actually want accurate Geisha items and accurate Oiran items. Please don't get Oiran mixed up with Geisha, because there are many differences between them as stated above. So if any artist is interested, please please please help us Gaians!!!!! emotion_kirakira
