I dunno, It's just, the more I think and participate discussing over this, the more tired I get of all this.
I think I really just focus in playing with the items I have, posting in the forums and that's it
I want to start drawing more anyway, spending less time here. I wasted so much money and time here, it makes me want to puke all night.

Gaia has gotten rather ridiculous with their Cash Shop releases and with the prices.
And, while I hate to say it, Gaia staff had been becoming more and more like the US government... Not listening to their people and making it all about the money... It's rather sickening and has to stop!

I'm not sure how it does. It has my quest in it, yeah, but I've been working on this quest for two, maybe three, weeks.

Yeah, inflation sucks, but that's not the main point of this thread.
Inflation, Flynn's Booty, the Cash Shop and Club Verge are all parts of this, I can't deny that, but what we're really sick of is how greedy Gaia is becoming. The site is slowly transforming into this place you can either afford or get left behind in.

We've never had problems with GC before when they were selling a few EIs and MCs, but now the sales are out of control and the majority of the items released require you to spend real money or be put at the mercy of those who can afford to. How can Gaia justify charging $50-$1,000 for ONE ITEM? They can't, but they don't have to because it's money in their pockets. Never mind the impact it's had on what used to be a fun community.

I hate the greed and money-mongering this website is teaching the thousands of young people on this site. Isn't there enough in this world to make us super consumers? We just want the site to focus on becoming a place of community again rather than going economy based when the economy isn't even working on here or in real life. It should bring back more games that don't require GC and start putting some focus back into the social aspects of this site.

Just because we can't afford Gaia doesn't mean we deserve any less than someone who can.

What I don't get is why they keep bringing Flyyn's Booty back. I say kick her booty outta here and let her stay in 'deep space' forever. Maybe she'll get hit with an asteroid, I dunno. lol

Items I've wanted for a while and been trying to save up for are now WAY overpriced for myself. I've sat atop my tiny amount of Gaia Gold for a while. And well lookie there, I've never needed to buy ANY Gaia Cash. The only way I've gotten Gaia Cash was through the little offers tree. Even then, I have yet to spend any, I bought one item, it was an MC and that was say three years ago. emotion_eyebrow I have no intentions of spending any more GC, let alone use REAL MONEY to buy fake, online money. Hell no.

Back on the subject if the site dies? Hey, look what happened to Tinier Me. They had to shut down too. That was my first Avatar Creating money earning website. I love that place so much more than Gaia. Hey, I'm fine with it gone though. I feel the only reason I'm even on Gaia anymore is just to make my avi look adorable, and to RP in my various Guilds. If the sites gonna go down, I might as well get all my OC information and just hang out at Iwaku Roleplay forever HAHA. rofl

Gaia has been doing just fine with the money they've been making up until now.
I honestly think they're doing all this money grabbing lately so they can make enough money to launch this sister site they've been going on about.
But if Gaia doesn't have the money without bleeding us dry to launch said site, maybe they should really reconsider doing it at all. stare

What could they do about inflation?
Gaia's made it clear that they want to have a very hands-off policy when it comes to the MP (other than instilling that stupid tax).
I've been trying to think of ways on how they could maybe intervene and bring some prices back down, but I've got nothing...

You are taking this far too seriously. YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, MySpace are all examples of other social sites where you can interact with people. Use them if you want another option.
